@AnVold That's the problem. I'm from Michigan. I like cold weather. So, when the sun is just staring right at me I die. To make it worse, because I don't burn and instead tan, I become even warmer than everyone else, so Summer is pure suffering for me. I haven't been able to go swimming once this Summer because we currently ain't got access to our car and although the beach is close (I live near Lake Michigan) it's still not close enough for my tiny little legs. Though I feel even worse for my best friend, he gets to live in the desert. I can't imagine living in Egypt, I just don't know how he does it, like, I would just die if I stepped foot in Egypt in the Summer.

Ok what are things yiu can try in Egypt but not in US, I wonder. As for visiting your family etc it really gets much easier when you get a job, financial stability is great.

@Princess_Lilly Hey, being from Russia doesn't make a person bad. I will not stand racism, Lilly. Racism is very bad, and I won't tolerate it.
Accoridng to Seef, there's a bunch of stuff there that doesn't have red#40 despite having it in the US and other countries. Also, yeah, once I'm old enough to get a job and a car, I will definitely be visiting my brothers and sisters. I have a bunch of nieces and one nephew from my sister, 2 nephews from my brother Loupe, and one adorable little niece from my brother CJ. Though, I guess by the itme I'm able to see her she won't be so little, huh? She'll be around 10 by the time I'll be old enough to go to Minnesota alone I think. Oh well, no matter how old she is, she'll always be my adorable little niece.

Yo, good morning.
What is going on here ?
Does somebody feel upset ?

Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

@EllaTheQueen6 I'm from Tula Oblast. it also not a warm place, but I like warm weather. I also like swimming, but I don't like pools and chlorinated water, so lakes and seas is only option for me. Lake Michigan is huge like a sea! Is it warm enough for swimming? What about public transport? Buses? Can you go there on it?
Why you don't like tan? It's looks beautiful and help you to get Vitamine D.
My parents was in Egypt and they said, that you can be outside only in pool, shadow or sea. If you just stay under the sun, you'ill get a heatstroke very quickly. I also remember my first trip to Turkey in last year. I just left the airport and felt the heat and dry air like it was a very hot day. But I felt it during a middle of night. But I got used to their weather in two days and it was a great trip for me

@AnVold There aren't any buses around here or anything like that. If I get desperate, I'll go run under the sprinkler. It's not that I don't like the tan, it's that it makes me even warmer than the people who simply get burnt. And yeah, Egypt is pretty hot in the Summer accoridng to my best friend. But, the Egyptians somehow survive. Seef says he's going to Turkey soon, which surprised me because it's just the most random country for him to go to. Right now, he's in Saudi Arabia though, but he says that it's even hotter there than it is in Egypt.
How is he not dead yet.
I love swimming. I'm not very good at it, so I just buy a doughnut floatie and chill in it. I don't mind local pools, but I don't have any in my area, so my only option is Lake Michigan. And yeah, Lake Michigan is huge, and warm enough for swimming. In my area, there's a ferry that'll take you to Wisconsin, which is across the lake.

@EllaTheQueen6 that was absolutely not the issue there, and I just explained it super briefly because Owl asked me to. which is also why we need whisper option on the forum, sometimes we need to explain some things discretely

I thought it was about some traditional dishes and alcohol, lol.

Dang you got big family. That's gonna be a lot of cruising around, eh? Gotta make sure you learn how to drive carefully. Also dont worry I think kids dont remember much from before they were 10 or so so its not like they will forget their favorite aunt

@Princess_Lilly never tried to insult you. You just can't accept the fact that a person may have a different opinion on international politics. That's all.

@Princess_Lilly Nah, my adorable little niece has never met me. I've only met my two nephews from Loupe. Also, if it's not the issue you shouldn't have brought it up. I've dealt with racism, it does not feel good at all. It makes you feel ashamed for who you are.
And yeah, my family from my fathers side is huge. I've met CJ and Loupe, but I have yet to met Migueal (I dunno if I spelt that right) and Ivy. I wanna meet all my nieces and nephews at some point, but especially my precious little red haired niece.
Oh, I guess I also have my nephew in law, I keep forgetting about him. His name is Angel, and he's a year older than me. I've met him about 6 and a half months ago. He's quiet, got curly brown hair, and seems pretty chill. But yeah, I ain't dying till I meet all my precious nieces and nephews. Actually, maybe when she's old enough, CJ could maybe bring his daughter to Michigan, cause he knows I wanna meet her. I wonder if the nephew I met when I was 8 still remembers me. He was about 3-5 at the time, so I doubt it, but it'd be cool if he did.

