@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Funnily enough, a good chunk of the teachers at my school were gamers. One even took the day off for Halo 2's release. Some said he was out for the day, all of us students, knew what he was up to.

Yeah, apparently me wearing a Jimmy Neutron shirt because it wasn't "age apporpriate" (lol, I read that in Jimmy's voice while typing) was why. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here in a Trolls shirt with Poppy jumping on it typing.

It's just always what I liked to wear, even if characters changed over the years. Various cartoons, video game characters, etc. Just always been something that made me, me. I'm glad fandom stuff is more acceptable nowadays.

Also, I'm pretty sensitive, so that teacher did upset me a bit.

@ComfyAko I agree with this, especially being someone who experienced this.

Thankfully, that teacher did eventually get fired.

@Sunsy lol justice. Teachers are a strange bunch. Everybody who came through the education system has some tales to tell about them.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika At least! Like my goodness, I wish he was a little considerate, it annoys me that someone like that gets as many clicks as they do.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Sorry, but you're the pleb here, I did not resort to insulting you, just your infantile sense of humour. You would not know true art if it whacked you on the head, you just delude yourself into thinking that such things are funny, because the alternative is admitting you have the sense of humour of a five year old.

Okay, sorry, I just wanted to come up with a retort.
Also, it's 11:11 here so, bye.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I haven't played Star Allies. From what I understand, that one is regarded as a very safe entry and more suitable to play with others. Many fans seem to hold other Kirby titles and especially Kirby and the Forgotten Land in higher regard. Those are only based off of secondhand impressions though; I've gradually been catching up on Kirby titles that are considered "essential" by many and am currently working on Triple Deluxe for 3DS.

...And yeah, Toy Story 4 was likely for money lol.

@Anti-Matter I don't know if we'll receive more numbered Toy Story entries, but the franchise is enough of a money maker that I doubt Disney will leave it alone anytime soon. They already created that spinoff Buzz Lightyear movie (Haven't seen it and have heard mixed opinions on it), so I think it's reasonable to suspect there will be others sort of like that. Granted, I thought they were done with entries after 3, but then 4 happened lol.

@MarioLover92 I actually didn't finish DKC1 until a few years ago. Kid me could never make it past the first few levels of Gorilla Glacier without losing all my lives. Some of those levels were devious, not to mention the save point is towards the end of that world....Plus, you couldn't leave to farm more lives if needed. 2 and 3 I did manage to beat, but there was a bit of restore point abuse with both of them. Only at the beginnings of levels though. That was to save me saving headaches again.

The Toy Story franchise is definitely worth a watch....At least the main films are. A lot of Pixar's Disney and standalone offerings are worth it too, though there are a few films I've missed like Luca. A Bug's Life is another great classic. I was obsessed with that movie at one point lol.

Yep, I was referring to the Super Mario Advance games. I admittedly don't have a ton of experience with them, but I knew enough even back then to know that I'd technically played those games before even if they had some enhancements and QoL improvements. The GBA was a popular platform, so I'm surprised Nintendo never created an original 2D Mario game for it either. As a teen, I mostly just stuck with franchises I was familiar with, didn't seem too kiddy, and fell for some of the ultra-realistic/edgelord stuff (AKA the Halo and CoD franchises) briefly before realizing how soulless they were. On Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection: Yes. So much yes. I want this collection soooo bad.

@Sunsy I need to properly watch the other Despicable Me films at some point. I don't often watch movies these days unless they're in theaters though. I often prefer to use my limited spare time to game or read....Key word is limited since I don't have a ton of time these days.... Sing was a decent movie, but I think Sing 2 was actually slightly better. The first movie was unfairly criticized at times because it released the same year as Zootopia and was seen as a copycat IIRC.

Ah, pizza....The perfect complementary movie food. Along with drinks, popcorn, and some forms of candy. ^___^

@DreamlandGem I saw that there's some recent posts in the gaming memorabilia thread, I'll be sure to get some good pics of my amiibos and stuff sometime. I'll tag you in it if you want.

