@Tyranexx Ah yeah, I've heard of ET for the 2600... it's infamous for being touted as one of the worst games ever made. I never played it, but I did see some YouTube videos about the game. Needless to say, it doesn't look very fun, lol. Yep, I do remember you're a few months older than me, and I'll be 31 next month... and in other words, the next year! I'm a proud 90s kid too, and yeah, I wish I could've experienced the mid-to-late 80s as well, especially with Nintendo being mega-popular at the time. Also would've loved to have and play Super Mario Bros. 3 when it was brand new back in 1990.
Yeah I agree for sure on a potential SMB2 remake. Super Mario All-Stars was one of the first games I've played, probably the first one I've played. Super Mario World has always been my favorite 2D Mario game as well... it might also be my overall favorite game. I used to have trouble with Cape Mario when I was very young, but with a little practice, I pretty much mastered how to use the cape. It still blows my mind that I can use the cape to fly over entire levels, lol!
@Sunsy Rosalina and Luma together would make a great tree topper for sure, especially if they both light up. That's good, we all have our own favorite things, even if they date back to our childhoods. I've been into Mario since I was a child, and I still am today... I don't think that's gonna change at all. Hopefully that thing you're thinking of will come back to you.
I've been talking to @ChameleonBros about playing the next batch of Mario Kart 8 courses, we're planning on playing this coming weekend, and I'd like to have others like you, @Tyranexx, @WoomyNNYes, and @Fizza to join the fun if possible. If you're not able to make it, that's OK - same goes with anyone who's tagged or just anyone who reads this.
Love your Mario and Yoshi ornament! I can tell it's from a long while ago. Kinda surprised I didn't have that one back then, the oldest Mario ornaments I have are of Mario in a pipe with holiday lights, Princess Peach and Toad ice skating, and Yoshi wearing reindeer antlers. I think I got them sometime in the 2010s, or very late 2000s, don't remember when exactly.
Gotcha, that is cool you play those games during Christmastime. That reminds me, when I was decorating our Christmas tree, I was doing it with Mario snow level music. One of the tunes played was the snow theme from New Super Mario Bros. U. It honestly got me nostalgic for when I got my Wii U on Christmas, alongside Nintendo Land and NSMBU. Though, I kinda play whatever I want, lol. I can definitely see myself playing a good amount of Mario Kart this holiday, especially with the next wave coming out tomorrow.
@ChameleonBros Another round of Mario Party 2 sounds good to me as well!

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️

Thanks, Arceus is what I’ll go with. I was planning on it before I made the comment, but I wanted to make sure. Probably will buy Omega Ruby soon, before 3ds games get to expensive.
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG
Enos 1:15
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Aw thank you, I hope one day I can get something more powerful then a tablet to edit with, I literally just use free websites Lmao.
The artstyle looks so familiar! I have to read this!

@Kermit1Pineapple I've always liked the premise of Kiki's Delivery Service, but somehow never got the opportunity to watch it. Still not sure why lol.
@Sunsy I love the echoing cave bit in the Drew Carrey version. He's trying to insult the echo, and it insults HIM instead. XD
I would love for there to be a Ghibli Fest event of sorts that isn't too far away. I'd be willing to travel to a point, but only if it's within a couple of hours....Which isn't very likely unfortunately. I'm not insanely remote from civilization, but unfortunately a lot of the Midwest gets skipped over for...about everything. Except Chicago and occasionally Indianapolis or the Twin Cities in MN.
Sing 1 and Sing 2 are both decent films. Definitely hoping to get to most of the other Ghibli films someday! Besides what we previously discussed, I'd put Princess Mononoke and Grave of the Fireflies towards the top of my watch list.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Ooooh boy, if you think BotW is relatively empty - and in some areas, it can be sometimes - then you likely haven't experienced too many earlier 3D Zelda titles. I adore Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess, but their overworlds can be quite empty and bland sometimes. But they could certainly introduce more enemy variety in TotK. No complaints there.
@MarioLover92 I played it emulated in college; someone had gutted the inside of a real Atari 2600 and had inserted a Raspberry Pi with all the games loaded. They hoped to sync it to an Xbox controller for a more comfortable gameplay experience. They didn't have the controller configured quite right, so I used a keyboard. E.T. was rough. I'm not even sure what going on tbh. I really do wish I'd been able to experience both the NES and SNES when they were brand new and hit the masses. Not quite lol. Birthday next month then? Hopefully more Mario related things show up to help you celebrate!
I'm not sure which game came first, but I have fond memories of playing Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars in my aunt's basement. I never beat any of them back then - I've completed all of them since except The Lost Levels - but I made it quite far in some of those games. It took me forever to get Cape Mario's controls down, but similarly I was blown away when I learned I could skip huge parts of levels and find secret exits.
I appreciate the MK8D invite, but unfortunately I'm quite busy this weekend. Hope everyone has a great time!
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Eh, it’s not the end of the world, when it happen I will be happy, int he meantime I’m vary grateful for what I have, and fortunate enough to even have a apple of all things, so I will slog through.
