I don't play pixel remasters, I mostly play the ones released on PS store on PS Vita, so I can't tell whether they're good

Oh, maybe I could use the Vita two of my sisters went halves for, for any it's hard to get. Yeah, plus I've heard that one of my favourite games might have been partially inspired by X so I definitely want to play that one, but it'll probably have to be the HD version which I heard ruined the artstyle a bit.

@TeaCatherine I prefer the original versions, always. I don't even know if I should go through remastered X or the PS2 original. Which game is inspired by X?

@ComfyAko I heard XC3 shares some similarities in some ways. I mean I get what you mean with some things, but sometimes remasters are fine, basically slightly improved graphics ports are good. So, are you saying you haven't played X? For your last question, it depends, do you prefer handhelds or consoles or PC? (I don't even know if it's on PC.)

@TeaCatherine I played X many times, I remember the first couple of hours by heart. I heard they remastered the music in X Remaster and upon listening for a minute or so I hated it. They were the same melodies, but they were slightly better quality and it wasn't what I had remembered. I'm gonna risk stating that Xenoblade series is pretty similar to Final Fantasy's golden age (7 - 10) for a couple of reasons, like the number of characters in your team, some similar storytelling things, etc

Oh, man, you haven't see the battle system in 3 have you? It may well come as a shock.
Personally, I'm a handheld only person, I have a PS3 which I got last year but I can never bring myself to play on it, because I find my Switch way more comfortable to use, the only point of TV consoles for me is multiplayer. You do tend to have nostalgia bias a lot, so I'm just going to hope you're just overreacting on the subject of music.

I started my journey with PS3 games since last December 2019 after I got a chance to buy the machine.
It was pretty late to buy PS3 in year 2019 but never too late to play PS3 games in year 2020's.
As my PS3 games grew quickly during year 2020 - 2022, my PS3 games collection are mixture of Western cartoon games, Disney games, Dreamworks games, DDR, The Sims 3 games, All Ratchet & Clank PS3 games, Sly Cooper, Move games, SSX, Skylanders games, etc.
I only have 2 JRPG games for my PS3 collection: FF XIII and Ni no Kuni as I don't like most of JRPG games on PS3 due to higher age rating and mature contents.
I still looking for more PS3 games that I have never played before and of course only kids games I allowed with a few of Rated Teen games if I have interest about.

@TeaCatherine I haven't seen the battle system of 3 I hope it's kinda like 2 because it was one of the best battle systems I've seen. PS3 has a lot of gems.
I mean technically remaster music sounds even a bit better, but it doesn't sound EXACTLY the way the OG sounds and it bothers me

@Anti-Matter Yeah, I found mine in a charity shop sometime last year, I thought I'd use it often but it's mostly been used by my siblings and it's mostly been used as a blu-ray player as we had never bothered getting one.

@ComfyAko It's quite similar but there might be some things about that bug you.

@ComfyAko But she wasn't even trying, she was just spamming arts, she wasn't using pouch items, she hadn't bothered with affinity charts, upgrading arts, cancelling and, heck, she hadn't even given people equipment.
Eh, fair enough. I mean in quite a few ways old games were better.

I didn't use pouch items too, to be honest. Cancelling is ultra fun in that game, I love it.

There are more than one way to have fun with a game and it's completely ok if someone doesn't bother to learn the game mechanics but wants to play through a story. There is nothing wrong with different kind of fun, so I think the way your sister played it was ok. I mean who am I to judge how other people should have fun.

Depends. You were either trying to screw with her or trying to help her. Now, if you set it from normal to expert mode I still wouldn't be mad at you because it's something my brother or Seef would pull on me and I find it funny.

@ComfyAko I didn't first time round but some of the effects are really helpful in Bringer of Chaos mode, I love cancelling too. The thing is, she keeps complaining about the story and the only reason she's playing it is 'cause I bribed her to, so I figured she may as well have a challenge.

@TeaCatherine I read your post wrong. I say make it harder than normal.

@TeaCatherine I completely understand wanting someone to play the game you love. What are the concerns about the story, is it not to her liking?

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Yeah, but if you have such a low amount of money, I figure you may as well.
Also, I wasn't trying to mess with her or anything I just feel there wasn't much point as she had it on the lowest difficulty possible, enemy heath set to minimum, enemy attack set to minimum, everything as easy as possible. I did think about setting it to hard for a joke but that would be wrong.
