@Tyranexx Gotcha, yeah that does sound like that game's rough around the edges. IIRC, it was rushed for the holiday season back in the day. Ah I see, yeah I'm not too into playing games with a keyboard, unless it's a shooter like Doom, for example. Most games I play, I just use the tried-and-true controller. I actually did play a real Atari 2600 at an uncle's house when we visited around the 2000s. He had quite a few games for it, and it was the oldest console I've played. Same here with the NES, especially. My dad had the SNES back in the 90s, and I was pretty much a tot when the SNES and Genesis/Mega Drive were current, lol. So I did get to try out his SNES games when I got a bit older, maybe when I was 4 or 5. Yes, my birthday is on next month! I hope so too - maybe an announcement trailer for the next 3D Mario platformer. Perhaps Peach and Rosalina could bake a sweet, magical cake for me, too.
I've had fond memories of playing Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars as a child, too. I didn't finish them until later, though I did beat Super Mario Bros. 3 via SMAS when I was 12. Lost Levels is really, really tough, and it takes a lot of willpower to finish. Yep, absolutely - Cape Mario has some truly powerful flight capabilities.
