@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Yeah, I know that. Also, I managed to accept a recommended level 40 quest whilst everyone was about level 24 (the quest was Alexandria's hero quest by the way, and I had to sneak past tons of level 40s.)

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I'm guessing you were probably closer to the recommended level. Why, oh why is the Metal Gear Solid series the only thing I can't play stealthily?

@blindsquarel Yeah, the best of articles are kinda weird, but they also kinda help me remembering what in the name of all that is memorable I was playing and generally doing. I have a memory of a butter - addicted goldfish with severe brain damage.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Ah, I'll definitely go look for the first one you mentioned the others are out of my reach for now, I did get the Impression that CP was quite important. In terms of where I am in the story, I'm just at Ribbi Plains and I've taken a bit of a break to explore and do quests

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Can't say I'm too surprised that Disney owns a majority stake in Hulu. Looks like Comcast (terrible company) owns most of the rest of it. It's funny since Disney can be quite dark...just not so much in this day and age.
@Sunsy While I'd sort of like to get a bigger TV than a 40" sometimes, there's currently nothing wrong with my Smart TV. If I get a Roku, it'll likely be an external add-on lol.
Glad you're enjoying Sonic Frontiers. The Sonic series isn't really my cup of tea - I've tried getting into it more than once - but I can understand why it has its fans. Didn't know SF was open world TBH. Wii U...Switch...I don't mind where, I just think people should experience Breath of the Wild at least once.

