Got to see the Mario movie at my theater yesterday, and without spoiling anything, I really liked it. It was the first showing and I even got to wear my Club Nintendo Mario hat to it! I also finished Metroid Fusion on NSO. Kind of got into a Metroid mood as a result, might be a good time to hop back into Metroid Prime Trilogy.
I think I'll start quoting folks who've mentioned me, just to make things easier while I make my post.
@MarioLover92 I've never quite got the hang of drifting in MK8D, though I'm definitely better at it than I used to be. Part of my problem is I don't have some of the courses memorized, so I'm not up to par on some of the shortcuts. I enjoy it most of the time, but I usually quit if I start getting frustrated as that isn't beneficial to anyone.
Link's Crossbow Training on Switch might indeed be a stretch, but stranger things have happened lol. I'm admittedly unfamiliar with any Super Scope titles, so I'll take your word for it.
Ohhh, gotcha. Yeah that's another thing with pretty much any Mario Kart game, you'll want to have prior experience with a lot of these courses so you'll know them inside out and see where the shortcuts are and everything. Some shortcuts though, I have a hard time with, like around the middle of Ice Ice Outpost, and in the wavy part of Ribbon Road. Yep you're right, stranger things have happened... wonder what's in store for the Switch this year?
Nice pick up! Yeah, it was more of being in the right place at the right time. I just wanted to check their Twitter to see if they had any thoughts on the eShop shutting down, I have a few of their games, and surely enough they had 128 codes and I redeemed one of them.
My friend and I already have tickets for Friday, going to see the Mario movie on my birthday. Thanks, I'm hoping I get to see it. I'm hoping to see the trailer with the Mario movie. Being able to see the Trolls trailer on the big screen on my birthday would be amazing.
Yup, that's the Arwing, the hard mode one. I should boot up the game one of these days, I honestly loved Zero. This week will be a lot of Mario games because obvious reasons.

Yeah, it was a children's show take of Alice in Wonderland, and really feels like something out of the early 90's too. Surprisingly I did look up Under the Umbrella Tree, it wasn't made by Disney, only broadcasted by them. Funny how Adventures in Wonderland made me remember it since it also had puppets. I like the Chip N Dale movie a lot, it's like a modern day Rodger Rabbit, with the most meta redemption arc ever. It had me laughing. IIRC, Talespin was a part of The Disney Afternoon Block along with Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers.

Thanks! The only other Game Gear game I got from the eShop was Tails Adventure. I do have Shining Force CD on my Genesis Mini 2, which IIRC, is a remake of the Shining Force Gaiden games on the Game Gear. I have the Master System versions of Sonic 1 and Chaos, but not Sonic 2. Mainly because I remember the Game Gear version of Sonic 2 got difficult very quickly... I never beat the first boss. Kinda wish I got the SMS version because of the higher screen resolution.

Ohhh, gotcha. That's cool you liked that Chip 'n Dale movie, so that combines CG animation and live-action, I think? I think you're right on Talespin being part of the Disney Afternoon. Have you ever seen Gargoyles? That's another one I remember seeing on the Disney Channel back in the day. It has quite a darker style compared to most other things that Disney has made.

@MarioLover92 Seems like you had a great time watching the Mario movie. I'm hoping to catch it next week...likely on $5 Tuesday. No time for a Saturday morning showing this weekend. My schedule is a crazy one between Easter-related stuff and a visitation that morning.
The irony is that even though I know where some of the shortcuts are in MK8D now, I sometimes forget to start prepping for them ahead of time. I sometimes miss them or fall off the stage. Rainbow Road still makes me twitch....As for what's in store for the Switch, I'm not really sure on the first party Nintendo front after Tears of the Kingdom. The only games I'm keeping an eye on past May 12th are We Love Katamari REROLL and Trails Into Reverie (Falcom/NIS America).
@Sunsy Yeah it's not the kid games per say, it's that he expects everyone to like the things he likes and dislike the thing he dislikes. I will admit I got into with him a few times over him going off on Nintendo Life having articles on Mature games. Instead of talking out and explaing stuff he just blocks people and abuses the ignore function like a kid or something (which is why I strongly believe he's a kid that's trying to fool people that he's older. Anyway the troll is probably someone he did that too and figured that's the only way to get his attention. Again not saying the troll is right but Anti isn't innocent either.

Rainbow Road is indeed pretty challenging at times... especially the remade N64 one. Recently, I've had an instance in that course where I would fall near the end, and I got last place as a result. It's actually a very difficult course to recover from blunders like the one I've mentioned, since it's a one-lap course and there aren't any shortcuts that I've noticed. Great course, but it's quite unforgiving if you drive off! Rainbow Road from Mario Kart Wii might still be more challenging, though... I still distinctly remember those wavy turns before the launch star. Those gave me SO much trouble when I first played it! It might be the last DLC course for MK8D, since it recently came out in Tour... I wonder how I would handle it in 8 Deluxe?
I know they're making Pikmin 4 as well, but I kind of forgot what else is in store. I'm kind of hoping for the next Mario platformer to come out, but we don't know if Nintendo's making it or not. They did say to look forward to future Nintendo Directs, but that's it.

