@Snatcher Yeah, like said before, spoilers can really kill an experience for me. All the surprise is gone so you can never have that genuine reaction to an event that you would’ve had if you didn’t know anything. Reminds me of how during sun and moon it felt like everything about the region was pretty much already revealed in trailers and it took a lot of the excitement away. With story heavy games it’s always a fight to dodge spoilers while also wanting to engage with the community a bit.
I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.
@EllaTheKawaiiNeko That's not the worst news imaginable. If anything, this is a great opportunity to watch it for the first time, something I will never achieve again
Gotta check out other recommendations, even though my backlog is filled to the brim already
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
@DreamlandGem You're very welcome! Similarly, I have a pretty sizeable Mario collection as well. I can't get enough of Nintendo's famous mascot, lol! Out of curiosity, do you have any favorite Kirby games? I have the most nostalgia for Kirby 64, but I also really like Kirby's Adventure and Super Star. Forgotten Land is fantastic, as well.
@Sunsy I agree for sure, glad you were able to hop on in for some races! That does sound like a cool memory you've got as well. Just curious, was the SNES your first console? The SNES was the first console that I've played since my dad had it. Ironically, we didn't have Super Mario Kart back when it came out, I started out with Mario Kart 64. Though I did get SMK later on, it was the Player's Choice reissue.
That reminds me of when the Wii U came out, there was this post launch hardware update that took a long time to install. I thankfully knew about this before getting it on Christmas, and I played my 3DS to pass the time while my then-new Wii U installs the update. That's cool your mom let you download the update before unwrapping the game.

Favorite games: Super Mario 3D World, Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Playing: Hollow Knight
Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@MarioLover92 Aw really, I'd love to see your collection! Not sure if there's a collection thread here, if not starting one might not be a bad idea!
My top Kirby games are Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Adventure Wii (maybe hold out for the remake coming soon if you haven't played it yet though) Planet Robobot, Triple Deluxe and Forgotten Land!
@MarioLover92 Sure was fun. Yeah, the Super NES was my first console. I remember getting it for Christmas, and wow, now that I think about it, Super Mario Kart is as much of a Christmas game for me as Sonic 1, Sonic 3D Blast and Super Mario All-Stars. It's cool your dad already had one too.
The Wii U had such a big update when I got it. In my old place, we only had 3Mbps DSL... it took 2-3 hours to download before I could even play it. Thankfully the Internet is a lot faster where I live now, so that's no longer an issue. Not sure about if the old town I lived in got faster Internet. Funnily enough, the older system helps pass the time. I remember the 3DS outages affected the Wii too, lol. Yeah, it's fine as I know the game I'm getting anyway, had to help mom pick it out. Her eyesight isn't great, and multi-platform games look the same boxart wise. Right now, the update and included DLC is downloaded, and the wait begins.
@Dogorilla Same person actually did Toad singing All I Want For Christmas Is You, lol.
@Eel This was the only message I saw when I originally clicked into this thread and I genuinely thought we were talking about Pokemon for a second. Tatsugiri basked in Smoliv oil anyone?

@Eel I didn't use vinegar, nor did I add fillings. The recipe I followed only called for furikake, rice, and nori. My entire kitchen still smells like the ocean. I've decided that nest time I use this recipe, I'm gonna replace Furikake with umeboshi goma shio. I chose a recipe that didn't have filling specifically cause I can't stand fish. I heard that you can fill Onigiri with spicy tuna, i might try that next time, as tuna is the only fish I will eat. My hands also smelled like fish for a few hours cause I had to shape the Onigiri with my hands. And the Onigiri was really small cause I'm asmall person and my hands weren't a very good size for Onigiri, so instead of making 12 Onigiri, I made 16 cause my hands were way too small for the traditional size.
Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Murin!

@Fizza The Pokémon world may seem innocent but how do they get their food, huh?
Also, hope you recover soon.