@Eel I think I'll try going the thumbnail route and see how well it works.
All right, so here are some of my Christmas presents! They're in thumbnails, and you can click on them to see the pictures in their full resolutions. Plenty of games and Mario stuff, and even a few Disney gifts.
@Sunsy I've posted some of my Christmas gifts above. Nice, that sounds like a really good book. I haven't seen a lot of DreamWorks' stuff, but I have seen a couple of the Shrek movies. We've had the first one on VHS, and saw the sequel in a theater many years ago. I may give the first Trolls movie a watch sometime, I'll definitely think of you when I see it.
Oh that's awesome you're loving Sonic Frontiers! I do like both Sonic and BotW, so I'd love to play it sometime. Yeah I think it looks great in black and white, there's a certain charm to drawings that are just made with stuff like 3B pencils, charcoal, and other stuff like that.
I love Merry Mountain, as well. It was actually in Tour before it came out in 8 Deluxe, so since I didn't play Tour that much, it was brand new to me. The only Tour track I was kind of familiar with was Tokyo Blur. I'll see how the weather's like when the Mario movie comes out, it is important to dress for the weather, after all. And speaking of birthdays, my birthday is coming up next month!
@Tyranexx Just posted some of my Christmas presents above. That's cool you have 3D World on Switch, and I can't blame you. Bowser's Fury is the brand new story mode, after all.
All righty, cool, thanks for telling me about the movies. I think it would help that I've recently watched Sleeping Beauty, as well. Since I know what Maleficent is like and everything.
Ah yeah, I might post my haul on the holiday haul thread, as well. That's cool you got a game on Steam. I haven't been playing too much on Steam... I mostly play on my Switch these days, lol.
@MarioLover92 oh wow that’s a great haul! I gifted Mario + Rabbids to my brother.
I personally got a sloth plushie (with massaging action, oh la la), a pack of socks, a very random Fortnite figurine, a rubber duck dressed as the shark from Jaws, a single-serving coffee making machine (from a white elephant gift exchange we did, and I’m pretty happy I managed to keep it!), an iPad mini 6, a pretty cute coloring book kit, and a bag of Christmas candy.
No video games, oddly enough, but I can’t complain!
@Eel Thank you! I'm very happy with what I've acquired. I was a little worried about my copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 at first, since it's a UK copy, but it works just fine on my US Switch and I was even able to get gold coins from it! Sounds like you've got a good haul, as well. I got to give some nice presents, too!
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Yeah, actually, I played to get the good ending too. Where you have to save and reload to interact with each character during Act 1. It was pretty a pretty cool experience. Speaking of licensed and visual novels, that KFC was was actually unironically good. It could be meme'd, but as an actual visual novel, it was surprisingly good, lol.
Indeed, I had one of the brownies with cocoa too. I'm gonna save the juice, I kind of like them since they have less sugar in them, I like to be careful with sugar intake, and save sweets for a snack like a cookie or cocoa or something.
@Tyranexx That's how the old Smart TV was, we used it for Netflix and YouTube, but Peacock ran poorly (imagine watching a stream and it buffers frequently), so we had a Roku to complement it. Now that Roku is in my room on my TV.
That's fine. Yeah, the main area is a huge open world area, there's also smaller Sonic-style levels, but so far it's a blast running in the open world area. Indeed, such a big game too!
@MarioLover92 Those are some really nice gifts! You got lucky to get a Sega Genesis Mini 2. Yes, it's the same studio that made Shrek. Hope you enjoy Trolls whenever you watch it, thought I'd let you know because the movie is back on Netflix (it was on Netflix in 2017 previously).
I am, I'm really surprised how well Sonic works in an open world too. The whole island is just giving me BotW vibes. Indeed, I remember just using pencil to shade stuff when I was a teen, and it was just something I liked doing back then.
That I didn't even know because I don't think Merry Mountain has the "Tour" tag. I need to check next time I play Mario Kart 8. Yeah, it's a few months away so it should give plenty of time to prepare. That's great it's coming next month!
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy Yeah! I seriously didn't think I'd get a Genesis Mini 2, since Sega said themselves that it would be in more limited quantities than the first Genesis Mini. So that was an awesome surprise. It's also pretty nostalgic for me, since I used to have the model 2 Genesis back when I got it from eBay years ago. Thank you, when I see it I shall let you know what I think.
Yeah, all the gameplay I've seen have been giving me BotW vibes as well. I was wondering how Sega and Sonic Team would pull off open-world gameplay with Sonic, and seems like they've nailed it. That's cool you got to shade stuff back then. I've always wanted to get into drawing, even before I took that drawing class in college, and I did learn quite a lot in that class. The professor I had was really nice, too.
You're right, it didn't have the "Tour" tag. Neither did Ninja Hideaway, and that was in Mario Kart Tour, as well. Sky-High Sundae actually made its debut in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe before being ported to Tour. I think they're saving the "Tour" tag for courses that are in real-life places. I agree, and I'm quite excited... I hope they announce or release something Mario-related on my birthday! I know that they're planning on releasing Mario Party 3 on NSO+EP early next year, I'm sure they'll have the game up next month. I'm sure I'll still have a nice birthday regardless!
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Wait, you have to do that? Do you need to buy a UK eShop card to buy the DLC, as well? Granted, I'm not sure when I'll get to the DLC, but I kinda wanted to just stick with my main US account. Plus the game works fine on my Switch profile.
Randomly have on two guys playing Sonic Boom for Wii U on some Roku channel and it hit me, this game is already 8 years old. Feels like yesterday I woke up Christmas morning and played this.
Also, saw an ad for Happy Meals, and apparently the Super Mario Movie toys in them are out now. Seems kind of early.
On the subject of gifts, here's the plush I got for Christmas, it's Poppy's friend Branch as a pillow pet. I got the Poppy one for my birthday earlier in the year.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I still remember the KFC console idea, lol. True, but I'll watch it usually with drinks, and I rarely eat candy. I rather have like a cookie or a cupcake or a brownie as my one sweet thing, rather than have it with every drink.
@MarioLover92 That what makes it all the more surprising. Just like you, that Genesis model is nostalgic for me. I remember every kid where I use to live had the first model of the Genesis, so did my cousin, however, my brother had this one.
It's kind of cool, the island is very open, there's some enemies to fight, the layout includes platforms, grind rails, and all sorts of typical Sonic stuff. There was even a light tile puzzle similar to Sonic Boom in one location. You can run up certain structures, and have an ability to find rings. It feels like it's taking ideas from every Sonic game and it's working so well IMHO. I remember drawing a lot when I was a teen, often characters I like. Awesome you had a nice professor.
Yeah, it seems that way. Here I thought the ones without a "Tour" tag was new. So it seems Sky High Sundae is the only "new" track made for 8 Deluxe, but got added to Tour later on. Interesting how they're doing stuff like this for the tracks. Hopefully something good will happen close to your birthday related to Mario.
