Happy late Thanksgiving to my fellow US folks. I meant to get to the forums yesterday but didn't manage it. Busy day between Thanksgiving shenanigans and being on shift to help look after my mom post knee replacement. Crazy week between her surgery, the aftermath, work, the holiday, and other goings on.
@Anti-Matter Yep, I've heard the FLUDD controls in Super Mario Sunshine aren't fun to deal with sometimes. Though it depends on who you ask. I'm willing to give the game a try at any rate, though I doubt I'll play it 100%. Sunshine is most of the reason I own Super Mario 3D All-Stars since I own or can play the other two games on it in other ways. Though it is nice having a "physical" copy of Super Mario 64; I've only played it through the Wii U VC.
I sort of agree on some of Nintendo's recent incomplete/unfinished releases - Nintendo Switch Sports should've spent longer in development, can't speak on the MK8D DLC yet - but Scarlet/Violet's technical faults are solely at the feet of The Pokemon Company and their constrained dev cycle. However, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was an amazing game and is my game of the year by a long shot.
@MarioLover92 Thanks! She's doing about as well as can be expected, though some of the meds aren't too kind to her. She's doing all the exercises she needs to, moving when she should be, and icing the knee when needed. It's been an insane week IRL; I haven't checked the forums since Monday. I worked half a day and managed to get some food prep done for the next few days, along with getting most of my Christmas stuff up and cleaning my house....It'll be awhile before that happened again lol. I admit I'm not familiar with most of those upcoming MK8D courses, though I've heard of a couple! I haven't played many games out of the racing series. I think I've went into that before.
@Sunsy I personally don't think you need to apologize for being absent; all of us have lives offline after all! I've also been very busy. Thinking about reducing my forum activity more than I already have tbh.
I can definitely relate to the feeling of being hemmed in by a large group of people. It's why I usually try to stay away from or between larger groups if possible. I'm glad you're able to be with people you trust.
Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving, and a good day in general. Been doing a ton of cooking yesterday, but it was totally worth it! I started decorating for Christmas today (right now I pretty much just have the tree and lights up), and my Raccoon Mario ornament finally came in the mail!
Hope everything works out with the ornament. Yeah, I usually shop for them through Hallmark, after all, they're the source for the ornaments. They ship pretty quickly. I ordered on Sunday and got a package today. Mostly a Trolls Itty Bitty of Barb, and got my mom a special ornament she's been wanting. So looking forward to giving her that this Christmas.
What a nice tradition. I've had Rudolph plushies I found in Target years ago, you press his chest and he plays music and the nose lights up. Since then, I put them on both sides of the living room TV. I also remember putting the Bumble and Hermey in between the DVD player and the Wii. This year, they're next to Rudolph and Clarise.
Ah, I knew about the Splatoon one, but not the other ones. It is cool it's clear. I'd like to point out if you shine a light over the right joystick, and look carefully through the clear, you can see a message that says "Thanks 2 Game Fans," or something like that.
Yeah, it's actually nice since it allows you to try what GOG offers. I've been wanting to get Miles and Kilo for some time too on 3DS, glad it was on sale. It looked like a fun platformer whenever I saw it on sale over the past few years. You're welcome.
Thank you, and it definitely worked out, because it finally came! It did come pretty quickly since I called Nintendo about how my order was stuck. Nice, and sounds like you're gonna make your mom quite happy with that ornament you got her.
Thanks, and that's cool. I'm not sure if the Rudolph plushes I mentioned before play music, but we do have a big snowman plush that does play music if you squeeze it.
Yep, I knew that about the pro controller, that is cool that they put that message there. It's a very solid controller overall, and my preferred way to play Switch games when I'm playing on the TV.
@Tyranexx Ohhh gotcha, that's too bad about some of her meds, but sounds like she's doing OK otherwise. I've been pretty busy lately too, the amount of Thanksgiving cooking I did with my mom was pretty huge, lol. But it was worth it in the end. I started Christmas decorating too, but I didn't make a lot of progress just yet. I only did the tree and lights, and the Noel letters. I'll do the ornaments next time, as well as the train set for around the tree. Yep I do remember that, so these courses will generally be brand new to you. Most of the ones from Mario Kart Tour have been new to me since I didn't play that game that much.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Ooh yes, I've heard about the infamous blue coins. I appreciate you warning me about the rest of that. I think I've heard of the infamous Poison River too. 😬
@MarioLover92 I should clarify, no allergic reactions or anything. They just aren't always playing nicely with her digestive system. She needs to make sure to eat something with most of them. Thanksgiving stuff was only with my immediate family yesterday; with mom's surgery and all, we just had a local restaurant do takeout plates for everyone. A full turkey dinner with all the sides you can think of lol. While I like Christmas, I'm not much of a decoration freak with...any season tbh. My mom always had way too many, so I think putting those up burned me out over the years. I don't often have visitors anyway, and outside of Christmas I don't usually bother with switching decorations out. More stuff to dust.
I haven't played Mario Kart Tour. I've heard the game is kinda meh but can be entertaining at times. The closest I've come on mobile is Super Mario Run.
I don’t think I am going to get any sleep tonight. We all have to share a hotel room and my dad is a very loud sleeper, to put it nicely. Thankfully this is a one time thing and we can check into a condo tomorrow.

@blindsquarel I think we need to just put our devices off and turn our brains off and sleep, after one more episode of Wednesday, then music, then staring at the wall.

Yeah, I’m throwing in the towel for tonight. It sounds like I’m in a bears cave right now. At least I will get a few hours when driving tomorrow.

I’m having fun with black and white, but the random battles are a bit annoying. Not that the battles are annoying, but it’s so inconsistent when you are actually going to battle.
