I recently 100%'d Super Mario Bros. Wonder. What an awesome game! It's games like this that make me proud to be a Mario fan for as long as I've been one. Wonder's right up there with Mario 3 and World as among the best 2D Mario games, and I'm not kidding when I say that.

I just gotta figure out what game I should finish next. I know I'm close to finishing Tears of the Kingdom, so maybe I'll focus on that next. Too bad my backlog is incredibly massive though, and I get overwhelmed very easily. I do wanna play Sonic Superstars and the Super Mario RPG remake as well, but I'm in no rush.

@MarioLover92 If I had the time and attention span, I'd probably be a linguist. Other languages intrigue me. Part of the problem too is due to personality and previous experiences, I don't like being put on the spot and feeling like I'm judged. So it's very difficult for me to try to communicate in a language I'm not comfortable with. I realize some people go through this a lot in various parts of the world and it's a form of exposure therapy, but it's not something I normally run into outside of online spaces. I did try somewhat in Germany. However, due to the education system and foreign programming out there, some folks - particularly younger ones - had much better English than my German. XD And I did study it in high school and retained a lot, but that was almost a decade ago now.

Oh, Indy is more like a 3-4 hour drive for me. St. Louis would be more doable in a day, though I'd probably spend the night somewhere if I needed to be in the area for several days anyway. the closest I've been to NYC is Philadelphia for a short work related conference. That was nice, but we didn't get a lot of time outside of the conference to sightsee. We did manage to see The Liberty Bell and some of the historic district at least.

Ohhh, I know that feeling... I'm pretty much the same way. I'm not exactly built for public speaking myself, lol. That's cool you studied it in high school, I know a few words throughout a few different languages (I know a few Japanese words for example), but that's about it.

Gotcha, that's about as long as getting to NYC from my home. Depending on how packed highways are and stuff like that. That's cool you got to do a little bit of sightseeing at least, I do like to be adventurous whenever I'm out traveling. Then again, who doesn't?

Now that Monday's over, four days left to go until Trolls Band Together early access. The weekend can't come quick enough! Think starting tomorrow, I'm going to watch the whole series one movie per night starting with Trolls, then Trolls Holiday, then Trolls World Tour, then Trolls: Holiday In Harmony, finishing with the new movie on Saturday.

Including the two holiday specials as they take place after their respective movies, and add to the overall story of Poppy and Branch.

Cool, glad you're having a wonderful time. All I have is four days left until the showing.

Yeah, it's a nice treat, but sadly that cocoa is only available around Christmastime. So I have to wait for mid November just to be able to enjoy it again. At least trying it got me liking the white hot chocolate as an alternative throughout the year. Starbucks said the peppermint one could be bought any time of year, but I think that's a mistake as the app says "out of season."

The Super Game Boy Donkey Kong 94 pause screen I remember looked like a SNES quality picture. I'm also reminded Donkey Kong Land didn't allow color changing, but the border was the trees from DKC. The coolest was Space Invaders... it gave you a full blown SNES version of the game by playing on Super Game Boy. Holy cow it was cool. You could play the Game Boy one with the arcade border, or you can play this full screen SNES version with special backgrounds and everything. I just found video of it. 12:20 mark.

Kirby Super Star would be perfect online, especially since the game has co-op. One of the players plays as Kirby's helpers when they spawn.

Cool, I saw Frozen at my friend's house. Was a nice day. Got to eat pizza, watch Frozen, and play some games afterwards. Even brought over my Wii U. Crazy to think it's turning 10 this year. Hope you enjoy Finding Nemo when you around to it. Once Upon A Studio was done too well, also it's going to be in theaters alongside Wish.

Nice. That WWE event was the first time I went to MSG, I was surprised at how huge it was. It pretty cool though, while I was at the event one time, I actually can rewatch it as I went to a Monday Night Raw taping, and the episode is on Peacock, lol. Yeah, it's funny how that's the only time I've been on an above land train ride, the other ones I've been on were all underground, and it was rather boring since it's dark tunnels.

Thank you, I've recently finished Mario Wonder, and I did have a great time with it. I went ahead and got 100% completion as well! That sounds like a fun way to prep for the Trolls Band Together showing.

Ah OK, gotcha. It seems like you don't have to wait too long though, just a couple weeks at most. Huh, that's weird... do they generally have peppermint available regardless of what the app says? It seems like a glitch, wouldn't be surprised since I've seen similar instances in the past.

Wow that's cool, I remember seeing another video showing the Game Boy version of Space Invaders being played on a Super Game Boy. It's crazy impressive how they managed to pull this off. Turning the Game Boy version into a full-blown SNES remake. Even the sound effects seem to be spot-on to the arcade original.

Yeah for sure, I've actually played it online with another friend. We also finished Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3 together, and that was my first time finishing them actually! Even though I played a ton of DKC2 as a kid.

Nice, that sounded like a good time. Yeah... I can't believe Frozen's been around for a decade. Gosh I feel old, lol. Ah yeah, Wish is the next Disney animated movie, right? I did see a movie poster and a few trailers of that online recently. I should give that a watch.

Oh that's cool you can give that a rewatch. Just curious, have you ever been to the Nintendo store in NYC? I've actually been there two times in the past and it's a really cool store. I still have my big Mario figure from there, too. Gotcha, so most of your past train rides were in subways. They can be good for getting around the city at least, assuming you're familiar with its layout of course. NYC is pretty massive though, lol. I'd love to take more train rides in general... they're fun, classy, and relaxing. Too bad there's no train station in my area though. At least, not for passengers. I'd prefer taking a train over an airplane personally... and in the case of amusement parks, definitely a train over a roller coaster for me. Still not a fan of anything too fast and crazy.

Heck no am I doing the final level in Mario Wonder. Already 20 attempts in and barely any progress made. I am perfectly fine not getting the final badge.

That was hard, but really fun once you got the timing down. Same goes for the second special world stage.

@blindsquirrel I really liked the special stage with Goomba

Overally, I really think they outdid themselves with the levels, and I think it's thanks in no small part to Mario Maker. Previous games had great level desgin, but this one just cranks creativity up to 11

It’s the best 2D game, IMO. My only problem was the lack of boss creativity, although the final fight was amazing. I really don’t think that any stages or worlds were bad, the final stage is just brutally hard.

@blindsquirrel I dosing Wonder so I have some content left, but yeah the bosses are just very normal for a Mario game. It's just Bowser Jr with slightly different movesets.

Although now that I mentioned it, I remember one stage where he summoned water and it started swirling around, making huge droplets in which you had to swim and avoid him. That was super neat.

It's definitely one of the best 2D games ever, and a splendid game, tons of fun.