@Sunsy Nice, that's cool. There are the Vanilla Lake tracks as well, those are perfect for the holidays! It definitely was cool he had the SNES, and that's kinda how I got the Nintendo 64 as my first console later on. I wonder how different I would have been if he had the Genesis instead, lol. Or even the original PlayStation.

Dang, that's a long time for the update to finish. I don't remember how long my update took, but it was definitely a while. I eventually bought a better router for our home, too, so that must have been our old router or something. Our internet is generally pretty good, at least most of the time. The 3DS outages affected the Wii as well? I don't remember that actually... I must have forgotten about it after it happened.

I remember when you mentioned that teacher of yours... similarly, in middle school, I've had a home room teacher who, at times, wasn't too kind to me and some others. I'm also pretty sensitive, so some of those school days got rough for me. My college days were so much better, at least. Many of my professors were cool to me.

@Tyranexx Oh I see, yeah, Gorilla Glacier's a tough world for sure. I especially remember the level where you're blasting from one barrel cannon to the next. Yeah, that's how I normally use restore points as well, for games like this. It depends on the game, I guess.

Luca is on Disney+ if you have access to it, I do recommend giving it a watch. Me and Sunsy both loved it! That's cool, I've watched A Bug's Life quite a few times as well. One thing I remember was that every VHS copy had a different character on the cover. Our copy had Dot right on the front.

I've put in a fair amount of time into the SMA remakes, though I found myself playing the originals and the All-Stars versions a lot more. I should play more of SMA4 at some point, I've beaten a good amount of e-Reader levels in it already. I want that collection so badly too... it's been a while since I've played the Battle Network games so I may be a little rusty when I come back to them. I did hear it's gonna have online multiplayer, though I don't think it's crossplay.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Hah, fair enough. I wouldn't say Star Allies is the WORST Kirby game; that topic is highly subjective depending on who you ask. I haven't played it so can't really comment on it besides hearsay. There are so many Kirby games that I'm only interested in trying the "better" main series games by consensus for now.

@MarioLover92 I played the Snow Barrel Blast level in Gorilla Glacier so much that I almost still retain all the muscle memory for that level lol. It's one of my favorite snow levels in all of gaming, not the least of how Rare rendered the ever-darkening background as the oncoming snowstorm rolls in....

I admittedly don't really use streaming services, though I'd certainly like to try a free trial of Disney+ soon to catch up on some of the exclusives on that service. I...actually didn't know that about the VHS copies of A Bug's Life. Wish I could remember what was on our copy....I should check if my parents still have the tape.

I think I'll stick with the original and All-Star versions of the SMA games. Even with the e-reader levels introduced in SMA4 lol. I don't feel like I'm missing too much there. I don't know if I'll buy the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection day one, but it'll be fairly close lol. It's one of my favorite series from childhood. Not quite a top tier RPG series, but they're pretty far up in my book. There will be online functionality, but unfortunately no crossplay between different system architectures.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I had a teacher that didn't accept certain ways of writing letters and on mendeleyev table test he randomly gave me an F instead of A because despite everything being correctly, I chose to write them in the most readable font instead of whatever his personal preference was

Starting on next year 2023, I will prepare myself to set my heart by return of playing MaiMai Arcade at my local Game Arcade as I felt DDR hype in my hometown has been gone since pandemic and I knew nothing is eternal and if someday I have to move on from DDR Arcade (but still playing DDR at home), I will continue my passion as Rhythm gamer by playing MaiMai Arcade as the only rhythm machine I have higher hype than other rhythm game arcades after DDR.
Moreover, the newest MaiMai machine featuring some songs from my favorite artist that previously working on Konami as DDR BEMANI artist such as Naoki Maeda.
That was really huge deal for me and I will find out which local game Arcade in my hometown have the newest MaiMai Arcade machine.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Isn't it so so awful when a series gets cancelled on a cliff hanger? No resolution, no ending, no nothing. Gaaaaaaaaah.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I'm pretty nonplussed about it but that's probably just because I'm not really into animated movies. From what I remember Shrek was pretty good, but I didn't really like the puss in boots film.
