@ComfyAko Yeah man, I love Ina. Heck, I love anything VTuber. I'm gonna actually become a VTuber. I'm gonna call myself Ai Takahashi and do dumb stuff on stream.

@ComfyAko Nah, sorry. The computer I managed to play some games on can't even run Persona 4 Golden or SMT3HD. @EllaTheKawaiiNeko Eh, I guess I'll look it up if I ever need to.
Currently playing: Metal Gear Solid

@TeaCatherine I am aware of how to set it up somewhat, because the most fun thing about anything is settings.
Truly I am mankind's natural foe! Evil Incarnate! A walking cataclysm! A shapeless insanity! GUNDHAM TANAKA!

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko So, you doing anything good this weekend? (I ask this today, because I might not be able to post tomorrow, we've got to drop some stuff off at my nana's house.)

Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
While everyone is playing Metroid Prime Remastered, I bought Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii U because eShop shutdown. The big thing with me and the original GameCube version, were the controls. Just didn't like the one stick setup. Using the control stick to move and turn, pressing a shoulder button and standing still to look around. I would have preferred a dual joystick setup (I'm happy the remaster has), but nunchuck to move and Wii remote to look is close to that, honestly, almost like an FPS with a keyboard and mouse.
Wanna say thanks @Tyranexx for the suggestion, this version fixes the one issue I had with the GameCube original. Will be enjoying this one, already have by playing some of it this afternoon.
@Sunsy I owned the "dumb" phone before that for about five years lol. It was time to trade up. The only negative about the new one was it didn't come with free game knockoffs like the other one lol. I loved the Breakout and Tetris variants on it.
For personal/the industry I'm in reasons, I've never owned an iOS device. I've owned various Android devices and even a Windows Phone too.
My previous one I had was from 2013, the only game I had for it was Sonic 1. The one before that one, I also had Sonic 1, also Cars Radiator Springs 500 and Need for Speed Undercover. I remember my mom's first flip phone had some helicopter game that was kinda fun. Graphics reminded me of the old black and white Game Boy. I think mom's second flip phone had a Tetris demo.
Enjoyed the Nintendo Direct. Quite a few things to look forward to, the Yoshi's Island course in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe looks so good! I already downloaded the Game Boy and GBA games on my Switch, too.
@Sunsy Yep I got the hang of it. Gotcha, there's two GameCube games I have that have a widescreen option. Those are Super Monkey Ball 2 and F-Zero GX. I actually played SMB2 (no, not Super Mario Bros. 2... lol) in widescreen fairly recently, and made quite a bit of progress in that game's story mode. Still a good game after all these years.
Gotcha, that's cool. It kind of depends on the game, and what my mood is too. I do like getting all the Power Stars in Super Mario Galaxy, for example. Getting all the Shine Sprites in Super Mario Sunshine... not so much. Plus the last time I played New Super Mario Bros. on the DS, it was just a casual playthrough, just getting to the end and that's it.
Yeah, I'd love to see the Sonic Advance games on NSO+EP. I mean, there's Sega Genesis games on there, lol. The SA games would be fun to play together. I might have forgotten, didn't Sonic Advance 3 have local co-op?
I got the original Game Boy stuff and been playing Link's Awakening DX, the first Zelda game I've played.
That reminds me, I also have Super Monkey Ball 2 and I also have Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which both have widescreen as well.
Yeah, for me, it's mostly a causal playing of the game when I'm not playing it currently. I'll try other things if I stumble accross them, I found some pipe room in Super Mario 3 on World 5 where I can fly and hit bricks to reach an area. It has me curious. I can't remember which level. I find finding stuff like that to be fun.
Yup, Sonic Advance 3 has co-op, actually played it when my friend visited last year. I'm happy GBA stuff is on the expansion pack, but I want to see more games come to it, I want to see the Sonic Advance games as well as Sonic Battle. Online Sonic Battle sounds like a good time to me. I can only play it when my friend visits. I have two GBAs, two copies, and a link cable just to play it.
I hope the online is good with the GBA stuff. Playing Tetris on the Game Boy app last night, it started to lag. Nintendo, get better servers, we're paying for this service now, lol. It's not servers, it's old fashioned P2P connection (older PC games used this setup).
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
i hope the next gen Switch has the ability to broadcast our gameplay using the Twitch app like on PS4 and Xbox, Switch 2 should be capable, this is 2023.
i enjoy Mario Kart Double Dash and Cups of Tea !!!!
@MarioLover92 It's conflicting for me since I love the JRPG and action/adventure genres, but many of those games can get quite long in the tooth. Just sticking to the main campaign would save me time, but I often feel these games are a journey, not a checklist item. Though I'm not afraid to drop a game I'm really not enjoying these days. Part of it is me playing catch-up; outside of a couple of franchises and one-off games here and there, I didn't really get into RPGs until late high school/early college.
