I think it's more likely that the mother in question is just clueless about things like fan bases and popular games, and simply sees the cute round bouncy animal game as a thing for kids. As most non-gaming adults would.

@Sunsy Nice, I still have my Kirby 64 copy after all those years. That's cool, I remember Pac-Man World 2, that was a good game. Wonder if they'll do a remake of that game?

Yeah, I did see that Nintendo's still doing maintenance on Splatoon 1's servers... I actually played some matches in that game sometime before they started the maintenance, and it was fun. It's crazy that this hacking issue came to be... thankfully, my Wii U's ok.

Nice, that's cool. Sega really made sure to have that game appear everywhere! Oddly enough, though, it's not on NSO+EP's Sega Genesis catalog - the only mainline Sonic game on there is Sonic 2. Ah yeah, I love Mega Collection as well. I think I got it sometime around its original release date back in the day. It was cool to finally have access to Sonic 1 and 2, and I got to play the rest of its games for the first time. Even though Sonic CD wasn't on Mega Collection, it was cool to at least see the opening and ending cutscenes - they reminded me of Sonic OVA, which I saw before learning that Sonic CD was a thing. I'll likely get Sonic Origins Plus at some point as well.

Nice. I should give Asphalt another go one of these days. I kinda forgot Cruis'n Blast was a thing... been wanting to give it a shot since I liked the Cruis'n games on the N64 many years back.

I don’t do this for everything but just some stuff, some of my interest I just prefer not to be open about because I might get a reaction like this, I don’t really say what my favorite types of music are because I would probably just get called a weeb even though said music just interest me more. You seemed to have taken it well but I would honestly start feeling bad for liking the series after that lol. I definitely don’t think she was trying to put you down for liking it either, but from just reading it, it sounded a little bit condescending, so I can see why people would think as such.

@Professor_Plumber believe me, if I could go back to 00s, I wouldn't hesitate. If I could only go to the summer of 2007, the one when I left everything bad behind, and start things anew after the treatment I had received earlier.

@Eel @Link-Hero @EllaTheQueen6 yeah that treatment is pretty inconsiderate. I heard it many times. "<Product xyz>? How old are you"? I always say something like "let me count on my fingers" or "old enough for it" and it works like a charm.

But in this case, I believe it wasnt malicious or anything.

Also I havent crossed any animals in months, my island must be in shambles by now

Whenever I found my villagers in ACNH thinking about moving out, I will smack their head with Bug Net from behind so they will forget thinking about moving out.
The reason I like ACNH more than ACNL.
I can keep villagers forever no matter how long I get hiatus from the game.

Definitely get where you’re coming from, but it added to the realism of the game when a villager would randomly move out and there was nothing you could do. This is just one issue I have with NH though. Maybe in the next game there will be an option to make villagers closer to the old games or the newer games, depending on your preferences.

Whoever said adult peoples are not allowed to play kids games, those peoples are really sad.
If someone attacking me for liking kids games, I will not hesitate to dismiss them and say "I like to play this game and so what ?
If you don't like it then just go away. Shoo !"

@Link-Hero @Eel Yeah, she wasn't tryna be malicious, she just doesn't really understand how fanbases work and how even the most childish of games can attract a large adult fanbase. I don't think she's played a video game in her entire life, so she just saw some cute looking animals on my screen with the YouTube video having Animal Crossing in the title and thought it was a cute little kids game.

@blindsquarelp I tend to go away from AC for long times and I wouldnt feel ok if there was a whlle new set of villagers when I come back so NH is good for me. I also have that grey guy everyone wanted for some reason so I wouldnt want him to go away.
