To be fair, the Office was not so much stretched, it was more “built upon”.

From what I hear, basically only the first episode (or so) is really based on the original show. From there it became its own thing and kept going.

Also I think one of those would be “Parks and Recreation”, right?

@Snatcher No, knowing the anime industry, they're gonna make it weirder (On purpose and for comedic effect). Like, in anime sometimes a character will jokingly become overdetailed or underdetailed, and I can't not think of an over moe-fied Rick that the animator drew for a few seconds as a joke. So no, I have no doubt in my mind the anime will be weirder just because of the dumb things they can and probably will do with the power of Japanese animators.

@EllaTheQueen6 I’m not even lying when I say that, and it’s not even to weirdest thing in the show. I’m honestly not even trying to sell you on it, I haven’t really watched it myself and I have seen lots of clips, if your able to get past that kind of weirdness, it’s really funny.

That’s also why I said I think the anime might tone that down as it’s a separate dimension with a different tone, at least that’s what I got from the short they did with anime Rick and morty.
