I did it. I FINALLY FOUND MY MISSING 2DS XL! AKA the money i spent on Kid Icarus Uprising was NOT wasted. 🎉

@Eagly Heh, I'll take a nontraditional AAA game! Another reason I don't get them much off of Nintendo systems is because many seem to be "Been there, done that". Though choice of platforms and time are my biggest factors.
On the XC3 DLC: TBH I think it could go either way. A sequel of sorts makes sense, but I could also see a prequel happening. An online friend and I have been speculating that the scene we caught a glimpse of in the last Direct might actually be a flashback of sorts from before the world of XC3 was "frozen". IDK what you know, (XC spoilers incoming!) but there's a fan theory floating around that Alvis is the third Conduit.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@TheJGG xenoblade character writing in general is superb. You can at a base level remember most characters interactions with each other. It’s just fun to listen to them talks to each other wether the topic is about turtles, potatoes., red pollen orbs or something that is actually important to the overall story. I even like the dumb pointless covos because I just like listening to these characters speak.
Why don’t you like the girl with the Gall?
3 is easily the darkest xenoblade game it tracks that by comparison it’s light moments are the most enjoyable. Because they balance out the sense of dread in 3. It also helps that the light moments are well written and they never feel out of place
Oh for sure. I feel like with the first game the writers were a bit rusty and as a result there wasn't an insane level of depth apart from foreshadowing ("in my head there are two versions of me" and all). The second and third can be seen as big returns to the roots of Xeno-writing with heavier Jungian psychology, Gnosticism, you name it.
What I liked about 3 in particular was the unique dialogue for quests. Since all six party members get together very early on, every quest has each character chip in, whereas in Xenoblade 1 you may happen across one line of unique dialogue for named-NPC quests.
As for Sena... while I believe I understand her character and can relate to her well (building herself up to be someone she isn't) I don't really like the way the game tries to make you think that she and Shania are even remotely similar apart from face-value connections. Chapter 5 is one of the only chapters where she gets meaningful character development, at least to my best memory. She's just there for the rest of it, and even her own side story isn't even about her!
@TeaCatherine Nia is the best! It’s still so hard to pick one favorite, but if I had to, this is it, I would have liked her to be in smash as an assist trophy at least ):
@Eagly Oh yeah I know about a thing or two there, I would say there is one, that is sorta a big deal but not to me because direction wise story wise character wise I know nothing!
I have no clue about her backstory, but she has it easy? And you still say it’s tragic, dang!
I know I have heard how op he gets later, I don’t hate it like that honestly, it’s something for me that I completely listen to just fine, he is the least annoying person I have heard in an rpg.
Wait, because they were being cheap, we got this amazing dub! Omg that’s crazy! nir gots a good dub too? First time I have heard, great too know!
No no, I agree with you, I don’t understand how jp words are supposed to sound in a specific situation, so if. Dub sucks, jp is just naturally going to be better.
