@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Ah, Magalore.... Definitely an interesting character. I recently encountered him for the first time in Return to Dream Land.
@Anti-Matter I may try Star Allies eventually, though it isn't a main focus of mine right now. As for Return to Dream Land, new copies are pricey here in the US, but I found a used version of rja game for a fairly decent price. I'd wait for the Switch version if I were you though. I bought the game secondhand and played through it literally right before the Switch announcement. XD
I've played a couple of other 2.5D platformers here and there. I also like the Donkey Kong Country games.
@MarioLover92 I highly encourage you to finish those other DKC games you mentioned when you get the chance. ESPECIALLY Tropical Freeze. I think it's the best of the bunch thanks to QoL improvements. Glad you did revisit XC1 and beat that boss! That game is amazing. I've got a lot of my gift wrapping done, but I'm still waiting to secure a present... hopefully today.
As much as I like CGI when it's done well, in terms of animation I prefer hand drawn work. The former is faster and cheaper, sure, but I quite like the care, uniqueness, and workmanship that comes with hand drawn cartoons. New or old, there's certainly a lot of character (pun intended) that comes with the art form.
Keep in mind the earlier sales are usually digital. Thinking on it again, I might wait too. Usually their titles get a hefty physical discount at one point or another too. I also would rather focus on games I have. Thankfully, there aren't many games I want day one for the next while barring *Tears of the Kingdom". I'm interested in other titles, but they can wait lol.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Thinking about it more, man did those girls have issues, but that what made the show great, all the characters had, well, character, and had flaws.
@MarioLover92 Glad you had a good weekend! If you're a Disney fan I def recommend it. Few bugs here and there but nothing major, I'm really hooked on it at the moment haha
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Oh, there are a TON of videos regarding video game and tv show innuendos out there lol. I had to look up the Kirby one you mentioned. Ironically I've played the game the "naked lady" is found in, but I'd never seen the full map for the level in question until now.
@Tyranexx Thanks for the encouragement, I'll try to remember to come back to them. Yeah, Tropical Freeze is such an awesome game, so I'd like to finish it at some point. Glad I finished that boss in XC1, I went back to the area I left off in, and fought some enemies to get some more EXP. It took me a few tries to finish that boss fight, but I persevered. Best of luck on securing that present, I'm pretty much all done with Christmas shopping for my family. Now I just have to wrap them!
Honestly, I like hand-drawn animation more as well. It feels like there's a lot more effort put into hand-drawn animated features in general, and I find them more charming, too! It does help that I have a lot of nostalgia for hand-drawn animated movies, since we had a lot of Disney films on VHS when I was much younger. I do like CGI when it's done well, too. The more recent Disney movies like Tangled and Frozen pull it off very well IMO.
Gotcha. Digital can be a good option for me, though it depends on the game. Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to Tears of the Kingdom, as well. I just want to finish Breath of the Wild first, since it is a direct sequel.
@DreamlandGem Ah OK, nice! I'll be sure to pick it up from the eShop at some point. Yes I'm a Disney fan, and I've spent so much collective time on some Animal Crossing games. New Leaf and New Horizons, more specifically. Glad to hear that you're enjoying it!

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Tomorrow’s gonna suck. We are taking one of our cows to the butcher. I don’t really get attached to the cows we have, but it was really hard feeding them tonight knowing that it was gonna be her last meal. The last time i felt like this for it was when I had to go with my dad to deliver a bull we had. Luckily I don’t have to deliver the cow this time, but I still feel like crap when I think about it. Probably the only thing I truly hate about raising cows is this.

Thought I'd get into the Christmas spirit like a lot of other people on here already with probably the most Christmas-sy Pokemon of all! Plus Iron Bundle is absolutely cracked competitively so Delibird been in discussion a lot more than usual

@TeaCatherine I'm actually aiming to get a shiny one on either Christmas Eve or Day now that I finally have the Shiny Charm in Scarlet (already managed to snag a shiny Noibat with it). I'm heading on a long car trip in a few days so that should be the perfect time!
@Fizza Oh, any idea what the shiny form looks like? I'm not really into Pokémon any more but I'm still partial to an occasional shiny hunt, although so far my collection only has two proper shinies (Golduck and Rookidee and I'm on the hunt for a shiny Galarian Zigzagoon.)

@Fizza Okay, that meets my basic requirement for shinies. (I ask you, is there anything worse than a shiny that is just a slightly shade of the same colour?)

@TeaCatherine Absolutely not. I find value in even the most garish of colour palette swaps (Kantonian Tauros, Espeon, Dragonite, etc.) since they are at the very least immediately recognisable as being different. Subtle changes though? I mean they can definitely work don't get me wrong (the only change on Umbreon is that the rings change from yellow to blue and that's one of the best shinies ever created) but more often than not they are almost indistinguishable from they're base counterparts and, when the entire point of a shiny is to flex that you have have a much rarer variant of the same Pokemon? Having them be the exact goddamn same is infuriating.
Gen 9 especially is a terrible offender of this with examples such as:
(these two especially hurt me on a spiritual level) The shinies that are good in Gen 9 are amazing but the ones that aren't are downright atrocious.

@Fizza Yup, I completely agree with this, also yeah shiny Umbreon does work despite only changing the colour of one small bit because it changes that small bit dramatically.