@EllaTheQueen6 so you can go here only on car? That's bad. I like walking and really don't like a cars.
I think that Egyptians are used to it and know how to survive in that climate. And they all have air conditioners.
That's sound great! I think it's a beautiful place for swimming and relaxing. I like to discover a new places and swim in new lakes or seas. Maybe in next week I'll swim in Baltic Sea. I just hope that water will be not too cold. It's +19... +20 °C for now.

@AnVold I mean, yeah, Egypt may be a third world country, but they still got air conditioners
I swear everyone who meets Seef is surprised to learn he's in Egypt, I was a little surprised when I first saw his Egypt flag when we were playing osu together, but I didn't think it was impossible or anything.
Yeah, it's nice for relaxing and swimming. Just watch out for the undertoe. Also, just curious, but since Lilly was sorta kinda being racist to you for being Russian, does this always happen to you? Like, do a lot of people actually care that you're Russian? I think that it don't matter where you're from, you're still a person, like, you didn't start the war, why should you be blamed? Seef often gets a lot of terrorist jokes because of his heavy Arab accent, which I find pretty dang sad. I just find racism all together just sad.

@EllaTheQueen6 it's not a luxury for them, but a means of survival.
I don't think that it's so unusual, because in my country there is many students from Egypt, China, Syria, Cuba, South Africa and other african countries.
No, it's never happen with me before. Is she watching TV too much? Turks and Germans were always welcome me and I had a very interesting conversation about war with Irish guy, who own his pub in Turkey. He asked my opinion and during conversation he understand me. Nobody cares about it, especially in Turkey. It was a first experience for me here on NL.
You are right. It'll be crazy if we start to blame each other for our government's actions.
I think that it's not bad if it's just a joke and he is not insulted by that. But if it's not a joke, then it's a serious problem. I just remembered a prank from YouTube with Arab and his bag.

EllaTheQueen6

@AnVold Yeah, if it's a joke from a close friend than I'd say it's alright, but just random people were joking about his Arab accent and he didn't like it. Seef is even a bit self concious about the accent, and I think that's both because of the terrorism jokes and the fact he's not the most understandable person in the world. Like, once you get used to it, you can understand him just fine, but it is a little bit hard to understand him when you first meet him cause of the very heavy accent. And yeah, racism is just bad. I've only had it happen to me a couple times, which would be my grandpa just straight up complaining about the Mexicans while little 9 year old me was in front of him. I wanted to cry so, so bad. I haven't seen him since, and one other instance I forgot. Racism does not feel good at all, and just because you're Russian doesn't mean people should hate you. You didn't start the war, so why should you get the hate? And the Egypt thing was more people are surprised to see an Egyptian lurking around on the internet, cause people think that they live in tents or something. I have online friends everywhere, Peru
the UK, Canada, Malaysia, Japan, Egypt, Mexico (Not friends anymore but I'm counting it), Germany, Russia if I count you, and many more places. At this point, I'm not surprised when I come across a person on the internet from some random 3rd world country I never heard of, because pretty much everyone has internet now. Sure, when I saw Seef was from Egypt I was like "Huh, ok, that's certainly interesting" but I wasn't really, like, YouTube thumbnail levels of surprised. Though, first the first few months I knew him, in my head I always pronounced his name wrong. I don't anymore, and around 5 months in our friendship we got in a voice call for the first time and literally the first words he heard me say were "It's pronounced safe right?" because it is pronounced like safe, and I even had to repeat myself cause I was nervous and shy and had bad social anxiety so he could barely hear me, let alone understand me. But yeah, wouldn't be surprised if I met someone from Antartica at this point.

@Sunsy I wanna get a picture of my copy of the Super Mario movie when I get it. Hopefully you'll get those two movies soon.
Yeah I used to go to Blockbuster/Hollywood Video a lot, and there was a mom and pop video store that we'd go to as well. We'd rent Nintendo 64 and GameCube games there. In that mom and pop store I just mentioned, there was a whole section dedicated to games, which I was (and still is) more into than movies. At least the live-action stuff, I do still like animated movies.

