@Anti-Matter Honestly this thread moves so fast anymore that I mostly stick to responses only. Cute green guy you have there. Despite my gender, I'm not repulsed by most bugs or animals at all. We raised some caterpillars and watched them slowly change into butterflies in some of the classrooms of my youth. Never raised any personally however.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I probably would've ignored some of the bonus experience if I had known about that XC3 caveat sooner. I haven't played Elden Ring; I know it's an excellent game, but I don't own any supported platforms right now (My computer couldn't handle it). I'm also not into Soulslikes. I game to relax and only have limited time to do so. I've been lucky to get an hour in on weeknights lately.
Good at nuking threads, eh?
@Sunsy 'Tis the season for illness unfortunately. It's cooler, everyone is indoors more, and circulated heating and fall remnants of plants/allergens are in the air. I hope you manage to stay healthy.
All the Grinch movies are solid watches, and I recommend them to anyone reading this who hasn't seen them all yet. I'm overdue to watch the original one again TBH.
I appreciate my local theater for a lot of things, but unfortunately one-off screenings like for Studio Ghibli films don't happen. Not enough interest. The closest they get is with some seasonal kids movies, including a $1 summer program they have in the mornings for random kid films. Usually the more popular ones like Disney, Illumination, Pixar, etc. I want to eventually see all the Ghibli films, except maybe Earwig and the Witch. I've heard that was meh. Ponyo and Kiki's Delivery Service are on my list too! I also recall the ads for the latter years ago.
@Tyranexx Thanks, I hope so too. That's what I'm thinking, because last time I felt this way was in the summer from allergies. I'm just hoping it's nothing bad.
Yeah, they're all great! Hoping to watch the Jim Carrey one again as well.
Yeah, I think what I attended was called Ghibli-fest, at least that's what it was called according to the listing for the theater. That's exactly how I saw Trolls World Tour both times this past summer! They were both part of those kids and family friendly summer events. Really thankful for it, and hoping the same thing happens to Trolls 1 next year, I have the notification on via Fandango, lol. Yup, one theater also showed Sing, and the other Sing 2.
That's how I remember Kiki's Delivery Service, the old commercials for it. Hoping to see this one one day, hoping you get around to the other Ghibli movies too. The few I've seen, I liked so far.
@Kermit1Pineapple To expose that all the Whos down in Whoville, except Cindy Lou, were all jerks. Like holy cow, in the Jim Carrey Grinch, the Whos were nasty to him.
I do like Illumination's version better, there was some heart to it, and Cindy Lou Who was a master strategist who managed to catch The Grinch in a trap. I ended up liking The Grinch's backstory better in Illumination's version. Really looking forward to seeing it this weekend on the big screen. The first theater I saw Trolls World Tour in is showing it as a special event (with another theater showing it on the 12th too, as a backup plan if friend or I gets sick or something).
