@ComfyAko
Here is something funny happened to me back in year 2017 compared with this year.
Before year 2017, I was so fanboy with Nintendo after I got Wii U in year 2016 and I was so negative with PS4 and blaming PS4 for not enough kids games on it. Well, during that time there was no games like Harvest Moon or Cooking Mama games or The Sims games or DDR games on PS4 so I blamed PS4 lack of those games. And I remembered I choose to defend my Wii U over than PS4 and will not buy PS4 for lack of kids games I want to play.
But situation started to change in year 2017 after I got new hype with Switch after the reveal in October 2016, when I browsed PS4 games from play-asia in my curiosity, suddenly I saw Final Fantasy XII for PS4 and I was really shocked and immediately I changed my mind to getting know more about PS4 games library after I was so fanboy with Nintendo. During year 2017, I started to build Switch games before purchasing the machine on 24 October 2017, but at the same time I started to purchase PS4 games after I found more PS4 games I could consider and the reveal of The Sims4 for PS4 in July 2017, it made me speechless, both excited and upset because I was really happy to get The Sims 4 on console but at the same time I was upset because why The Sims 4 on PS4 but not on Switch. So it made I purchased my PS4 games with half hearted feeling because my hype with Switch still eclipsed my interest with PS4 games. In June 2017, I purchased Portal Knights PS4 and it was the first time I tried game with Minecraft vibes but in better graphics. Before that, I really don't like with games that look too Minecraft, literally I never like Minecraft for too blocky characters / things but Portal Knights and Dragon Quest Builders are my first introduction of better looking Minecraft style games in year 2017. Literally I started to play my PS4 games by rent on my game shop owner place. I borrow his PS4 machine by playing my PS4 games on his game shop place and I only played every 1 week with duration about 1.5 - 2 hours since his PS4 machine sometimes will be used to test PS4 games from the customers who purchased from his shop.
After I got my Switch machine on 24 December 2017, my hype with Switch started to rise. In year 2018 I picked more Switch games and at the same time I purchased PS4 machine in April 2018 so I can play my PS4 games at home without keep borrowing PS4 machine from the game shop owner. During that time, even I have purchased PS4 machine but I still have some saltiness with PS4 because FF XII, FF X/X-2, Portal Knights and The Sims 4 were the reason I purchased PS4. Fast forward, after I watched Nintendo Direct in year 2018 that revealed about World of Final Fantasy, FF XII, FF VIII and FF IX on Switch, I was over excited and I started to have feeling to unconsider my PS4 games if the games get ported to Switch version.
In year 2019 my hype with Switch was really on fire. I started to sell my PS4 games once I got the Switch version like FF X/X-2, World of Final Fantasy, Overcooked 1, Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles in year 2019. Some controversial news about PS4 and Sony during year 2018 and 2019 really provoked me to sell my PS4 if The Sims 4 get ported to Switch. I have been waiting for EA presentation in July 2019 when they discuss about The Sims 4. I thought EA will reveal The Sims for Switch but it was wrong. The Sims 4 on console will get more DLC stuffs only on PS4 and XBOX ONE, it will never have Switch version. I realized if The Sims 4 will not get ported to Switch and I felt really brokenhearted.
At the same time I realized I made a huge mistake by selling my PS4 games until three games left (Portal Knights, The Sims 4 and FF XII TZA) because I was provoked by Switch ports from PS4 version and I was so dumb to think again my action by selling my favorite games due to fanboism attitude. Right after my brokenhearted feeling, I started to buy The Sims 4 DLC and treat my PS4 nicely like I have no saltiness with my PS4 and I started to rebuild again my PS4 games by repurchasing the games I have sold as I really regret to sell them. In December 2019, I have a chance to get PS3 machine and I started to build PS3 games in late December 2019. It was my biggest redemption to able purchase PS3 machine after I failed to buy PS3 machine in year 2014 and I have to sold all my PS3 games due to financial crisis in year 2015 before even I successfully purchased PS3 machine. I was so relieved to able get PS3 machine.
During year 2020, I was so hyped with PS3 as my big redemption so I quickly build my PS3 games with Ratchet & Clank games, Sly Cooper games, a lot of kids games I can get from my country Indonesia and during pandemic, suddenly my hype with Switch was decreased like I only purchased 4 Switch games in year and Animal Crossing New Horizons was the only Switch game that relive my hype with Switch again. At the same time, my hype with PS4 started to grow again after more and more kids games on PS4 and it made me so happy to see PS4 games library now look better than before year 2017.
In year 2021, my hype with PS3 was still on fire, my hype with PS4 was grew bigger but my hype with Switch started to fade as I rarely purchase Switch games again in year 2021.
I started to show some interest with PS5 games in year 2021.
Situation get upside down in year 2022 when my hype with PS4 suddenly get boosted as I purchased more and more PS4 games as I found more interesting PS4 games to pick, my hype with PS3 still on fire but not as big as last year, I started to purchase PS5 games in July 2022 for future investment since PS5 machine was still really expensive. My hype with PS5 also really boosted and before end of year 2022, I have written almost 50 PS5 games I want to buy and it was really great choices.
But, my hype with Switch during year 2022 was getting down and down as I have sold some of my Switch games in October 2021 (BOTW, xenoblade 2, super bomberman r, street fighter 30th anniversary) and some Switch games in year 2022 (I sold my Super Mario 3D All Stars in March 2022) as I felt disappointed with some Switch games I have. The last Switch games purchase before July 2022 was my last straw when I found the Switch version of the same games have downgraded quality and at some point, I couldn't sugar coat anymore. I still keep the last Switch games purchase but I made some changes decision about 3rd party multi console games. From now on, my Switch games library will only consist 1st party + 3rd party exclusive on Switch + 1st / 3rd party remastered from other Nintendo games.
And for my PS4 & PS5, they will get 3rd party multi console games as they really depended on 3rd party games by 99%. Right after I made that decision, I started to avoid getting 3rd party multi console games on Switch. Instead, I will getting them on PS4 or PS5 as I don't want to get half baked games on Switch anymore.
Well, such a roller coaster my gaming experiences with Switch and PlayStation games from year 2017 to year 2022.
I have changed a lot in term of picking the games. Now I become more open with the games I have never played before but I still maintain my strict gaming rules by only play kids games and certain Teen games, no rated M games whatsoever as I really hate disgusted gritty stuffs from rated M games.
Sorry for wall of texts.
Hope you don't mind to read my gaming journey.
@Anti-Matter I don't mind at all, it was pretty funny and interesting to read! I'll share some of my gaming stories the tomorrow or the day after tomorrow since It's really late here. What stood out most in your story is how you treated the consoles and the news about them. I actually don't really care about such stuff and I always consider the game on case to case basis. Switch has the portability, PS5 has next to no loadings and the gorgeous graphics. If the game isn't that super pretty to make the difference ->Switch. If framerate issues and whatnot -> PS5. I'm not a big fan of graphics and I mostly play the 00s, nintendo games and indies (because I deem them the most game'y games out there ) but it's really nice to see some eye candy like the newest Ratchet and Clank. Also, Sims 4 on Switch would be a dream, but I doubt the console would handle it. I always prefered Sims on PC due to the mouse. Ever since the Sims 1, which I still consider the best of the bunch.
Games generally aimed at younger audience are becomming better and better, I still remeber those horrible ps1 and ps2 cash-grabs that would only recap the movies badly.