take a game that everyone wants on switch Mario galaxy 2. People will undoubtedly purchase the game look at the sales of the mario 3D all stars collection or anecdotally peoples love of it on social media. We probably do not have time for another mario game on switch assuming that the successor to it comes out in a year to two years Thats an awful long time without a new mainline mario game. Why not remaster galaxy 2 to hold us over till the switches successor everyone would be as exited about it as a new release and it would cost nintendo less money since they already have an effect wii/gamecube emulator. Ports/emulation is a win win consumers get more products nintendo gets more money. You know like the whole idea of capitalism
Xenoblade is perfect at setting stuff up there is no wasted time. You see these other games even other amazing really well regarded games stall story progress by giving you a series of fetch quests or a boss you have to grind to beat in order to extend the time playing the game. Xenoblade dosen’t do it everything in the main story exists for a reason. The only issue is the side content which is pretty mediocre other than the blade quests. One of the best things about 3 is the side quests are written with the passion of the main story. Every side quest is worth playing meaning xenoblade’s one noticeable flaw is nonexistent in 3.
As for the character designs I am going to be honest it’s not like xenoblade or the xeno series was ever some pure wholesome franchises with innocent character designs
The game does have more fanscervice than the other xeno games but compared to everything great about it the fanscervice is more than overlookable not to mention it makes sense in the lore blades are hot because Klaus wanted them to be appealing to humans. I can enjoy the games and not let some revealing character designs distract me. As for smash I think thats more just because the smash fanbase is incredibly toxic they will find any reason to attack any character that isn’t the specific dlc character they want I realize this is getting a bit rambly now but this video sums up my opinions on smash fans better than I could (naughty words)
It’s fine if people get uncomfortable and personally don’t want to play the games but it gets excessive after awhile. And not being spoiled is always a great feeling
Same I completely neglected this franchise if it wasn’t for covid brain we I may not have recommended 2 to you. It’s a (I guess Jrpg is offensive to some Japanese developers) character driven Rpg. They just don’t catch on here too anime or foreign for many people to risk the investment . Video games are 60 dollar investments especially Nintendo games that don’t drop in value. Why risk purchasing xenoblade if you dislike it you just wasted $60 which is alot of money for people. Now compare it to Pokémon sure the games have some flaws but they are the mcdonalds of gaming you know what the game will be like and you will know that you will enjoy it to some degree. There are probably millions of people who would absolutely adore xenoblade but the $60 hurdle is just too much for them better to play safe then end up with $60 down the drain. Like I have siad a few times now I grew tired of Pokémon dropping the ball with switch releases I wanted a change and xenoblade was the game I chose to invest in. And now I have played too many JRPG’s on a somewhat related note I probably should mention that if you want an experience very similar to xenoblade 2 while also completely different I recommend Nier
People will buy the Pokémon dlc at ridiculously high prices and so why not sell it at those prices ? The disgusting part is Pokémons dlc is 35 dollars and xenoblade 3’s is 30 and Xenoblade 3’s dlc will probably end up being a better designed and longer game than base Pokémon games on switch
one thing about Amalthus though is you have to give him some props look at the size of world tree he managed to climb it. It’s probably what drove him insane
Nia’s voice is perfectly sassy I love it. I am sure her Japanese actress has done an amazing job but I cant give up the angry welsh catgirl her dub work is that amazing
I would be really enjoy some comic about the 2 of them trying to manage a perfume shop. Morag would both grow the plants and hunt them in some cases like those giant ones while Brighid applies her knowledge of perfumes to turn said plants into money add in a romance between them and yeah it would be great . As for zeke he managed to find the perfect family. Zeke despite presented as comedic and having the crazy uncle energy has a pretty sad story and is surprisingly wise. He dropped one of the most important lines in the game to rex she’s your girl you have to quit whining and respect her choices. His luck just magnifies his comedic qualities when really he is pretty nuanced a banished prince who’s family hates him
I think the xenoblade franchise is kind of a hidden gem 3 million a game definitely isn’t the greatest showing a game can have. Luckily the franchise is getting more mainstream appeal it got on TGA that is really good for the health of the franchise. M prime is also an amazing game I have been told but I am glad you got xenoblade instead it’s nice to have another convert and I can’t wait to see your reactions to 1 torna and 3.
I definitely would not consider myself a shipper I don’t really get invested into the relationships of fictional characters as usually it isn’t what I care about in fiction. I am much more interested in seeing the characters saving the world rather than who they want to date. Xenoblade 2 is different I genuinely like these characters and want to see them have happy fulfilling endings. And as for M&B come on they are perfect for each other. Brighid is practically confirmed to be Bi they care deeply for each other and Brighid has said so many things that imply she wants a romantic relationship with morag. And morag isn’t necessarily romantically interested in her during the events of 2 but that’s just morag she has trouble being close to anyone and despite that she was still incredibly close to Brighid. As I said the 2 are the obvious opposites attract couple with the solider and the lady being a common and great trope . I could definitely see a romance form between the 2 and as long as it’s never confirmed or denied I’m gonna ship it and remember Yippee.
And yeah the memes about them say alot it shows something when your ship can be commuicated trough them. If 2 characters relationships are fleshed out enough for head cannons and memes then I understand ships forming I have more memes I’ll post them later because I fear If I navigate from this page it will crash and I am tired
He is such a boring character it’s not funny it’s like the writers put all the personality into Brighid and then remembered he exists again theres a reason no one ships Brighid and him despite hypothetically them being able to have great romantic chemistry which is not explored in game
he dosen’t want to do it but he has to hurt people. That’s what makes him tragic the idea that literally anyone except for the psychopath could have made malos turn out alright. Instead he was just an uncontrollable mistake made by Amalthus that makes it incredibly tragic.
Nia is amazing I really can’t argue against her being the best her voice as I said earlier is perfect and xenoblade is amazing at dubs and this is the game with the dubs everyone dislikes now imagine what the other games are like
Ragnarok was an amazing sequel I enjoyed every second I played it. I legitimately couldn’t tell you if I enjoyed it of Xenoblade 3 more it was one of my favorite game in years. Ragnarok is a perfect experience from the opening to the slaying of the final boss. I couldn’t give it enough recommendations and I give it a 9/10 because to be objective I can’t give a 10/10 to a gamw I had to wait a month to finish because of glitches. I don’t want to go into the plot but it was amazing the characters were amazing the graphics amazing music amazing gameplay amazing etc. It is a masterpiece and worth your time

