@Sunsy Hey, no problem at all. I haven't been on the forums much either. I've had QUITE a lot going on IRL, ranging from medical issues with friends to things breaking...some of them costing more than I'd like. But I'm still physically healthy...for the most part.
I've actually never used a N64 controller so can't really speak regarding it. Gonna have to take your word on it. I tried all the different control schemes for Super Mario 64 DS and finally settled on the D-pad one, but that was only on a regular DS unit. I do wonder if I would've had a better experience on the 3DS due to the circle pad.
Can't say I've heard of Discovery Zone...at least I don't think so. The airplane experience was on the return trip of my first round trip; we went out to visit some family friends in Utah. I didn't understand how to use those notches used to lock the trays in, and it kept falling when I tried to put it back (snack and drink cart had come through earlier). The "mean lady" as I still mentally call her was angry because she thought I was kicking her seat. I honestly answered I wasn't. After a second complaint, my mom switched seats with me so she'd stop fussing about me. I was roughly 8 at the time.
I really do like that Sound of Silence cover from Trolls World Tour, though I gotta say I do still prefer the cover by Disturbed the best. I do need to watch that movie sometime for the songs alone. I really enjoyed both Sing and Sing 2 for similar reasons. I do hope you and your friend can make those July showings of Trolls World Tour!
@MarioLover92 So I've seen; you've actually invested more time than I have into TotK, though IRL has made it very hard for me to do so sometimes lately. I'm in no hurry though; I'm in it for the journey, and it'll be awhile before I reach the destination anyway. The only side game I have going is WarioWare: Get It Together! when I don't think I have quite enough time to get engrossed in TotK's world. I don't believe I've played Super Mario Advance, though I've played the original Super Mario Bros. 2 it's modeled from. Quite a collection of games to be nostalgic for! I do suggest giving Majora's Mask another try, though I'd recommend a guide for a few of the extras the first time through. A couple of the quest lines get elaborate.
I probably would like Merry Mountain; Christmas is perhaps my favorite holiday, though Halloween is a close second lol. Racing online in MK8D was fun, though I admit it's been awhile since I've played the game. I'd forgotten Nintendo announced a Wave 5 actually. What little of my free time that isn't already swallowed up by everything else has went to the two games I have going + a bit of reading.
On my trip: Thanks! There's going to be an online group meeting this weekend with some "need to know" info as well as general travel tips. Should be informative even if my parents will be gate crashing my house for awhile for it since my internet is way more functional.

Also before I too reply, I have indeed finished the game already, and I have killed all the Valkyrie’s, the Valkyrie’s were faster since I killed two a day. And I didn’t do a single side quest wile playing the game, ok one but I was enjoying the story to much, in the words of kratos “We do not need this distractions right now Boy”
Alpharad is one of those YouTubers I always come back to once and a wile, and his content is just, enjoyable!
I had to sacrifice xenoblade time for god of war! But I think I’m coming down with “Don’t want to finish a video game” disease, I think that’s why I did god of war, and it was shorter, but from what I hear the sequel seems to be on the longer side, also I wasn’t kidding about xenoblade I don’t want to finish it ): but on the bright side, I least I have you fire emblem, that game is taking be a wile lol.
That is exactly what god of war is, I swear arteus Has some of the best development ever, he amount of growth he had is astounding! And I felt so bad for baldur, he seemed to be one of the nicer gods and she took everything away from him and the head was just, perfect, I enjoyed his stories!

Everything you said, people who never played the games fail to understand, I was a Reddit, I think it was called men draws woman, I would go on there if your uncomfortable with nsfw, because that’s seems to be all that they have on there lol, but even the people on there, that said the character designes made them uncomfortable, they couldn’t deny that the writing was just that good, xenoblade s writing is just in a league of its own, probably because they takes risk, and go to places most games like it wouldn’t go, I mean zeck eluding to s** slaves in freaking dark, Nias past, was dark, it was all dark, and hey were afraid to go there to convey the story they wanted to convey, the games are long, there’s all these side bits, that not some people might not even hear, but it’s all there, and it’s there for the sake of learning more about the characters, and learning more about the world, and that’s what makes xenoblade writing so amazing, they had a god, a god that was broken, he 2as talked up all game, but he was broken, mythra s previous driver? Was also talked up a lot, a whole nation lied about it just because he was such a respected person, only to learn, he was a normal man, who wasn’t sure how to control the power of someone like mythra, heck! They even go into a fighting style, that wasn’t even present till
Lora made it up, and she said it’s because they had to make do, but the reason why the style worked, was because she didn’t see herself different from him, he was a blade sure, but why is that enough for him to be treated lesser.
All this to say, that as much as people love to act like all this game is, is a wifu collector, it’s not, it’s much deeper, and it has amazing characters, and an amazing story, and an amazing world, and I find it such a shame that it always gets that kind of slander, for no reason for the cover, not the book.