Yeah, there are a lot of games tied to movies during late 90's and early 2000's era with very limited hardware on consoles so a lot of games tied to movies have mediocre game contents, from how did they deliver the story line in game version but still maintain from the movie version, because due to limited hardware of PS2 / Gamecube / Wii era, some of the games look really dreadful compared with the movie version.
@Zuljaras Nice, I thought it looked familiar. Thank you! And thanks for the suggestion. I think it still looks great in black and white, but I may consider putting color in my drawing sometime. I think it would look great in color, too - I have some colored pencils myself.
@ComfyAko Thank you! I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Yep, whenever I draw, I tend to do it the old-fashioned way, lol. It's how I've drawn for some time now, and I took a drawing class that taught me how to draw still-life objects. Much of my drawing is from still life, as well.

@Anti-Matter I don't think it was due to the technical limitations, more like budget issues. It wasn't profitable to put a bigger budget into a game that was already costly due to licensing, and it would still sell even if it was not that good.
@MarioLover92 that's good, still life is a brilliant practice with shape, proportions and composition. I've been struggling to draw for some months now but nothing worth showing yet.
Hiya everyone... Merry Christmas! 🚂 Have a wonderful day with loved ones. Bit random but I tried out VR with my family and oh man... I REALLY like it, I wanna snag me a headset some day. 😎 Been a while since I've been around here on the ole cc thread hey.. Happy Holidays 💖
How would you go about selling a game code? I got a PS5 for Christmas and the god of war one was the only one available. I don’t play M rated games so it has no use for me.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and holiday! My Christmas was great - I had some nice family time and I got some cool presents, like some Switch games, and even the Sega Genesis Mini 2. (I seriously didn't think I would get it!) Of course, I gave some nice presents as well, 'cause I'm a nice guy.
@DreamlandGem Merry Christmas to you as well! I hope you had a wonderful day. If you're interested, I posted my Christmas drawing a couple days back in this thread, though I somehow forgot to tag your username. My bad!
@ComfyAko Oh I agree for sure. It really allows you to train your eye and notice small details while you're drawing figures and stuff like that. Same thing with painting. Though, that does cause me to overthink things while I'm drawing, lol. Ah gotcha, I should draw more often, honestly. It's been too long since I last drew.
@Eel Merry Christmas to you too. To list a few gifts of mine, I got some Switch games like Splatoon 3 and Persona 5 Royal - I was gonna play Splatoon 3 first, but the update was taking a good while to install, so I played P5R to pass the time. I even got the Sega Genesis Mini 2. Hope your Christmas/holiday was awesome!

@MarioLover92 Yeah, it's hard not to feel overwhelmed when you just start drawing/painting. I watched so many tutorials, made so many notes like "do the same thing 20 times with small changes (iterative drawing)" to learn faster but when I actually get to open Krita I just... "ok let's paint the same thing (character standing from 3/4 perspective) for the 921464764th time. Start drawing you're out of time STARTDRAWINGNOW".
I feel like I turned it from fun into a chore just because I wanted to git gud fast. Now I'm unconsciously avoiding it altogether.
