Plot device works as a descriptor of twists. The thing I’ll say about xenoblade is it knows how to crush you. It doesn’t even have to be a plot twist all it has to be is something horrible happening to these characters which is something common in these games. But to refocus on twists xenoblade twists aren’t just twists they are something more. You will have so many things snap into place and if you replay the game you realize every piece of foreshadowing you missed
Individual damage is capped at 999,999. Chain attacks displays cap at 9,999,999 but you can do more damage. However When modded to remove damage caps doing a billion damage is possible
The banter in nier is amazing. NSFW but amazing the amount of times the characters have gotten into the dumbest possible arguments astounds me. For instance I remember one whwre they get into some weird discussion about knives that devolves into a discussion about having a thousand hands so you can use a thousand knives at once and it perfectly captures the energy of dumb discussions you have with friends
It just works that way. Take learning a foreign language.just trying to speak to someone in thier native tongue if you are learning a second language just shows how bad you are at it. To you what you are saying makes perfect sense to them you are a five year old. A sub could have the worst grammar of all time and you would not be any wiser
I like Pokémon conceptually and the 3ds games but the franchise needs revitalization. The games on 3Ds looked phenomenal but the exact same models transferred to the significantly more powerful switch look abysmal. And while graphics are not everything gameplay isn’t much better. Other than legends Arceus it has stayed the same and after so many Pokémon games I find it hard getting invested in the same gameplay loop with the same formula. I know it can’t happen because of the game tournaments but I wish game freak would go back and completely rehaul the battle system it works but it could be better. And then there is just a level of complete incompetence like not being able to put certain pokemon in the poke-bank because the developers programmed them wrong or the arrow in the sword/shield closing cutscene. In addition the whole gamefreak lying about models. I have many reasons not to play Pokémon especially with all the better alternatives on switch The aforementioned xenoblade and Nier then Persona and Monster hunter. Fire emblem and the list goes on. They do the bear minimum attacks being animated unieqly, stable frame rates, side quests, voice acting all things pokemon lacks.

That is just the kind of writing I enjoy, it always astounds me how much they can fit into just tiny bits of dialogue, but it means so many things, so many.
So is it scripted or is it all made up on the spot? Because that sounds like some genuine randomness that only friends would talk about lol.
Honestly the things gamefreak does wouldn’t be acceptable by no other developer, the only thing, the only single thing that has kept them remotely afloat is the design team, not to mention game freak kinda sorta threw that one dev team tasked with remastering pearl, they lied to us as you said about the dex then tried to play it off as if we misunderstood them, like what a #### thing to do, I love Pokémon too, but something has to change.
If Pokémon was like a 40/30$ game then maybe I wouldn’t care, but it’s a 60$ game with what’s probably going to be 20 to 30 dollar dlc, it’s crazy. (Legends being the sorta almost exception to all this for me)

Omg you really don’t need a healer, because I have Nia! Now I can have zeck on the team wee! That whole area to get to the third blade was pretty tough, I didn’t fight anything tho, don’t think they wanted me too, but this area has my one complaint I think I really have with this game, it’s a small one but, I cannot stand field skill, please tell me they get removed in three, there soo annoying, and the straw that broke the camels back was me needing them to even make it to the blade! Which I think is stupid, I was fine because I did have a level two wisdom and I did have that one blade for morag I forgot to unlock till now, and just unlocked the extra I forgot what it was but it was for brigid.
I know it worked out just fine, but man, it’s story content, I almost feel like it shouldn’t be blocked out by something like that, again not a big complaint at all, and it’s by no means ruining my experience, just found it a little infuriating.
Back to positives I love how chapter 7 so far has been used to grow the characters more! I got to know more about Nia! Zeck and pandoria got something too, and I just loved how her glasses cleared after that, it was so cool!
The story is just so amazing! I’m loving it so much, I’m so overwhelmed! I think I’m gonna do side quest to get my affinity charts for my favorite Nia. (Without mythra I am nothing ):

@Eagly The main problem Pokemon has is there's too many new games in a short space of time. If you look at the vast majority of big franchises nowadays, the gap between 2 consecutive new entries in those franchises is usually around the length of 2 whole Pokemon generations. Like when BotW launched we were 4 months into Gen 7 and when TotK launches we'll be 6 months into Gen 9.
The Zelda cycle of 1 new mainline game every 6 years and filling the gaps with spinoffs and ports/remasters/remakes would likely help Pokemon a lot.

