Luckily I am tall enough to stand in most hotel pools. Guess swimming lessons were for nothing.

@blindsquarel if it goes to my neck I panic. I can also reach the bottom of most hotel pools.

I’ve been looking at reviews of the outbound ghost, and this won’t be a day 1 purchase anymore. Probably going to wait for a sale.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Trust me, I usually don't bother with too many collectibles in games any more lol. Though there are some exceptions for a couple of my favorite franchises. I'm sure Sunshine is still a fun time regardless.

3rd party games are better played on PS4 / PS5 version.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Super Mario Sunshine is actually the only 3D Mario I haven't played since I missed out on the GameCube back in the day. Same with the N64 actually, but the Virtual Console and various ports have helped fill some of those gaps.

New profile pic since I'm starting to be in the holiday spirit! Did some more Christmas stuff, though I haven't got to the ornaments just yet. I just put together our Mickey Mouse train set around the tree, plus me and my mom saw a few classic Mickey cartoons right afterward. It's been a pretty fun night, and it got me in a good mood, too!

@Tyranexx Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. My mom's a huge fan of holiday/season decorating, as well! We'd have all those decorations in quite a few bins - I'm personally not super huge into most of them myself, though I still like decorating for Christmas. The stuff that I really like decorating with are my many, many Mario/Nintendo figurines, amiibos, among other things. Though of course, those are just in my bedroom and game room.

I had a hard time getting into Mario Kart Tour... I like some of its ideas and the alternate outfits for all the characters are cool, but the controls don't sit well with me. Plus I don't really care for stuff like microtransactions, and my current phone is not up to snuff with running the game. That's pretty much why I'm thankful that Tour's courses are coming to 8 Deluxe via the Booster Course Pass. I've played Super Mario Run as well, and I'd say it's the best Nintendo mobile game. It's not quite as good as say, Super Mario World, of course, but for a mobile game, it's great.

Oh, I keep forgetting to tell you. I finished Wario Land 3 fairly recently! It's a decent game I think, though as you may recall, I'm not too fond of needing to revisit levels a lot and stuff like that. There was one boss that especially frustrated me too. The rabbit guy who challenges you to a soccer match was insanely awful to deal with. Like, by the time I get him to the net a second after jumping/ground pounding on him, the goalie's like, "nope!" and I don't get the goal. Took me a good while to beat... hated that boss fight.

Used to be I valued the portability when I have my Switch in December 2017.
But as I found more 3rd party games on Switch get downgraded quality oftenly (30 fps vs 60 fps, textures, etc) I felt the portability is not really important for me as I only purchase the games once and I want the best version as possible after I felt regret with some 3rd party Switch games I bought have worse performance than the PS4 version for the same games I have (I played the PS4 version since then) and I started to stop playing the Switch version. Beside, during pandemic I played a lot my games tethered to TV (PS3, PS4, Wii, Wii U, PS2, PS1, etc) and less playing something portable. The portable games I can play are from NDS, 3DS, GBA, PSP so I got covered.
But I still give some games for my Switch collection, only 1st party and 3rd party exclusives on Switch, to spread out the games distribution between my PS4 , PS5 and Switch games collection.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika my brother hogs the Xbox Series and our Xbox One is mainly a Blu-Ray player now.

I'd play better graphics games but I honestly don't care I grew up with VHS tapes on a CRT I don't have a high bar.

@Fizza I didn't see your post, my bad! Would've loved to join, but I was a bit busy with Christmas decorating, and I still have more to do. Maybe next time - I'd love to play with you again!

It’s not performance that is the problem. It’s more to do with story, battling and characters. I still want the game, but I’m not as exited.

Apparently my brother in law was on the news. Nothing huge, he just said a few things in an interview about where he works ( some Christmas tree farm). Still cool though.

The thing Cape Breton is known for most is probably our giant fiddle. Why a fiddle, idk they look cool.

I need to watch it, but I won’t be able to until next week. My family got tickets to the Cardinals Vs Chargers game this weekend, so I will be in Arizona until early next week. The holiday special does seem like a good time though.

Can’t wait to watch it. Other than No Way Home, phase four has been pretty bad. The guardians movies are just fun to watch though.