Speaking of Marathon and Doom, I should head back to the classic Doom series sometime. I did finish the first one at least, that was a good game for sure. The closest thing I was playing recently was Splatoon 3 since the splatfest happened last weekend. Too bad my team (strawberry) lost miserably, though... that was the second time in a row I picked a team that ended up in last place. I did manage to bring home a 100x win, at least! I'm especially thankful for that because 100x and 333x battles are absurdly rare in that game.

THQ published the Sonic Advance games here in the US, I remember it was kinda odd because, you know, Sonic is Sega's mascot, lol. I do remember thinking of having Sega Smash Pack for the GBA, just didn't want it in the end. Only saw a video of its Sonic Spinball gameplay on YouTube recently. I never got Sonic 1 for the GBA either, I remember hearing it wasn't very good. The closest thing I have is Sega 3D Classics Collection for the 3DS. Fun fact, that was the last physical 3DS game that I got.

Yeah, I did some research on those Disney movies since they originally came out way before my time, lol. Speaking of Disney, I wanna see Mary Poppins next. Though, I think we'll need to split it into two sessions because its running time is over two hours.

Me too! Honestly, I'm more excited for Peach's game than the Super Mario RPG remake. Yeah wave 5 is pretty solid overall, been playing those courses online after the splatfest ended. We should play Mario Kart online again sometime.

I hope so too. Honestly, I'm looking forward to when Ruby Gillman comes to DVD, I want to watch it again, but I'm not going to pay $20 for the digital one since the Blu-Ray/DVD pack comes with digital anyway.

Wow, that reminds me, when I was a lot younger, there was a few rental places we went to that weren't as big as Hollywood or Blockbuster. I use to rent Super NES games from one of them too, that's how long ago, even a few N64 games when the N64 was current, then they closed for good. We actually got Star Wars Racer from them because of it IIRC.

If you haven't played Doom 2 yet, definitely give it a go. Doom 2 was just more Doom, with some new monsters and the super shotgun. It was a good upgrade. Wow, I don't have Splatoon 3 yet, but I would be on team Vanilla for sure. I always go for vanilla ice cream. Hopefully you'll do better next splatfest. Now I wonder if people still play Splatoon 2, maybe it gives me an excuse to play it again and see, lol.

Yeah, Sega and THQ had a deal to co-publish Sega's GBA games. Part of that deal was also allowed THQ to make their own GBA games using Sega's properties, hence why we got stuff like Crazy Taxi: Catch A Ride and Sega Smash Pack. Come to think about it, Sonic Genesis, Charlotte's Web (found this in 2016, had to pick it up for the novelty of finding a new GBA game alone), Chu Chu Rocket, and Sonic Pinball Party are the only SEGA published GBA games I have.

Alrighty, yeah, the Spinball port played better than Sonic 1, I remember reading somewhere it was ported from Genesis source code found in a Sega employee's garage. Funnily enough I was playing the Sonic 1 GBA port last night. I had on a Sonic chill stream, wearing my Sonic shirt, and just played it since my GBA was nearby and it was in it. I have a thing where I keep a port of Sonic 1 in all my old systems for convenience, lol. Sonic Mega Collection is sitting in my GameCube right now, lol.

Oh cool, I remember picking up Sega 3D Classics Collection day one. I still remember the day I went to GameStop to pick it up, the employee saw my Sonic shirt and was like "I know why you're here." Good times.

Cool, it's been awhile since I've seen Mary Poppins. Last Disney movie I watched was Luca again.

I'm just excited we're getting a new Peach game. Now I feel like digging up my old copy of Super Princess Peach to play it. I still need to play them, just Asphalt had me hooked the last few times I played my Switch, and PC. I play it on both.

@Sunsy Not sure if I'll get to that movie, but we'll see. As for my vacation: Thanks! I leave in a couple of days.

As for the 4th of July, I did end up meeting my family for supper that evening. We also watched some fireworks. Normally we fit in a movie too somewhere, but schedules didn't align unfortunately. I did watch a movie with some of my family last weekend, The Sound of Freedom.

You're welcome.

Sounds nice. For me, all I did was cook hamburgers and hot dogs, on the stove, grilling isn't allowed where I live. I miss cooking BBQ outdoors. Mom and I watched Independence Day and then when the livestream on Peacock was up, we put on fireworks. We don't get to go see them in person anymore. It was still a nice time.