I'm quite enjoying my time with Chicory; if all goes well, I suspect I'll finish the game this evening. It's a very charming game that isn't afraid to tackle some RL themes such as depression, Imposter Syndrome, and the pressure that high expectations can bring. I love the paint mechanics, and the gameplay is a lot like a top-down Zelda game in some ways. Worlds I like in SM64...Bob-omb Battlefield, Cool Cool Mountain, Big Boo's Haunt, Tiny-Huge Island, Tick Tock Clock, and Dire Dire Docks. It's a solid game with a few flaws; I still enjoy it despite never playing it until a few years ago.
On my step-grandpa: Thank you as well. It was a hard day in some ways, but it was also time; the poor man's quality of life really went downhill over the last year, especially the last couple months.
@Sunsy Hah, glad you're enjoying your time with MPT! It didn't take me long to pick up the controls at all back when I played through the trilogy despite not having a lot of experience with titles with FPS gameplay....Though I'd argue the Prime games aren't truly within that genre considering the other mechanics they employ.
Honestly, for old phone games, those don't sound bad at all. Tetris needs to be experienced by all people. That game is amazing lol. I really enjoyed the Windows Phone I had; it was my first smartphone and lasted me about five years. Unfortunately, I had to eventually switch since 1. the lack of app and software support was starting to kill me, and 2. Microsoft was more or less abandoning the Windows Phones around then anyway. I had a Nokia Lumia Icon from Verizon. It had an amazing camera for the time. I took some pretty neat pictures on it.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Sunsy Enjoy the Metroid Prime Trilogy. That's smart thinking on your part, honestly. I really wish the remastered version on Switch had the later two games in the series as well... I kind of blame the MPT rumors, lol. Perhaps they're working on MP2 and 3 remasters later down the road? We don't know if they are or not, Nintendo likes to keep their future games and products top secret. I really should get back to MPT at some point, lol. I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3 lately.
Nice, enjoy Link's Awakening DX as well. That's a good Zelda game for sure, I remember playing it for the first time on the 3DS. I went straight to the Game Boy Advance games last night, I got all gold trophies in Mario Kart: Super Circuit on 100cc, and played a few e-Reader levels in Super Mario Advance 4.
Oh that's one more game we know of that has widescreen. I think there's more than I originally thought, lol. Then again, we didn't have a widescreen TV during the PS2/GameCube days, just CRTs.
On that room in Super Mario Bros. 3 - is that the room that has the treasure chest? I wonder if that was the first level in world 5.
That's cool. I still have my copy of Sonic Advance 3, but it's been a long time since I played it. I don't have a second copy of it, so I'm curious to see how the co-op plays. I haven't played Sonic Battle in years, either... probably even longer than that. I do remember that it was pretty good. Yeah, you'll probably want to wait for more GBA games to show up, there's only 6 of them at launch.
I haven't tried the online for GBA games yet, but I'll let you know. I have a couple of friends on Nintendo Life who also have the expansion pack, and for the most part, the N64 games online worked pretty solid for me. Even if the game freezes for a bit, there's no input delay to speak of, so that's good at least. I'd imagine it's the same deal with GBA. That's a shame Tetris started to lag, were you playing online with someone? Yeah... their online could use more work. Mario Kart and Splatoon work great, but for Smash Bros., for example, it can be hit or miss. My last online session in Smash Ultimate did not go very well with all that freezing, and kind of discouraged me from playing it again. A lot of Smash players I've faced online are just so dang good, also. Even if the connection goes swimmingly, I keep losing to them!
@Tyranexx Oh absolutely, playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3 definitely got me in a chill mood, so I've been treating it as a journey as well. I pretty much do the same thing with games I'm not liking, just dropping them entirely. I do like RPGs overall - I should play them more often than I should, but XC3's been helping me with that, lol.
Glad to hear you're enjoying your time with Chicory. It does sound like an interesting game, and I think I'd like the gameplay quite a bit. I do like a good classic Zelda game after all, A Link to the Past is one of my favorite games of all time. That's cool, I like most of the ones you've mentioned. I like Jolly Roger Bay and Snowman's Land, too.
You're very welcome. Aw, I see... it's nice that he had you in his life and everything. Losses are never, ever easy to go through... my grandpa passed away when I was 9 years old, and that was heartbreaking for me, as well.
"Give yourself the gift of being joyfully you."
Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Oh that sounds neato! What kind of dumb stuff? Vtubers are super nice if you have time for them. I still remember their minecraft Christmas party where they decorated the tree
@TeaCatherine I don't play PC enough to know if not running Persona 4 is good or bad so I can't really help with measuring wheter the games I wrote would run, shorrii
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
@ComfyAko Basically, P4G is a port of a PS Vita game, that is in itself a an enhanced port of a PS2 game, our general use family computer sucks. @EaglyTheKawaiiShika Yes, I agree, the best way to make people care about romance is having good, likeable characters. Also, chairs are the best weapon.
