@Sunsy Eagles aren't too common around here, but red-tailed hawks, owls, and turkey buzzards are. So there are some other large birds floating around. Deer are still a decent sight. I also came across a possum while out on my property last night. It wasn't very happy to see me. Scared the poor guy I guess.
On Covid: Thanks! It was a mild case, no lasting effects that I know of. I had it about a month ago. That was despite some precautions and a booster shot even. I'd consider taste more valuable than smell at times, and there are some bad smells I'd rather do without lol. But it is nice to use it to pinpoint sources of an issue or to know what areas to avoid. I don't recommend going near some pig farms. XD Getting overwhelmed is no fun. Though for me that's usually triggered by stress, a form of claustrophobia I have (I don't do large crowds well), and a ton of loud noise. I've found concert earplugs can help with the latter.
At the end of the day, labels are like any other tool: they have proper uses, but can also be misused. While autism can be a defining label, it's a spectrum and should have an informative association, not a negative one. Stereotypes and media have played a role there, unfortunately.
Oh dear, my mom once saw a turkey buzzard on the way to work. Funnily enough, she recalled the story tonight.
Glad it was a mild case. Yeah, I really can't do well in crowds. I always feel like I would get lost and never find my way out, makes me really scared. Last time I went to a place with a big crowd, I held on tightly to the person I was with. I was really scared. A full theater, isn't a problem though since everyone has their own seat. I think the only full theater I was in was to see Sonic 2 and Frozen II. Also, the second Trolls World Tour showing I went to this past summer, was half packed. I guess a lot wanted to see this movie on the big screen, especially since Trolls World Tour's theatrical release was pulled last second before lockdowns.
Understandable, though this person used the word label negatively. Thankfully my mom doesn't side with this person, I talked to her about it.
@Sunsy Thank you! Yeah, I had to get that ornament set because of how cute it is, with the gingerbread theme! <3 There's even a cupcake as the steam stack, as well. We do have quite a few other Disney/train ornaments, and we have a full-on Mickey Mouse train set that I intend to use for around the tree, too. That's awesome you ordered the Raccoon Mario ornament. Oh that reminds me, I'm thinking of having a new stocking for myself too, one that's custom-made. I thought about it some months ago.
Yeah, Nintendo gave players a free glove for those control stick spinning minigames. Many players would get blisters from those minigames, so that's why they gave the gloves away. Ah yeah, those minigames won't be too kind to the joy-cons... my newest pair, which are the red ones, haven't drifted yet from my experience. Though I only used them for handheld mode, Captain Toad, and Super Mario Galaxy via 3D All-Stars. My original gray joy-cons have drifted, at least when I play docked, so I haven't used them for a long time. Especially since I got pro controllers, which feel so much better in comparison anyway, for the vast majority of Switch games at least. I should get my gray ones fixed at some point.
Oh that sounds great, yeah I did hear that GOG is pretty much DRM-free so I'd like to make an account at some point. That's cool, you've been into PC games for a lot longer than I have! I've played a fair amount of the Half-Life games (specifically 1 and 2), and I did finish the first Portal some years ago. I think I got a healthy amount of progress in Portal 2, though I likely got stuck in one of the later levels. Back in 2002-2004, I was quite big into stuff like Sonic and Crash Bandicoot, especially the former. I had so much Sonic games and other stuff when I was a kid, and I still have most of them now.
That's cool, I didn't play any of the Shin Megami Tensei games, but I did play a bit of Persona 4 Golden. I should play more of that at some point, though I did see that it's a pretty long game. That's the case with a lot of RPGs, which is part of the reason why I didn't finish most of the ones I play, lol. Gotcha, I haven't bought any Switch games yet, and I'm hoping to get the ones I want on Christmas. For now, I wanna buy stuff from the 3DS/Wii U eShops.
I agree for sure, and that sounds like a cool book you have. My college had a whole book on animated movies in the library, and that was a fun read. I remember it had reviews on many different movies, and screenshots as well. There was also a book about the Radio Shack Color Computer, which I've never even heard of until it caught my eye at the library.
That is really a nice set. Actually, my Raccoon Mario ornament came yesterday, along with a Trolls Itty Bitty of Satin and Chenille, two characters from the series. Hallmark had free shipping over $20, so I ordered the Trolls along with it. Sounds like a cool idea. I have a few stockings with favorite characters on them. One has My Little Pony I got years ago, the other has Poppy from Trolls. Also, I already set up Rudolph and Clarice in the living room, just because I found them while cleaning, so I set them out early.
I remember that news story. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on when I heard of it, I think was on the local news. Yeah, I remember ordering Joy-Cons while lockdowns were happening as Nintendo didn't do repairs then, in event mine drift. So I have red and blue ones as extras. Surprisingly they haven't. I mostly use a pro controller, and I have a Yoshi one with a wire, which I usually use for two player, or keep as an extra.
I think you'd like GOG, they specialize in PC classics, if you're interested in DOS games, it's a great place to go. The games even come pre-packaged with DOSBox. You played some really good games, both Half-Life games and Portal games are great. That's really cool. I remember between 2002-2006, I played a lot of cartoon tie-in games (loved Jimmy Neutron, also Hot Wheels World Race was a fun racer), but also PC games for stuff not on GameCube.
That's cool, I'm hoping to try a Persona game one day. I feel the same way, I love RPGs, but they do get long, so I have the tendency to play them on and off. This way I can enjoy other games too. That reminds me, I bought Miles & Kilo on 3DS the other day because of a sale. It's a platformer about a boy and his dog. I also got Silver Falls Undertakers, an Atari 2600 style game. I like it, even if the big pixel alien made me jump, lol. Gotta give credit to their developer, they been releasing 3DS stuff for the past few years.
That's very cool, those kind of books are always fascinating, especially when they go into behind the scenes stuff. I think I have an My Little Pony book that looks like a prop from the cartoon, and inside of it, is an episode guide for the first three seasons of Friendship Is Magic. Hoping to get the Trolls one one day, it will be fun looking at concepts for the movie, maybe even early artwork as they were based off the classic Troll doll. The hair is similar, though DreamWorks made them look cuter and gave them personalities.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Can confirm, they pandered to me. I feel like I'm the only one who liked the Pinocchio remake. Call it unpopular opinion, I liked it. So sorry if you disagree. The original is always best, but still loved this one and enjoyed seeing my favorite childhood Disney character back.
ngl, it was satisfying to see Stromboli get jailed, lol. Also, it was cool they used the alternate ending idea that was scrapped in the original 1940 movie.
Still need to see those two, loved Zootopia when I saw it in the theater. Actually, I mained Judy Hopps in Disney Infinity 3.0.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
My uncle tested positive for covid, and we had a family party on Sunday. Hopefully I don’t get it ( this is when being anti social comes in handy) but anything is possible. Not really worried about the virus itself, but it would make me miss a rodeo, and possibly a football game.
@Kermit1Pineapple
Mando is literally carrying Star Wars right now. I have no faith in Disney to turn things around though, since they couldn’t even get a character like Obi Wan Kenobi right. Hopefully the Ashoka series is good though.

I’m not vaccinated, but even so I’m not really that worried. I just don’t want to miss the next couple weeks of things. The only reason I think I may have it is that my sinuses are draining. But last time I got like this it was just a cold. We will see though, nothing I can really do but wait.

Thanks, I’ll be sure to update on if I am sick.( probably will spend a lot of time on here anyway if I am).
