@OwlHighway1Revisited that was an opportunity for you to explain or at least to see the error of your ways, not to reaffirm the statement

If pokemon are evil, what is good and pure in this cursed land even

Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes

Princess_Lilly

@TeaCatherine I thought you were talking about pokemon black and pokemon blue separatetly and was like "what is wrong with pokemon blue even"

Also, since I have a very important meeting with my pillow, I wish you all fluffy dreams

Well, I have to wait for another chance from different seller who have Super Paper Mario on sale again. 😑

Correct me if I’m wrong, but couldn’t you order it online?

Someone mentioned Pokémon promoting animal fighting and that reminded me of the existence of Pokémon Black and Blue, seriously why does Peta suck so much?

Ugh, yeah like, I don't agree with animal fighting yet Pokemon is a videogame, and the idea that playing it supposedly makes me want to start up animal fighting was always a stupid idea to me...
Also F**** PETA, they're hyprocrites too

You mean cockfighting isn’t a result of Pokémon being played by kids?

Super Paper Mario USA version is really overpriced on Ebay.
My Wii is USA region, only play original games.
I'm not in hurry to get Super Paper Mario so whenever I get a chance again from my country, I will secure the purchase.

@Professor_Plumber Amazing it is, it’s legit one of marvels best movies to come out this phase! If not one of here best! Honestly some scenes were hard to watch, but my god did it do it so well! It was able to finish story arcs vary well, since it is his last film at marvel and all, and he left them with a lot to work with for another movie. But man, I don’t want another movie At all if it’s not my James, they are just going to mess it up.

@TeaCatherine I have heard some people says this and I just don’t get it, like it’s in the name, Pokémon pocket monsters? Sure they have shown to eat them are the worlds versions of animals, but they aren’t just any normal animals, And it’s shown several times in the games and anime that they have fun too lol. As for black and white I have no idea if they did lol.

Music is like people's appearance.
It has two important things: the voice of the singer and the music background.
Both of them must be complementary each other.
There is music with great voice but terrible music background such as nowadays music.
There was also a music with great music background but with terrible voice like from Big Fun (the trio male singers with high pitched voice to sing).
For me, the voice of the singer is like human body, the music background is like the outfits.
No matter how good is the voice, if paired with terrible music background, it will ruin the whole song.
It is like paired a beautiful looking people with terrible outfits.
I found a lot of nowadays music suddenly become really good to listen when somebody remixed them into 80's style.
Man...
Suddenly the terrible nowadays songs become really good to listen songs, because I like 80's style songs.
Here is one example of 80's remix song I like to listen.

I don't like the original version at all, but I like the 80's remix by exile from YouTube.

Hello all, I'm back from my vacation as of earlier this week. I stepped in my house very early Wednesday morning. I've been playing catch-up ever since after being gone for just over 2 weeks. I did also work the last couple of days. I had a VERY good time, to the point where I didn't want to leave. It already feels like a dream in some ways. Thankfully there are other eyewitnesses, pictures, and journal entries to prove me otherwise. My sleep schedule is still a little messed up, but it's getting there. I think it was easier to adjust to the vacation time zone vs. coming back home.

(Edit: There was some culture shock, some of it I was prepared for. But if anyone reading this lives in continental Europe, can you explain to me why some hotels don't stock washcloths? How do you manage? Part of a towel, scrubbing with your hands?)

As part of my vacation, I logged out of the site. I wouldn't have had time for longer replies anyway. I did somewhat keep track of gaming news though (As well as some of the usual news....Seriously, Elon? What is your affection with the letter X?). Trying to get to replies, but this thread is seriously messed up; for some reason, some of the notifications take me to the wrong post, then I have to fish for it....

@MarioLover92 I'm trying to get better about dropping a game if I'm not enjoying it, but...it's hard sometimes. Especially if I do want to see how the plot turns out. It depends on how bad the gameplay is past that point. I had to drop Metroid Prime: Hunters on the Wii U VC since I just wasn't clicking with the controls. Made it maybe 1/3 through the game. Part of me would love to get a PS5 since there are a few system exclusives I'd love to try, but I don't have the time or desire to invest in one currently...I have more than enough games waiting in the wings. Did you finish Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in my absence? Or at least make more progress?

@Ninfan While I'd love to give you a definite answer, I don't own an Xbox currently and, unfortunately, know very little about recent Gamepass updates. Are you sure you tagged the right user?

@Sunsy I'm assuming grilling isn't allowed due to fire hazard reasons? Eh, no worries. It's pretty easy to fry things on the stove or bake them in the oven too. Crockpot cooking can be pretty efficient too. Independence Day is a pretty good movie. Fireworks on the TV are fine - I'm honestly to a point in my life while I think they're nice, they just don't really thrill me anymore. Plus, I really dislike the noise if I'm very close. From a bit of a distance is fine.

@EaglyPurahfan Took me forever to find your post; the notification dropped me several pages away. I've been on vacation and just logged back in earlier. Thanks for the welcome back! It's been awhile, but the vacation and break were worth it.

