@Eagly Eh, to be honest, I'm just going to turn my brain off 'til it comes out now. Also, I don't know about the Brigid/Morag thing, I mean I'd be cool with it but I just don't see it happening. Love the fact you used a minor joke thing for the Taion one, but why doesn't he look anything like his supposed parents?
Also, off the topic of Xenoblade, I absolutely hate Game (a UK game store chain.)

@Eagly Funny enough I literally found it right when I posted that lmao! Ok I don’t play many jrpgs of nature but are they like this too? Where as you go along the story your characters change, with some even dying at points? I know one other that did this as well, because I really love the format, I get new stuff characters and so on, and I feel like I haven’t unlocked my full potential yet, fe does something similar too, and if so, I might have found I new genera I love lol

@Snatcher In a good JRPG, the answer to your question is yes. So, have you just finished chapter 3? (I believe that's when I mean, I last played it years ago.)

@Eagly I think the Nia one is a bit of a stretch plus isn't Roc referred to with male pronouns in game, they just don't count as male or female for the merc missions? What makes you say the Blades thing?
I hate Game because they often have the same thing in stock, brand new (they do sell second hand stuff but that's not what I'm talking about) but marked as different prices for absolutely no reason plus, if you find something that seems like a bargain when you take it to the till they conveniently don't have the game cart.

OOOOOOOOOH I'M MAD

So a while back, if you visited the Recent Retro Purchases Thread, you may have seen me discuss some purchases I had picked up from CEX for my old Wii. Specifically, these were Zack & Wiki, Madworld and, the crown of them all, Mario Galaxy 2. After picking all them up (in addition to a new Nunchuck), I anxiously awaited the day I would finally have the time to play them. And, after beating Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga last night and getting home from work today, I decided today was the day I was finally going to get started on a game I've been wanting to play since forever: Galaxy 2! I pop it into the system aaaaaaaand disc error.

I pop it in again and the exact same thing happens.

I check the other two games to see if maybe it's a thing with the system and they work perfectly fine.

Of course the game I wanted to play the most is the one that doesn't work.

AND THAT'S NOT EVEN THE END OF IT!

When I went to check my emails for the proof of purchase (for returning the game and such), I noticed an auto-generated email from CEX asking me to leave a review on one of the products I purchased from them recently.

Take a wild f****** guess as to which one they chose.

@Eagly Yeah, it seems like there are three thoughts people can have upon watching that scene. Either you work out she's a flesh eater, you think she's trans or you think she has a tail.
At some point in December I think I complained that I had 2 different problems with 2 different Game stores? Well, the same happened earlier, my sister was going to get one of my other sisters Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity for £13 however when she went to pay for it, bam, no game card (again) and depending on which part of the store you were in they were selling something for either £44.99 or £34.99 (granted it was Pokémon S/V so...).

Also, I have both of Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 Wii, but I didn't continue my progress of Galaxy 2 as I already felt burnt out, the game itself was not easy to play so it made me less engaged with the game.

@Fizza Surely, you can get a refund? We have done in the past when CEX purchases haven't worked. (Or they've had a completely different game card in.)

@TeaCatherine Currently planning it (got my proof of purchase through email), I'm just annoyed/amused by the one-two punch of having it be like that right out the box/disc (a box/disc that I payed €30 for mind you!) followed up by the gall of them asking what I thought of it specifically XD

@Fizza Ouch, that sucks big time. I would have been upset if a game I'm looking forward to playing ends up not working, too. Especially if it's something like Super Mario Galaxy 2. Is the disc able to be fixed somehow, or is it too scratched up or something?

@TeaCatherine Thats so good to know, because I think I like it, or for all I know I just really love xenoblade. And Yes, I just made it out of rexes home town and just got zeke. I would like to play morag more often but the AI Rex keeps switching to pyra, but, mythra is just so much better, her skills are so good, and seeing how people say not to summon blades on Rex I’m sure it gets even better.

@Eagly From everything I have seen which isn’t a lot, like maybe 2 minutes of three, it seems like the perfect combination of two and one, I can’t wait to get to it, definitely getting one and three physical.

@Eagly I've never played any of the God of War entries due to platform constraints, but I'm sure it's a franchise I'd like. Especially since I enjoy Greek/Roman mythology. I was quite addicted to Xenoblade Chronicles 3; I kept a decent sleep schedule and managed my other priorities, but most of my free time went towards that game. All 130+ hours of it! XD I did a lot of the side content, though not everything. I pretty much stopped after finally rolling the credits. I'm saving post-game content for when I inevitably go back and buy/dive into the DLC.

@MarioLover92 If you're the exploring type, XC3 has plenty of space and more to get lost in. It's a HUGE, mostly interconnected world, moreso than the previous games I'd say. I will say I was underwhelmed by Chain Attacks in the game at first, but they do get better.

Thanks! I highly recommend Chicory if anyone is into titles from smaller dev teams. I am enjoying my time with Dragon Quest VII (about 15 hours in), though I didn't get to play it as much as I wanted this past week...or game as much as I'd like in general. I just picked up my fourth permanent party member; the game gives you the first three, then occasionally was throwing in temporary party members for a bit lol. I love RPGs, but I do admit I'm trying to be pickier about the ones I do grab due to how long some of them can be. I completely ignored the Big Penguin Race after a few attempts and moved on. I reached the 70 star minimum in SM64 and rolled credits the other night; I now plan to visit Isle Delfino for the first time shortly.

Sorry about your bio grandfather as well. That must've been hard on your dad, especially at that age. I barely remember my other bio grandfather; he passed when I was three.
