Today was nice. Did some chores and played some Apex to check out the new map. After chores had a much needed quiet afternoon, I had on a livestream of someone playing DOS games, and as silly as it sounds, snuggled my Poppy plushie. Just needed some time to relax.

Disappointed I missed the moose shenanigans (I was watching. ), I made an avatar of Poppy with some MS Paint antlers, lol. Posted it, but deleted it after looking a few pages back about the thread getting locked. I get sometimes get busy, so it takes time to go through posts (I'll post the pic upon request, lol).

@Sunsy It's fun seeing wildlife in general, especially outside of a zoo or conversation center. Besides deer, the most exotic wild animals around are bobcats, bald eagles, and coyotes. The former two are pretty elusive though. There was a roaming mountain lion caught not too far from my states capitol recently though! They've been extinct from my state (IL) since the 1800s, but they very rarely wander through from other populations. This young male was caught and taken to a cat sanctuary of sorts in Indiana. Too much exposure to people I guess.

Yep, I'm pretty smell sensitive. When I had Covid for the first time recently, losing that and my taste would've tipped me off immediately. I never lost either my taste or smell thankfully. I've been told it's a weird experience. I don't know if I'm just naturally sensitive to smells or if it's just an adaptation I started to develop when my eyesight started getting worse lol. I...can relate to bring overwhelmed by certain things and admittedly didn't react to some situations well at all when I was younger. These days, I just withdraw from stressful situations and have ways to calm myself down. It's a process that takes a lot of practice.

I'm admittedly cautious when it comes to some types of labels. Some are very helpful, such as medical diagnoses, since they can help chart a treatment plan for those affected and inform those around them how to best meet their needs. Others, such as stereotypes (Ex. Nerd, dumb blond, etc.) are a lot less helpful and serve as a lazy mental shortcut. I also feel that there's a danger for someone to solely identify themselves by a certain label. At the end of the day, every human is a complex being that is MUCH more than any label slapped on them.

Nice! It's always nice to be able to see animals safely. I don't think I ever seen an eagle. I do remember visiting a zoo a few times when I was younger, aside from that, it's really just deer I see. Aww.

Sorry to hear you had Covid, hope you're feeling better. At least you can smell, my whole life, I just can't smell at all. Which is weird because I can still taste food. It's both a blessing and a curse, its good to not be able to smell bad smells, but it's hard to pinpoint where a bad smell is unless someone, like my mom, points it out. Yeah, overwhelming situations can be rough for me as it usually results in a meltdown. It's no fun to deal with too, but it's nice once I calm down. It's the only thing I don't like about autism.

Agreed, though this person mom knows considers autism a label, but at the same time doesn't understand it. It has more to do with other people calling me "autistic" or saying "I have autism," while ignoring it's part of who I am. Thankfully my mom doesn't agree with this person when I asked her.

@Sunsy Gotcha. I wanted to get the two ornaments early on since I like them, and I've had a tradition of getting a new ornament or two every year. Here's the picture of the Mickey Mouse train ornament (or ornaments, I should say) that I mentioned earlier, straight from Disney's online store. They're not out of the box just yet, since we don't have the tree up right now. @Tyranexx might like to see this, too!

I'll take pics of them on our tree later on. I don't have the Raccoon Mario ornament just yet, unfortunately. I will get a picture of it when it's delivered to my home.

Thanks! I didn't get too much further than that though, since there are a couple minigames that I couldn't quite finish. Tug o' War and Cast Aways. The former because I apparently can't spin the control stick fast enough (not to mention I don't want to break it by accident), and the latter since I have a hard time getting those dang treasure chests.

I still have yet to register for GOG, I should do that at some point. I didn't really get into PC games until much later on, besides the games I had for Windows 95/98 back then. I've always been into Nintendo, and the PS2 for a good while back in the 2000s.

I definitely like Tokyo Mirage Sessions, though I haven't finished it just yet either. I never got it on the Wii U, so the Switch version was how I first played it. Have you thought of playing one of the Persona games? I know TMS has a similar graphical style to that series, and I'd like to try out Persona 5 Royal once I get it.

Glad to hear, you're so welcome. Yeah I'm pretty knowledgeable on many of my favorite things as well, especially when it comes to many Nintendo games... even back to their Game & Watch days. There's also a history of Nintendo book that I have, that covers everything they've done before making it big in the gaming industry, including hanafuda cards and a variety of toys.

That is a wonderful tradition! That Mickey train ornament set is adorable! In fact, I ordered the raccoon Mario ornament last night, put me in the mood to play some Super Mario 3 yesterday afternoon.

You're welcome. So I take it it's the mini-game that requires the gloves back then to play? I can imagine the mini-game doing a lot more harm to Joy-Cons given they have a history of drifting (side note, I still have my launch Joy-Cons.... they haven't drifted yet, I blame using more traditional controllers).

