Ok, I can't get over this. Limited Run Games e-mailed me to remind me to update my address if I changed my address. It was random enough that I wanted to check my account, but I tried to login, assumed I didn't remember my password after a few failed log-ins, asked to get a new one, and then it told me it didn't recognize my e-mail.
It didn't recognize my e-mail, when I just got an e-mail from them for my account that is under my e-mail. What?!
In other news: COME ON ENGLAND! Wiped the floor with Senegal.
You know I've had too much Pokemon exposure when I briefly read "Senegal" as "Smeargle".
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I didn't really burn out on the game for the most part since a lot of the side content was so compelling. Part of the reason I put off the rest of XC3's post-game was so that I wouldn't get burnt out and move on to other games, plus I reached the end credits at the beginning of October. That's a very busy month for me, so I don't usually game as much. I think XC3 got a lot of its class system right, but grinding them out in later parts of the game when you're overleveled is a chore; apparently, CP isn't awarded unless the monster(s) you're fighting are within five levels of a character. I didn't know that until WAY too late. I do hope TotK has more monster variety. BotW's variety isn't bad at all, but I do agree it gets same-y after spending a ton of hours in the game. Luckily, there are plenty of monsters in the Zelda canon that BotW didn't even use. ReDeads, Poes, Dodongos, Skulltulas, Deku Babas, Like-Likes, Pea Hats....
@Sunsy I'm glad your friend is feeling better! Plenty of sickness in my area too. 'Tis the season unfortunately. I'm currently pretty healthy.
The original Grinch movie is great, and I also quite enjoy the Jim Carrey adaptation. Then again, I enjoy Jim Carrey in general. But the Illumination Grinch movie clearly had a lot of care put into it. Howl's Moving Castle is another movie I need to watch at some point...as well as most of the other Studio Ghibli films. So far I've only seen My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away. I need to track down a DVD collection or something. XD Usually the theater isn't too packed when I go. My local theater has $5 Tuesdays, and that typically doesn't seem to be a very busy evening. Any shows before noon are $4.50, but I can't usually swing that due to work. Saturday mornings are too busy for my liking, otherwise I'd take advantage of the pricing then.
@MarioLover92 The video game industry kind of imploded on itself in the 80's due to over saturation and a lack of regulation I believe. Those infamous E.T. carts being stuffed in a landfill come to mind. I've played an emulated version of that game, and...yeah, it's bad. I wasn't around in the 80s either - I believe you and I are around the same age IIRC - but it's interesting to read about how things went down. I wouldn't change being a 90s kid for anything, but sometimes I wish I could've experienced at least the mid to late 80s lol.
Rosalina in a SMB2 remake would be amazing! Extra levels and some nice QoL improvements would be welcome too. I'd completely forgotten about the All-Stars version; I actually played that one back in the day. In fact, that Super Nintendo game was among my first Mario experiences, along with the NES original and Super Mario World. The latter is still my favorite 2D Mario title because I have WAAAY too much fun with Cape Mario. XD
