So, I have a hypothetical question... I'm not a very good Pokémon player when it comes to the competitive scene, right? I usually only aim to defeat the champion and/or final boss in the main series because they're all at a set level, so I can raise my team to be much higher than them, whereas in the competitive scene, like online battles, not only are the levels set to 50, but I'm up against smarter people who do more than just "pick a move that's a type advantage over your CPU opponent and hope they go down in one hit".
What I'm getting at is that Pokémon Stadium just got added to the N64 Switch Online, and aside from the Kids Club minigames, I'm thinking of attempting the Gym Leader Castle. As most of you know, the game doesn't have the transfer option so you can only use rentals. I'm thinking, since the game uses save states, could I just pick Pokémon that all know OHKO moves like Horn Drill, save before every turn and simply re-load until the move connects (as they all have a 30% accuracy)? Just cheese the whole thing instead of having to spend hours studying strategies because of my ADHD?
That's awesome, glad Easter was good for you too. Cool, I remember reading the change when browsing the manual on Sonic Gems Collection, but I think the PC release called her Amy, as I had that version of the game first.
Yeah, I usually wait before I pre-order anything because there's no set date. Whether it's games or a movie, I'll wait anywhere from two weeks to a month before pre-ordering it. Just to be sure of the date. Peach was amazing in the movie, it made my shirt choice perfect. I even jokingly called it "The Super Princess Peach Movie" to my friend that day. Good pick for Mario Movie gear. The two Sonic movies were really good. Between Sonic and Mario, we've gotten some great movies so far.
Cool, hope you enjoy Trolls if you ever give it a shot. We have similar tastes to animated movies, I think you'd like it, especially the more heartfelt moments of the movies. I remember seeing A Goofy Movie when we still had Disney Channel. Now that I have Disney+ I should give it a rewatch one of these days.
Hmm I don't remember the PC version's manual. I guess I didn't read it, or it didn't come with one? My PC copy of Sonic CD came with Sonic & Knuckles Collection and Sonic R way back in the day.
Gotcha, sounds like a good plan to preorder stuff. I like your joke name for the Mario movie, lol. That reminds me, have you ever played Super Princess Peach for the DS? I still have it, but I don't think I played much of it... I wanna revisit it one of these days. Oh that's awesome to hear about the Sonic movies. Those should be a fun watch for sure, I remember liking Sonic OVA way back when.
All right awesome. Yep I do like animated movies quite a lot, especially Disney films! I'll be sure to let you know what I think after I watch the Trolls movies. That's cool, we used to have A Goofy Movie on VHS many years ago, though it's been lost for so long, unfortunately. We also had An Extremely Goofy Movie, I think we still have that on VHS somewhere. That'd be cool to give it a rewatch. Oh and I think I saw that you had a Trolls-themed cake for your birthday from one of your posts? That sounds awesome.
@MarioLover92 Thanks! My weekend was good, albeit very busy. Hoping to catch the Mario movie shortly, in fact.
I have tried the original Rainbow Road in Super Mario Kart since that game came as a code with my N3DS XL unit. That course was indeed narrow and frustrating lol. Then again, while I appreciate SMK for what it started, that game is very hard to play from a modern point of view. I don't think I've played any of the Wave 3 and 4 courses. Been awhile since I booted up MK8D.
Wait, you can play Super Mario 3D World with others online? I knew there was local co-op, but I didn't know you could play remotely too.
Ah gotcha, hope you can see that movie soon. Yeah I've had somewhat of a tough time coming back to Super Mario Kart, at least on the later courses. I've played it with another friend of mine on NSO, and they said that they didn't really like SMK that much. I agree, I like SMK for kicking off the Mario Kart series, but yeah, I like most of the newer games a lot more. Gotcha, that's fine. Been enjoying the wave 3 and 4 courses myself.
Yes you can, the online is a brand-new feature they added to the Switch version, though it's with folks on your friend list only, last I knew. We're on each other's friend lists so we could play together once we have the time.
"Give yourself the gift of being joyfully you."
Favorite games: Super Mario 3D World, Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Playing: Super Mario Galaxy 2
Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
