@Sunsy Happy late birthday! Sorry I missed that bit.
@MarioLover92 Thanks! I do hope it's worth it to see Mario & pals since the reviews and feedback seem mixed...though trending towards the positive IMO. It's an Illumination film, probably not movie of the year material but a fun watch I'm sure. I have some Easter stuff ready, but not everything for the day of. My haunt group is doing an Easter egg hunt for the community tomorrow, so that's my Saturday afternoon sorted. I'm skipping out on the haunted house bit since I'd be up very late for that, and I have an early morning Sunday.
It is SO easy for me to fall off of Rainbow Road, though that N64 course is definitely the most difficult version in MK8D IMO. The game seems fairly unforgiving in general if you fall, depending on the course. And I've had an instance or two where I felt something counted as a "fall" when it really shouldn't have. Rainbow Road on MK Wii was one of two tracks I tried at a party once. I had no experience with the series before that point, and it was a brutal one. "Warm-up" indeed....
TBH, my experience with Pikmin 3 on the Wii U was so middling that I'd apparently bricked out Pikmin 4 from my brain; I forgot that one is coming too. I might try it one day...if I can find it cheap. I'd totally be on board with another new Mario title...but I can afford to wait a little while now. Especially since I'm now revisiting Super Mario Galaxy through Super Mario 3D All-Stars as of yesterday evening.
@nomither6
Twilight Princess and Mario Kart Wii are some of the best in their series. Mario Bros Wii was received pretty well, people just lump it and the DS game in as bad since the series was so overused.
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG

@MarioLover92@Zuljaras@Tyranexx Thanks for the birthday wishes. Day was great. Got to see the Mario movie and Trolls trailer (posted my thoughts in the Mario movie thread for those curious, loved the movie). Had cake at my friend's place and got some gifts including some Trolls and Alice's Wonderland Bakery stuff, and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3.
Later going to chat with another friend who saw the Mario movie and play some Mortal Kombat X. Great day overall.
@Sunsy It's amazing what all gets rearranged when moving. I've been in my current place for eight years, and it took me a bit to unearth everything after moving in lol. I wonder if a real life Powerwash Simulator type of setup would have water Pokemon prizes? XD
Indeed, and finding all the stuff that you forgot you had too, or even lost. That would be an awesome idea. XD
Thanks! The only other Game Gear game I got from the eShop was Tails Adventure. I do have Shining Force CD on my Genesis Mini 2, which IIRC, is a remake of the Shining Force Gaiden games on the Game Gear. I have the Master System versions of Sonic 1 and Chaos, but not Sonic 2. Mainly because I remember the Game Gear version of Sonic 2 got difficult very quickly... I never beat the first boss. Kinda wish I got the SMS version because of the higher screen resolution.
That's awesome, I hope you enjoy the Mario movie! I actually saw it yesterday when it came out, and without spoiling anything, I really liked it. Before the movie started, I did see a trailer for that Trolls movie and I thought of you. Happy early birthday, by the way! I like your new profile pic. Looks like you're doing the same thing I did when it was my birthday, with my profile pic being Mario celebrating at Peach's Birthday Cake.
That's cool, no judgment there. I do remember liking that game, even though the controls were a bit complex. Perhaps we could play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online this weekend since the Mario movie came out recently!
Ohhh, gotcha. That's cool you liked that Chip 'n Dale movie, so that combines CG animation and live-action, I think? I think you're right on Talespin being part of the Disney Afternoon. Have you ever seen Gargoyles? That's another one I remember seeing on the Disney Channel back in the day. It has quite a darker style compared to most other things that Disney has made.
All right great! Take your time and do let me know what you think of my Animal Crossing pictures.
Edit: Just wanted to add that we could play Super Mario 3D World together, as well. I don't think we've played that online yet!
Tails Adventure is a great one, and an underrated game too. I remember buying it back when I played Game Gear because I liked Tails a lot. It's different than a Sonic game, but it's suppose to be. It's Tails solo adventure taking place before he met Sonic, or in the US manual, Sonic and Tails go there separate ways for a vacation... yeah remember when games had different stories in the US manuals? Sonic 2 Game Gear, I never knew you had to avoid the metal balls and let it hit the enemy. Especially annoying since games trained you to jump on the enemy. Always did the level select cheat to play the other levels in that one.
Glad you liked it, it really was a good movie. It just made me like Peach a lot more. Awesome, I love you got to see it, now you know what the Trolls universe looks like, and see Poppy somewhere other than my profile pic, lol. Thanks, yeah I wanted to do that. I think I'll keep it until next week as my birthday is over after tonight.
If I'm free, sounds like a good idea, I was playing Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros 2 as Peach in anticipation for the movie today. Tonight, a friend and I are going to enjoy some Mortal Kombat X.
It does. Again, best way I can describe it, it's like a modern day Who Framed Rodger Rabbit. I think I've seen Gargoyles when I was younger a few times. I remember it wasn't my cup of tea given I was into cartoons that looked cuter (like I still am today). I do remember watching Chip N Dale and Tailspin. Funnily enough, I've only seen Ducktales here and there.
Will do when I can get around to it.
That sounds like a great idea too.
@Anti-Matter Just saw it today. At least in the US, movies usually last from a few weeks to maybe 1-2 months in a theater. Though sometimes kids/family friendly movies do come back for special events smaller theaters do after its initial run (example, the showing of Trolls World Tour I went to was a summer event a local theater did, and they showed other older kids/family movies like Shrek and Sing).
@Sunsy
I don't think my local cinema inside mall will play older movies once they have ever aired.
Usually every 1 month the previous movies will be replaced by the upcoming movies.
About Mario movie, i'm pretty sure there will be a sequel in the future after I saw the interesting thing at the end of scene.
SEGA will release Sonic 3 movie in year 2024 so I think Nintendo will do the same thing.
Too bad, I missed Sonic 2 movie, only can watch from DVD or Blu Ray disc for full movie in disc.
My reactions between Sonic 1 movie and Mario movie were different.
I was pretty chill and didn't react as much as Mario movie. From Mario movie I laughed quite a lot for the licensed songs that played during the movie (Songs from Bonnie Tyler and A-Ha) since I like both of those songs.
Also, I recognized quite a lot Easter eggs from Mario movie and put some smiles on my face.
I was surprised to see how brutal was Bowser when I saw Mario get bruised after Bowser attacked him. I have never expected something like that but it was a good choice to saturate Mario storyline that feel dry from the games version. And I really wish Nintendo will make new 3D Mario games and Mario Kart games based on the movie. It was pretty brave choice to be different than typical Mario games
@TheBigBlue Tell me about it! I am always having to monitor my back pain due to having a sit down job. I use a Chirp wheel like in the image below to manage my spine alignment.