Not to self, after seeing other cartoon fans on Twitter bully a fellow Trolls fans for being excited for the upcoming third movie, I'm glad I made the smart decision to leave Twitter years ago.
@Sunsy I did participate in some Sonic Dash events, but I also played to earn characters/upgrades in general. Some score chasing too. I had more time back then, namely because I didn't make fitness a priority and also worked closer to where I live.
IIRC, Pokemon Shuffle on 3DS was way more lenient with gems from what I've read. You could get hung up, but not to where you couldn't progress. The mobile variant is definitely way less merciful in this regard after a point. I will say that Pokemon Go makes it pretty easy to play without paying - I've never put real money into the game - though they've been trending more into exclusive passes and content gated behind paid tickets for certain events. Usually nothing that can't be missed, but sometimes they put a shiny legendary unobtainable elsewhere behind them....
Cool, I always like doing events when characters actually interested me, like the Christmas themed Amy, works out since I love playing as Amy in Sonic spin-off games, as well as Sonic Heroes, and I like Christmas.
I didn't even know that about the mobile and 3DS version of Pokemon Shuffle. Having only played the 3DS one, I thought updates to both games and the way they were were identical. Yeah the 3DS version just kept handing me gem after gem after gem. This is coming from someone who rarely buys any in-game currency too. I did get buy Apex coins last year and used them on some Christmas/Winter-themed skin for my main and favorite weapon, aside from that I usually just earn currency in-game. Which explains why I have so many blue tokens in Asphalt 9.

@Eagly Yeah, don't! I use to use Twitter ages ago, like when My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic was still current. Left because of how people got over the years.
Basically Cartoon Base posted about which of these four upcoming movies are you most excited for. A lot of people bad talked Trolls as they didn't like it for whatever reason, but the worst part is that people were just being nasty towards Trolls fans for being excited.
There's a huge difference between not liking something, and taking it too far by bullying others who do. Though, one guy did get salty because someone was looking forward to Trolls 3 more than SpiderVerse. Like, they're subjective opinions. So what if one person is looking forward to one movie over the other, we're all animation fans at the end of the day.
Sweet I get a snow day today. Although I kinda hope the schools overreacted because I need to drive myself to the doctor in a few hours and it sounds pretty bad out there.

@Eagly That's the way it should be. Like someone looking forward to one movie more isn't making the other person looking forward to the movie any less. Trolls 3 existing isn't going to stop people from going to see the SpiderVerse sequel and vice versa. They're both movies that exist (upcoming anyway), and people can look forward to whichever one they want.
I can agree with that because at least on reddit, everything is divided into communities. From my experience with reddit, the only toxic places I've been to is gaming, Apex Legends, and DreamWorks. Other subreddits that are smaller and specific to something tend to be more friendly.
@Eagly Indeed. Personal note, I find it actually refreshing that the Sonic subreddit is much nicer than the old Sega forums I went to. Which is something given the reputation Sonic's fanbase has.
Indeed, one is a sequel inspired by Spider-Man (haven't seen SpiderVerse since I'm not into superheroes, that's as much as I know) and a superhero movie, the other is a musical that's a comedy (going by previous entries, still nothing is known about the movie aside from Trolls 3 and November 17, 2023 from the initial announcement). The only thing they have in common is they're both animated. I agree, it just sad to see other cartoon and animation fans behave so badly towards others just for looking forward to an upcoming movie.
Edit: That brings up another point, some might not be into superheroes, and some might not be into musicals, which could be a deciding factor too.
@Eagly Yeah, I personally wait for a sale for most things plus I still can't play 5, because my little sister who's crazy possessive about pretty much everything she owns, got it so...