The side blades I agree can get a bit much but why do people also act like that makes the bulk of the game? My favorite blade, I know who it his but I haven’t unlocked her yet, she that one in tantal, I think she can only be unlocked by offering 100% or so items, I really want her, and I’m gonna get her, I gonna get all of the blades! The blade you mention, is it a dlc one?

Well I’m glade xenoblade 3 was able to tell people wrong, just because an artist has a specific history, doesn’t mean they now don’t know how to draw characters lol.

I’m just on normal. The Valkyrie queen was annoying enough on basic, I couldn’t images the harder difficulty, i think that’s a hell I’m not willing to put myself through, if you did it on normal after going GMGOW, I think you should be able to do it.

@EaglyPurahfan Seems that someone went through a name change again. I did also see your note regarding posting breaks in the Goodbye/Vacation thread. Never feel obligated to respond to me in an ASAP manner; I rarely reply in the same day depending on what I have going on. Sometimes several days. We're also to the point where we're writing out titanic replies to each other, so if you'd like we can start trimming them down. I don't mind either way.
In TotK I haven't done too much plot-wise yet; I'm too busy exploring, completing Shrines, and trying to kit out Link. Though I might make my way towards the Eldin region after I finish exploring the current region I'm in...or take another detour to another region. I do quite enjoy Turtures! Such a shame he went out that way, albeit in style. I've still successfully dodged pretty much all Future Redeemed spoilers...can't say the same for TotK, though thankfully those have been few. I would like to get to FR after I finish TotK however. Moana is probably one of my favorite modern Disney films. Dwayne Johnson made a great Maui, and I thought his chemistry with other characters really worked well. Especially his "dynamic" with Tamatoa lol. I'll have to take your word on Guardians 3; haven't seen it yet since I need to...er...watch the previous two movies at least. I think the MCU was pretty strong from what I did see of it/have heard/read about until after Avengers Endgame, then it dwindled. Still gonna go see Deadpool 3 though. Whereas I think the DCEU may finally be coming into its own. Though the DCAU (DC Animated Universe) that started in the early 90s is by far my favorite hero universe interpretation period. I think the vacation will go fine, in fact there's an online meeting regarding it tomorrow that I'm attending. Sounds like you get along with your sister on vacations about as well as I used to get along with my own sister. Love her to death but it's for the best we're no longer under the same roof.
I do think any future multiplayer-centric Zeldas would benefit from the approach Nintendo has been taking with Kirby spinoffs...Namely that they're digital only for the most part. As for pirating/emulation....I can roll with it for older games, especially if they're hard or borderline impossible to get at a reasonable price. GCN and back would pretty much fit the bill for me. More modern than that, and I become very uncomfortable. I could easily emulate - I have the know-how - I just barely have the time for the legit platforms games I do own lol.
I do agree that Xenoblade wins in the storytelling department. The lore in some cases too...depending on the game. Overall I think I slightly prefer the Zelda series's gameplay since the barrier of entry is less, though XC3 is by far the most accessible of the bunch IMO. Music...highly depends on the game. And while I like the general seriousness and maturity in the Xenoblade titles - Rex in XC2 notwithstanding - the whimsy in some Zelda titles is welcome too. Plus I quite like solving puzzles and running through dungeons in Action/Adventure games. Not to mention due to the sheer scale of any XC title vs. most Zelda titles (ignoring BotW and TotK), I feel like I accomplish more in a gaming session with the latter series. Overall I do agree regarding Sena's introduction, though one doesn't get to "barely succeeding" without a road that gives them little drive before that point. Still would've been cool to see her previous experiences. Shania's story - and death - were indeed a major tragedy. Sadly her good-natured father died and left her with a mother who cared way more about pride, success, and appearances than the wants and needs of her one living daughter. Ghondor...ill-equipped to help is an understatement, though she did try in her own way. While I appreciate her nuanced character, in real life she probably would've rubbed me the wrong way. I'm still a little surprised Monolith got away with that scene, though the ultimate action technically happened offscreen, but it left little room to guess what happened. I would PAY for DLC where Monica expressly whales on Shania's mother. =3

4. What the hell is a marbled Gohma and why did the dev team add the ugly spider boss back? In all fairness from the one image I’ve seen of Gohma, it’s literally just a rock monster now, very few spider traits, thank god. Hey, can someone here who has played TOTK tell me if Gohma is the only spider enemy in TOTK? I need to know so I don’t get scared out of my skin when I buy the game at some point