I think you'll like GOG. Games have no DRM, once they're downloaded, you can back them up, install, and play them without Internet or online requirements. They also get classics working on modern PCs. I did play some games on Mac, and Windows 98 when we got a PC, but I started PC gaming in 2004, along with my GameCube. My favorite from that time period were Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Counter-Strike, Half-Life 2, Quake 3 Arena, and NFS Carbon. Often played games I couldn't on GameCube, or wanted to play online in (case with NFS).

Never did play any of the Persona games, I have played Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, SMT IV, and SMT V. Those games use the same weakness system as TMS, which makes sense as it was originally an SMTxFE crossover project, so similar gameplay elements. Hope you get to try Persona 5 Royal, I'm hoping to get one of the Persona games for Switch or PC. Problem is... tis the season, lol. Just in case I get one of them as a gift, I haven't bought any of the games yet.

That's great, that what makes hobbies and things we like fun. Not only enjoying it, but knowing a lot about said subject. That sounds like an awesome book. The only book I have like that is one to My Little Pony, had a lot of artwork and concepts used for Friendship Is Magic. I know there's also a Trolls one as DreamWorks usually does art books for most of their movies for enthusiasts.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Ok, I was watching the entire time, checking the thread on and off throughout the past two days. Anyway, I did this....

Thought it would be silly to do this. Knowing Poppy, she'd make it a moose party, lol.

Tagging @Kermit1.... moose!

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika It was, honestly, it made me laugh too. Truth be told, I haven't been on much last week as I wasn't having a good week. Hence why I decided to take time to relax today and yesterday. Yesterday did some much needed gaming and today was just a stream and a plushie.

Thanks to the moose shenanigans, it brightened up my day after going through a rather hard week.

@FroZtedFlake Thread basically went to moose.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Hope you get well soon. Glad to know the moose cult helped.

Wait, does this mean.... the moose has healing powers?!

Care to confirm this @Kermit1?

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Will do!

Thanks @Kermit1, if you're reading the thread, you know that the moose posts helped make my day better after a rough week last week.

@Sunsy
You missed to see my avatar became anthro kickboxer deer for a while before I changed back my avatar. I don't have anthro moose drawing but I have anthro deer.

Btw, do you play Story of Seasons style games ?
Because my hype is currently on Doraemon Story of Seasons PS4.
I have accumulated more than 25 hours gameplay so far, still working on making money in Autumn season year 1.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

Sunsy

@Anti-Matter Nope, I saw it. I was peeking at the thread on and off watching the moose shenanigans unfold.

Afraid I haven't played Story of Seasons. I wonder if my friend might play that one, he likes Doraemon. Haven't seen much about that series aside from a TV at a local Chinese Restaurant, it was showing a movie. Looked like a cute series.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika That's correct, I enjoyed the two movies, wanted to watch them being space related. I'm looking forward to the holiday special too. No I haven't. Personally, while I'm not big on superheroes, I have seen some movies (the original Spider-Man trilogy and the Thor movies), I also don't have HBOMax. I mainly have Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, and Disney+.

That opening felt like something seen in Guardians. I may not have HBOMax, but I'll ask my friend about it. He's into Marvel and DC, and maybe I could watch it with him when we get together as he has it. We often watch anime, cartoons, movies, shows together. That's alright, my mom actually liked John Cena's acting stuff. Will admit, I had a lot of fun with the MLP cameos in Playing With Fire. John Leguizamo's character was not wrong with what he said about MLP, lol.

@Sunsy also it’s recommended you watch The suicide squad 2021(not suicide squad 2016). It helps kickstart Peacmaker’s character development and is one of the Best DCEU movies that no one saw because it came out mid Covid. You’d be missing alot of key attributes of Peacmaker if you haven’t seen it. The suicde squad is also on HBO max. Because stuff happens to Peacmaker in Suicide squad really traumatized and changed him and sets the stage perfectly for a tv show

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika The Holiday special should be a fun time. It's nice to have one to look forward to too, Trolls Holiday In Harmony was last year's I looked forward to. NGL, Holiday In Harmony is possibly the best fan service any Trolls fan could ask for. (Actual special spoilers) Branch makes Poppy a scrapbook that showcases moments from the past two movies, Poppy kisses Branch on the cheek, and the balloon actually says "Team Broppy all the way," the fan name for the ship. Plus, two trolls from the 2D cartoon TrollsTopia, Holly and Val, make appearances marking the first time 2D characters appear in 3D, and to top it off, Mr. Dinkles has an actual monologue you have to pause and read.

I mentioned it to my friend when he called, he mentioned to Suicide Squad first. Maybe we'll both watch it together. We love sharing shows and movies we like and watching them together. We got each other into different things because of it.

@Kermit1 Yeah, I was having a really rough week last week (not getting into it because personal), I took Sunday and yesterday to rest and recuperate. I was peeking onto the thread on and off, even if I wasn't posting.

Tried finding a Trolls picture with a moose, so ended up MS Painting some onto my Poppy avatar, shown above (or previous page as a new one started), lol. Funnily enough a company called Moose is making Trolls toys for fall of next year...

...oh dear, I mean, oh moose. The moose is providing Trolls.

@TeaCatherine So... is the war still happening? Also, I like how someone said the chit-chat thread got off topic.
