When I reach my 60s in a few more decades, the kids will know that I took a bus to school rather than walk for miles in the snow. Honestly, I don't know if that's actually true of my grandparents, I never asked them before they kicked it.

Speak for yourself. My future kids and grandkids will be told I walked uphill both ways, barefoot, in the snow, while it was 180 degrees outside.
