Yeah, used to be 80's and 90's Western cartoon with hand drawing style were really good.
Let's say some example like Jem and the Holograms, Biker Mice from Mars, Captain Planet, Road Rovers, etc.
I personally never like poor design style from Western cartoon such as Gumball, Clam Chowder, Ed Edd & Eddy, Billy & Mandy, etc as I didn't see the appeal from that awful character design in my opinion.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I quite like Eunie and Mio. (By the way, I'm up to Colony Lambda at the moment.)
@Snatcher I think Studio Trigger's works due to being quite comedic just suit dubs better. (Okay, P&SwG wasn't made by Trigger, but it was made by the people who joined Trigger.)

@Anti-Matter Word up. I have no idea why some cartoons have horrible graphic style for no reason. After all, people like things that are estheatically pleasing

@ComfyAko Nowadays cartoons are so streamlined and basic! They are done with so little effort that it is insulting to kids.

Some people may find Cow & Chicken, I R Baboon and Courage the Cowardly Dog ugly and distasteful but I think they are done with so much care and attention therefore you can see their personality.

Speaking of the subject of cartoons and animation style, it always surprised me that most I run into who seen Trolls, never seen or even heard of Trolls: The Beat Goes On. In terms of animation style, IMHO, they did a great job translating the 3D animation to traditional 2D.

Most cartoons nowadays, seem to use the same style with that "bean mouth" (lack of a better phrase) look, even DreamWorks own TV shows. While the style is similar, I do end up liking some of the cartoons I do watch, just notice they mostly look similar.

Similarly they did a show based off their movie Home, and it looks really different than the movie. Some of their shows do use the movie 3D style (Kung Fu Panda and Boss Baby on Netflix), I always loved that DreamWorks put effort into their Trolls 2D series.

Credit where it's due, I'm surprised more younger kids shows have more different styles of animation. Saw a clip of Bluey recently, it doesn't look bad or similar to other cartoons.

Also, in before I get reminded of Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts, and I still need to watch it.

@Snatcher Agreed, they're like shorter levels of your usual Sonic levels, I played through Green Hill, Sky Sanctuary, I think Chemical Plant, which are all nice little nods. In the open world area, I feel like I'm exploring, and there's always something new to discover, and other places to reach. I could do a Cyloop on a certain area, discover Amy's tokens, rings, keys, new challenges. It just feels like there's a lot to discover and do, and I'm loving it.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I do really hate Noponkind however Riku does have a great voice, it kinda reminds me of Dunban's voice. Seriously, I'm British but I have no idea what type of accent Eunie has, any idea?

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Yeah, I want to see some Bluey episodes now, because it doesn't look bad. Agreed, I love Harvey Street Kids, and enjoyed the aforementioned Home series on Netflix, but they both seem to adopt that "bean mouth" look, whereas Trolls just remained faithful to source material. They look like they could be from the same show or universe to me.

I would also add Hilda had a nice style, always enjoyed that show, and honestly feel it's underrated because I don't see many talk about it. I even remember an episode of Hilda that made me tear up. The a season two episode where Hilda was looking for her pet deer-fox Twig, I was not expecting to cry towards the end of it.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika You sure about that? She sounds British to me and general consensus says it's Cockney.

@TeaCatherine I didn't get everything I wanted, but I wasn't really expecting to. I got chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, socks, scarf, scarf, tshirt, banket pancho thing that makes me look like that dark Kermit meme, Omori, Yowarai Night Alone, and 100% Orange Juice (The game, not the drink) but I'm grateful anyway. Esecially with the socks, cause they're really cute knee socks. And althought me and my brother never really did watch ToraDora, he did let me watch Shimoneta. And let me say, that show is a godsend. Also, can I show you the most British video you will ever watch?
