@Kermit1 It wasn't here, it was over at PushSquare, someone was saying that Switch wasn't a console, it was a handheld, I mean, it's both, that's it's gimmick, y'know? Plus, obviously handhelds are consoles, handheld consoles, an I right?

Good morning.
I woke up almost 3 am here, enough time before Nintendo Direct at 5 am at my place.

@TeaCatherine I for one don't like buff men or men, so I'm pretty picky in that matter too.

@Anti-Matter Well, I think it's more of a matter of quality of the design than personal preference for me. I don't really like jackets, but the oversized one looks really cute on Iono, and her colour palette has is great. The rapping granny was meh, but let's face it - almost every gym leader since gen3 is defeat and forget. If there's a well made tomboy, I like the design. So I don't have any set parameters on what I consider good or not, it has to click.

@Snatcher It's ok, I don't want to change anybody's opinion on anything, sometimes I'm just curious, and this cat is too tough to be offed by curiosity

@ComfyAko First direct of the year, oh boy I wonder what’s going to change in the gaming world today.

@Snatcher I'm hoping for a big change. Not a console because the Switch is a great thing, but something that will give me hope for the future of gaming, the kind of hope I still had when I was a kid in 00s. Something that will bring a spark to the future developers and publishers, so that they no longer make pointless, storyless mush with pretty graphics filled with 3 tasks copied and pasted 4000 times on a huge empty map.

I want to have the kind of hope I had when I played Okami, Half Life 2, LocoRoco or New Super Mario Bros, when everyone was looking forward to each big new release, dreaming about a new installment of their favorite franchise months before the release. I just want this feeling back with me for a spell.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Weird, my younger sister who also keeps up with this stuff says that the Yakuza problem started 'cause of the Wii U not the Wii?

@ComfyAko Approximately how old are you, if you don't mind me asking? Sometimes you seem a couple of years older than me (I'm 18) but sometimes you seem about 30?

2/10 Direct ... I only cared for Metroid Prime Remastered and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom ... everything else was ... just bad.

@Eel I have most of the Etrian Odyssey games that were announced, but I might get them again if there's a physical collection. I'm glad I can get the 3rd one now, though.

I only liked 3 things in that Direct. The GBA games are cool but I got rid of the NSO Bundle and now just have the base NSO. I now have PC game pass instead.

I should also mention I didn't feel hyped for this Direct because my Switch sounds like a jet engine while doing anything and I haven't really played on it in close to 2 months now.

Overall not a good direct. A lot of dlc and random indies. But Metroid Prime is interesting, and I will probably get it if it is the right price. And obviously I am hyped for TOTK, and will preorder as soon as I possibly can.

@Scooby-Doo yeah I never played that one either so it’s definitely on my list now.
