You know, I used to doodle a lot when I was little. Sometimes video game characters like Sonic, most times it's these weird little guys with egg heads, bodies and feet with little scribbles for hands getting into all kinds of silly misadventures. Oh, how I loved to draw my imagination...
Then came middle school, and my parents and teachers forced me to stop doodling in class so I'd get through my incredibly boring classes. I tried to get back into drawing a few years later in art class at high school, but the teacher didn't want me drawing silly cartoons, I was supposed to focus on realism. If I had the same mindset as the guy who started the Captain Underpants series, I'd have told my teacher something that I can't repeat here. But no, I got discouraged and lost interest in drawing for two decades, only returning to it because, for some odd and bizarre reason, artists keep increasing the prices of their commissions online.
So instead of paying a penny anymore, I figured why not draw my own OCs? Granted my self-esteem is far too low to consider taking advice on how to, ahem, "improve" my skills (I actually got kicked off a Discord server because I kept ignoring art advice) and therefore I won't be able to work for an animation studio. Then again, they'd force me to make changes to my characters, so maybe the lack of studio work isn't so bad after all.
DS is a machine that saved humanity back when 00s ended. I'm sure with everything going to shet, the universe was supposed to implode, but because of DS, it didn't.

@blindsquirrel Except that A: you need constant internet to watch the movie while physical doesn't require it, and B: not all movies are gonna stay on Disney+'s service, they recently re-added the Home Alone series apparently (according to the "new on Disney+" lineup) while we're still missing "Dr. Dolittle" (the Eddie Murphy one).
I was never really a fan of the early Wii commercials in North America. Just two guys driving to random houses saying "Wii would like to play" instead of something clever for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, like, maybe something to top the commercial for the N64 original? (the one of Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong and Pikachu skipping through a flower field, then Mario trips Yoshi and they all get into a fight while the song "Happy Together" plays)
A commercial for "Super Mario RPG" introduced Mario as "the brave hero", Bowser as "the big bad boss", Peach as "the poised princess"...then they're like "And other friends like Mallow and Geno".
I guess we know who really respects a young but fierce cloud that can summon lightning storms or a cool-looking puppet with guns.