I didn't end up finishing TotK, but I made it through the third dungeon/disturbance (Zora's Domain) and am gradually working my way towards the last one (Gerudo Town). I didn't take my Switch on my vacation for several reasons, the most important of which I didn't go to game, but to focus on the trip. I did game a little in transit and in my downtime; I took my Zelda Game & Watch, made quite a dent in the OG Link's Awakening, and tried some of the other games/modes...sometimes in other languages. I've also started the Layton Brothers: Mystery Room Level-5 mobile Layton spinoff. The main series is better, but the murder mysteries are quite fun. I don't often play series entries back to back to avoid burnout, so that's some high praise for the Yakuza games. I don't mind other adult animated shows like The Simpsons or Bob's Burgers, just never got into some others like SP or Family Guy. I did finish the DQB2 demo; the saving grace for me was learning the NPCs could farm and build on their own. Otherwise I'm not sure I would've stuck with it lol.

Duly noted on Coco. During my long vacation flight back - ~10 hours - they did have Turning Red as one of the available movies. I watched it and liked it, nothing award winning though. I can get behind the messages, but some of it was...eh...and I think Encanto handled the generational trauma angle a bit better. I also watched the original Puss In Boots, that on the other hand was decent! But I think The Last Wish was better. Both Deadpool movies are pretty good, but the second slightly edges out for the win IMO. Yes, do start with Batman: The Animated Series in the DCAU! Namely because there is a chronological order. No anime recommendations that I'm sure the others haven't covered. I'd like to ease back into anime like I'm trying to do with manga, but...time. Time. Time.

I think I'll just skip Kirby Star Allies. I already own Forgotten Land on the Switch anyway, I just haven't played it yet. Zelda generally does rely more on gameplay than story, but some of the plots IMO are pretty good too. Sure, some are predictable, but others have had some interesting twists...and some pull that off better than others. I love Twilight Princess, but even I agree the twist where Zant isn't the true villain could've been executed better. A Link Between Worlds had a decent story, nothing amazing, but yeah that reveal was actually pretty good. And Hilda as the pseudo anti-Zelda was memorable for me. A Link to the Past is worth playing for many reasons, it has aged well despite me liking some other Zelda titles that came after better. Xenoblade Chronicles X deserves a larger audience, hopefully some of Monolith's hiring points to a port job....

Not sure how I'd feel about a Xenoblade Warriors title, but I said the same about the Zelda series...and Age of Calamity was executed pretty well. I haven't played the FE ones. Sena is indeed a victim of XC3's pacing; while I'd argue the game has overall better pacing compared to previous entries, it's still one of Monolith's flaws IMO. Lanz's Ascension Quest was decent, not on the tier of some of the other group members, but I did like it...even if the old frenemies came out of left field. I assumed Zeon was one of those kids too. The sad thing with Shania - and, by a loose extension, N/past Noah - is that circumstances drove what were otherwise good, albeit flawed people (and all people have their flaws) down some dark roads. The first death is indeed very dark, probably the darkest first party title death on Switch. The second...is heartwrenching.

I don't normally buy games day one, but I'm seriously considering picking up Super Mario Bros. Wonder at least during the launch weekend. It's the freshest 2D title we've had in many years. I like all the classic Mario titles barring the true SMB2 since it's so hard, but I know it has its fans and can appreciate what it brought to the franchise. I much prefer the Doki Doki Panic reskin. XD Super Mario World is my favorite of the classic games, though SMB3 is a somewhat close second. I think Yoshi's Island was sort of intended as a Mario game but ultimately became a spinoff. I'm admittedly not fond of it due to its pacing and Baby Mario's crying. Still can't wait for the new Dragon Quest Monsters title! I still enjoy Pokemon, but the games release so frequently now that I'm a little behind the curve. I haven't even got to Pokemon Legends: Arceus quite yet.

Nope.
We have Tokopedia, BukaLapak, Shopee, etc as our local online shopping website in Indonesia, but I trust more from Tokopedia.
Almost everyday I browse from Tokopedia about the games I'm looking for, sometimes I check from the seller names to see what games they have currently and what new things added on sale.

@Ninfan NP. I went to Germany, but I also spent roughly a day in Salzburg, Austria.

@Professor_Plumber Thanks! It was an amazing time. Glad I went.

@Tyranexx Welcome back! Glad you had an awesome time overall... I can't blame you for wanting to stay longer, lol. Seems like things go quite a bit differently from what we're used to in the states, huh?

Oh man, thank you so much for reminding me about Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I literally forgot about it until you told me. But I did make a bit of progress in Tears of the Kingdom while you were away, so that's something. I just went back to XC2, and finally got past the part I was stuck at. (Spoilers for XC2) I'm at the World Tree now, and I gotta fight Jin before seeing... Malos, I think? Jin is really, really tough, and has a ton of HP. I think he's level 66, and I'm probably a bit underleveled, unfortunately. I did manage to break a couple elemental spheres in one of my attempts though. Can't believe I forgot about that game... my memory's not very good at times.

I will say that Horizon Zero Dawn looks pretty interesting, but I haven't tried it yet. Hopefully I'll like it, and I know that game's on Steam. Yeah same here, I have so many other games in my collection to play, lol. Plus stuff I'm looking forward to playing. Besides Super Mario Bros. Wonder, I'd love to get my hands on Disney Illusion Island pretty soon. Nintendo Life themselves gave it a glowing review so I'm more excited to try it out.
