@ComfyAko I'm guessing that you said something serious. You feeling okay now, though?

@ComfyAko Oh, man I was hoping things would go well for you. Still, at least you had the courage to try, there's no way I could muster up the courage (not until I have proof, at least) to say my thing to my parents, even with the "just joking" thing.

@TeaCatherine I don't remember if you've talked about your parent(s) before, but saying something along the lines of what I think you're talking about all depend on two things: your parents, and the situation you're in when you tell them. If your parents are the super understanding type, then they'll understand. If they're not, then you probably know what'll happen. As for the situation, if you tell them during a time that is right (Ex: the subject is brought up), then maybe they'll listen. But if it comes out during an.. unfavorable event, then they won't even bother to listen to you.

I don't know if you're comfortable talking about this in such a public forum, but I'm trying to help you by speaking from experience.

@ChaoticMagolor Eh, I'm waiting for a good time, the situation is worsened by the fact I've not met anyone in real life for years, the only people I know well are my family. Some of my siblings know but some don't and some that don't are lurkers.

I'm still trying to find an old post of mine that (I think Snatcher quoted) summed me up decently well.

I might just make a V2 version of it if I can't find it...

I didn't mean to hit the @ button... lol

@TeaCatherine Hm. That's how I started. Then when I started seeing people again, I knew for sure. Anyway, I think waiting until you can confirm it is a good idea, but don't count on it. Sometimes, circumstances can cause you to tell your family earlier than expected, and just create a whole mess..

I wish you luck, though. That road is VERY bumpy..
