@Owl1 oh I think they were actually substantial enough, with a few exclusive features. You can say all three together form a full release, but I liked how you could just pick whichever had the activities that appealed the most to you.
I actually got the “arts and letters” one before the eShop closed, and have been playing it daily since then. So it’s fresh in my mind.
@Eel They also did the same for Art Academy as well, but that was way more lesson based than Brain Age.
I own Brain Age 1 & 2 physically for DS... My copy of Brain Age 2 is brand new and I got it for $5 CAD with free shipping off eBay, a good deal for what would normally be a shovelware title.
@Colonel_Mustache I'm mostly replies only in this thread - don't have time to keep up with the glut of posts these days - so I actually just spent a couple minutes digging for some context. Still not sure I fully have it tbh. Not sure if that user has certain forum notifications set up or what, but I could see how those could get a bit out of control (I turned off most of mine a couple years ago to cut down on email notifications). But since I mostly stick with replies and threads that interest me, no apology needed where I'm concerned.
@MarioLover92 I've never quite got the hang of drifting in MK8D, though I'm definitely better at it than I used to be. Part of my problem is I don't have some of the courses memorized, so I'm not up to par on some of the shortcuts. I enjoy it most of the time, but I usually quit if I start getting frustrated as that isn't beneficial to anyone.
Link's Crossbow Training on Switch might indeed be a stretch, but stranger things have happened lol. I'm admittedly unfamiliar with any Super Scope titles, so I'll take your word for it.
@Eagly Ugh, yes, mosquitoes aren't fun. Though they're avoidable by being out at certain times of the day, using bug spray, and wearing certain types of clothes. There are other biting bugs too. I do think the Switch still has some legs yet, but as it's just entered its sixth year the tech will need refreshed before long. The MK8D DLC is definitely the better approach for now. That way Nintendo can save any new gimmicks for MK9 + the Switch's successor.
I don't deny Rex has some mature moments due in part to his circumstances. I will say I found the rock bottom part natural and (mostly) handled well. As for Riki...I did actually find that location! Though I was nowhere near powerful enough to beat that boss, I was able to sneak past it and somehow glitched out of the encounter IIRC (Might've had to do with stairs I think?). I think I figured it was a Nopon but not specifically Riki. I had some issues with that Malos fight you mentioned too, though IIRC it only took a couple tries.
