@ComfyAko Welcome! His interests are technology, anime, games, and such. Also, my mom said if I can comfirm Meijer has the stuff, she might be able to take me to Meijer to get the ingredients. So I might still be able to make him a Japanese dish for his birthdya. Neither of us has had any Japanese food before, and we both wanna try it. So I might as well make Onigiri as a dinner side dish or something.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko oh, that sounds delicious! Yeah, for a low price gift, homemade food sounds like a really good choice. Anything good enough for a present in technology, anime, and games might be a bit over the budget here. Never had onigiri, but I know what it is and it sounds simple enough to make.
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
@ComfyAko It's simple to make, just the ingredients aren't in the average USA household. For Onigiri you need 3 ingredients. Sushi rice, furikake, and nori. It's normal to have sushi rice, we just don't have any.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika
Hopefully we get a new game next year. I might be in the minority on this, but I hope it is 2D.
Also the tutoring part was a joke, just to be clear.
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika When I first played New Super Mario Bros., it was my first Mario game in many years; I hadn't played a lot of the handheld Mario titles before that point outside of a borrowed version of Super Mario Bros Deluxe, and I also didn't have access to a N64 or GameCube as a kid outside of demo units. NSMB was quite a novelty, and I actually enjoyed the game and graphics despite playing it near the end of the DS's tenure. NSMBU was fun, but safe; it didn't really add much other than the new Mario form. I never grabbed NSMB2 due to the overemphasis on coins, and I skipped NSMB Wii when I had the chance to grab it secondhand for a great price not too long ago.
I love that level in your screen shot from Tropical Freeze, by the way. I'll need to dust off my Wii U copy soon.
@MarioLover92 Yeah....Unfortunately I didn't learn what happened until sometime after the fact. This was several years ago too. I probably would've tried tinkering with the SNES, or at least selling the games and giving them the profits if they didn't want them (and buying DKC and SMW if they had still worked. ). I played the rest of the Rare DK trilogy not too long ago, and I do agree that DKC2 is the best. All three are great though.
On Toy Story - The first movie is one of my favorite Disney movies, though all four are certainly worth watching. I'm not entirely sure if a fourth movie was needed though lol. Parts of the game were difficult - the reception section on the game's Wikipedia page back this up - but I had quite a fun time with it. I think I made it as far as either the gas station level or Pizza Planet back in the day.
I've heard about the infamous Mario Is Missing but haven't played it. I might look up some gameplay now. XD I'm positive that the only reason they owned Captain Novolin is because two out of three of those cousins are type 1 diabetics. I ended up getting pretty far in the game, but the hit boxes for the enemies were bleh. Not to mention kid me had no clue what I was reading half the time since I wasn't diabetic and therefore knew little about the medical terminology.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Funnily enough, the reason I got the original NSMB was a lucky Christmas mistake on my grandma's part. I had more time and less games back then, so I asked for NSMB2 as a gift. She goofed, and I ended up with NSMB instead. I'm so glad that happened in hindsight. It was pure 2D Mario, and I enjoyed a lot of the minigames too. The only negative to the latter is some of them were recycled from Super Mario 64 DS, which I played not too long after. They were old news by that point and are partially why I don't hold that version of the game in high regard. Unfair I know since SM64 DS came first.