Because Nintendo for some reason only makes decisions doesn’t make sense, 3d all stars, we all bought it, but we knew it was for fomo, they could have added galaxy two, they could have made an emulator for NSO by now, but noooo, that would make sense, they would do that, but copy right strike any fan made game or take down any ways to play there older stuff, just bring it to the switch, I would by it my god.
I love it when my time isn’t waisted, i don’t think any mainline story beat they had you do, didn’t have something to do with the story, everything just, clicks, even characters that were not brought up till much later, had a roll, each and everyone.

Wow, ngl I thought xenoblade was kinda clean lol, can’t say I’m disappointed. Definitly overlook-able, sure xenoblade 2 did have some boob shots but it’s wasn’t anything too major, Klaus was such a chad, even the dudes are freaking hot! It’s so funny you say this because that is exactly what my vent is about, exactly what it’s about. I was one of the people to hate byleth when they arrived, but believe it or not, they ended up being he first person I Maine’d online, since them I loved them! I get it, you want your character to get in, it why scream and cry over the designs now, they even censored them, which tbh I actually like them that way better compared to the main game, and people still complained, I saw a whole freaking article talking about it and one of there examples and points, was freaking fanart, swimsuit fanart, you chairs picked freaking fanart, I gotta see if I can find it so I’m not misremembering
And those same people like to act innocent, like they haven’t played nor liked a game with none of that in it, not saying that everybody, but it isn’t nobody.
McDonald’s of gaming is the best comparison I have ever heard. I understand the feeling to boot, the reason why I got two first before one was because of the price, what if I didn’t like it? And I thought at least 2 has some cute wifues in it, so it might be more worth it to me, man, was I wrong, so, wrong, came for the girls, stayed for the amazing characters and story.

I think this game is the first time where I switched to English with no problems, like, I would Change it, ever, a few games I did, but just because I didn’t like one voice, this, there all great! Welsh cat girls for life!
give me my slice of life xenoblade manga! Zeck is such a great character for that vary reason, when you first meet him, you kinda think he’s going to be the team rocket of the game, then he is shown to be important but you think of him still, a silly goofball, but then this guy randomly drops these amazing words of wisdom, then you see him almost die! Then you see him freaking live with an evil madman grooming him to be his partner in a way to work side by side, to corrupt him, not zeck tho.and then, gave Rex what he needed to hear in that vary moment, so glad we got a happy ending for the two.

This game almost feeds you the romances, people ship them sure, but was it you, or the devs? Because the way they wrote them, idk, seems like they wanted us too. I’m going to remember that line, and I have no idea what it means and I can’t wait to find out! I’m just waiting to post that Danny meme saying “I finally get it” or something like that

Now as for my rant, I get it, not everyone has to like pyra and Mithras designs, and I don’t think the comparison to bayo was the best because of there different intentions, but just look at the comments https://www.reddit.com/r/SmashBrosUltimate/comments/12awbc3/j... , half of them sound like they only played bayo, watch a few clips of xenoblade, and called it a day, I never played a Bayonetta game, so I would never compare her personality if I never played it, yet that’s all they do, as one comment put it, kinda ironic that all the world see pyra and mythra as, is a weapon, nothing else, not a person not a human, not something with emotions, all they see her as is an object, and it annoying me.
I even picked out a few ones that I kinda disagree with, again don’t have to like the designs, but man do they do a good job at making me feel bad for liking a freaking game.
Also pyra wasn’t dating a 14 year old like that, she is literally the same metal age, get your guys head out the anime gutter, it’s not like that, and your making it freaky by saying that.
And I know it’s silly to get triggered by what another person on the internet said, and it’s their opinion, but this is just as much mine opinion as this is there’s.
