(Tagging @Eagly as this is why the PC build is postponed)
Gonna try to keep this somewhat brief, but I think I have enough set in stone now for me to say (er, type) regarding something I've been working towards. This summer, I'm traveling abroad for the first time! (Officially, not counting a short one-day stint in The Bahamas when I was roughly eight.) I'll be visiting various parts of Germany - one of my bucket list countries - on a custom group tour for roughly two weeks, with a one-day stint in Salzburg, Austria to see some of The Sound of Music sights. It's taken a bit for things to come together between needing a passport, payments, emailing, etc. There's still a lot of stuff to do. It's a lot of time off work, but I do have enough vacation and personal time built up to swing it. This trip was actually delayed; if it had proceeded as originally scheduled back in 2020 (and we ALL know what happened to postpone it), I wouldn't have been able to go at all.
Sooo...Yeah. I'm various levels of excited and anxious. I'm a planner to a fault. I prefer to travel with necessities and not too many extras. Not sure if I'll take much in the way of electronics besides my phone. I'm debating between one of my 3/DS units (Switch is a bit too bulky for my liking) or if I'll just go "off the grid" electronically besides my surgically attached phone. ( ) I don't plan on using the forums at all while I'm gone - basically the bottom half of July - and will probably only just check the site for news and do very little commenting on articles either.

My first time travel abroad to Singapore back in June 1997 when I was 13 years old.
My Dad registered me in Home Stay program in Singapore for 13 days. from travel agency.
It took two flight from Surabaya to Jakarta first then went to Singapore by Thai Airlines.
I was really quiet in Thai Airlines since I saw Thai words everywhere and I couldn't even understand Thai words and I was afraid to ask something.
The Home Stay vacation took Pasir Ris place (East area of Singapore) after arrived from Changi airport. There are other kids from different places also joined in Home Stay program and I got some roomates.
We had English lesson in the morning then followed by visiting different places of Singapore after English class for 13 days.
I was so nervous during English lesson since I was pretty stubborn in my teen age and I was pretty horrible in English lesson during that time. And meeting with English native speaker for the first time, I felt really nervous to talk in English language.
There were some funny moments I remembered during Home Stay program such as purchased a pair of sandals from a shop in Pasir Ris resort when the shop was almost closed and I quickly paid with $50 when the sandals only cost around $2 / $3 and I almost left the changes. Also, I remembered there were several kids from my group like to play Wannabe - Spice Girls from Juke box inside the restaurant in Pasir Ris resort and I was thinking it was so funny to listen Wannabe all the time.
There was an Arcade Game in Pasir Ris Resort and I remembered playing X-Men vs Street Fighter Arcade with every character command list on the table. I tried Double Dragons Fighting game and Street Fighter Zero 1 / 2 and I was suck in playing fighting games.
I wonder what it looks like the place if I have a chance to revisit Pasir Ris Resort again after almost three decades.

Good morning.
I have a holiday in 18 May 2023.
Tomorrow on Friday I will return to work at school.
The holiday just only take 1 day.
I'm doing alright. Recovering from spinal fusion in my neck last week. Had my carpal tunnel surgery on both hands last year. Oldest stepdaughter moved to live with her dad across country before the school year. My other two gals just made honor roll the whole year. Wife got me a projector and 100" screen for my birthday, so TotK is great.

I bought a bag of “cosmic crisp” apples because the name seemed funny, but gosh darn it they might just have ruined normal apples for me, they’re so good 😭
