I hope it’s an original story. Not because it won’t be canon otherwise, but because I think Ocarina wouldn’t work in a movie format.

The movie shouldn’t be canon regardless though.

The only way I could see it being canon is if it went into the story of an unexplored hero. Maybe the hero of man or the one from before BOTW.
