@TeaCatherine Oh, then yeah, I have a second name too. And my brother is nice. He's 19 years old, going on 20. He turned me into an anime and visual novel freak. We watch anime and play games together all the time. He tells me what anime I can and can't watch. Though, he's been less strict ever since I watched Happy Sugar Life. Oh yeah, Happy Sugar Life could be considered a yuri, just a really sad yuri. But read the manga, it's better. Either way, I love my brother a lot. He has autism, and he memes the fact that he does, which I find kinda funny. He is the memelord, all of his memes are great.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Ah, so about two years older than me then. Your forum signature is to do with Stein's Gate, right? Any examples on the meme front?

Currently playing: Metal Gear Solid

EllaTheQueen6

@TeaCatherine Yes, my forum signature is a Steins;Gate refference. And no, I don't currently have any examples on the memes. But you play/watch Steins;Gate?

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Not yet, but I'll probably get it after Christmas. I've got presents to get for my four sisters and one brother.

Currently playing: Metal Gear Solid

EllaTheQueen6

@TeaCatherine 4 sisters and one brother? What a coincidence, I have 4 brothers and 1 sister.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Wait, what? From the way you were speaking I assumed you only had one brother.

EllaTheQueen6

@TeaCatherine No. My mom has two kids, me and Troy, but my dad has 6 kids, my 4 older brothers (Not Troy, and they're all married and have families) and me and my one sister (Who also has her own family.) They're all older than Troy, and I'm the absolute youngest of all my siblings, unless he mangaed to produce another, and I wouldn't be surprised at this point. I hate my father, so I don't even care, I'll just add that sibling to my pile of them
(I made a few spelling mistakes, so I edited this.)

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Ah right, sorry. I'm the oldest of five children, we all live together but I haven't really spoken to anyone outside my family since the end of 2019. You missed one by the way "mangaed"

Some late replies because busier than usual. Also, took advantage of the warmer weather to put out Christmas lights on the banister outside. It won't go on until after Thanksgiving, but feels good beating the cold weather.

@Sunsy Apologies for the late response. Been kinda busy. That sounds like a good day you've had, with the Switch games you've mentioned. Me and my mom did quite a bit of housework too, we've had some Thanksgiving decorations up after putting away the Halloween ones. We got some white and green plaid curtains with pom-poms for when Christmas comes, too. I'm getting a couple ornaments in the mail too, and I'd like to take pictures of them when they arrive.
Recently I've been playing quite a few Nintendo 64 games on my Switch, and even played Mario Party 1 with another friend of mine. That game is surprisingly difficult compared to its many successors, I find... I've always been more used to the GameCube games (the controls are a lot tighter in MP4-7), and in MP1, you may lose coins for losing minigames. But, I still had fun, and that's all that matters. I wanna do minigame island at some point.

Nice, I did see that Monster Bash video by LGR, and I don't recall hearing about that game until you've told me about it. I might give it a shot at some point, while I didn't grow up with DOS games, I'd like to play more of them at some point.

Oh, I forgot they had Jump Up, Super Star on sale, but I do have the soundtrack CD set for Super Mario Odyssey. Though it's entirely in Japanese. I agree with you, I'd love for more Nintendo soundtracks to be on sale on digital storefronts.

Gotcha, that's totally understandable. I've had it since I was younger too, so I do tend to be pretty sensitive as well. That's how I have a tendency to be kind to others. I'm with you as well, as long as it's not used to judge or insult others, it's all good. Thanks, and ouch, sorry to hear you got insulted like that as well. You seem to be a genuinely nice person, by the way, especially going by those posts we've been exchanging with each other. Words can't express how grateful I am for this Nintendo Life community.

Same here, I've been busier than usual. It was a good day, friend and I had some fun gaming and going to the local mall. That sounds nice, I took advantage of the warmer weather to set up the outside lights early. Awesome, that reminds me, I need to order that raccoon Mario ornament soon. I was going to pick it up with my friend, but the Hallmark store closed in the mall. I can order it since that's how I got the other ones.

That's cool. The closest thing to something N64 related I've been playing is Quake 64 via the Quake remaster on Switch. Hope you get to enjoy mini-game island. I haven't played much Mario Party outside 4 and Super Mario Party, the latter is mostly the mini-games.

Yeah, even though the levels were all over the place at times and I had to resort to the lives code (the HD remaster has unlimited lives from what I've seen in videos), it was a fun little classic DOS platformer. That's why I like DOS games, I never played them as a kid. We had a Mac growing up and didn't have a PC until later on.

That sounds like a cool CD set, yeah I found it shortly before I got a Switch and bought it. Yeah, IIRC, Tokyo Mirage Sessions soundtrack is on iTunes, albeit under the Japanese title (found it via the #FE part). I bought a few songs from it a few years ago.

Thank you, I feel the same way actually. To clarify, I was never called "autistic" as an insult, it was just an observation I've seen online. My mom used it when describing me to friends, but it was never the insult version. I'm grateful for this community too!

@Sunsy The irony is we had cats, which probably kept down the numbers. But I think we spoiled them a bit too much with food sometimes lol. Some were/are good mousers - my parents still own a few - but mice can be sneaky. Usually we'd get them in the winter when it was cold out. I haven't had any issues with them on the main floor of my house, but they can get up into my attic. I've also had issues with them in my garage before, but I found how they were getting in and stuffed the hole with some old steel wool I'd used for helping clean dishes.

Also: There is no shame in being on the autism spectrum. It's a spectrum for a reason; it affects everyone differently and isn't an illness, but just a way to help explain how one's brain is wired (Everyone is different, spectrum or not). A diagnosis is a good way to open a path to give those on the spectrum the tools needed to survive and thrive in this crazy world. Those who use it as an insult are either 1. Immature/edgy kids, 2. Those misinformed about the condition, or 3. Jerks who spend their lives putting down others to make themselves feel better. Bullies, essentially.

To my knowledge, I'm not on the spectrum. But two young cousins of mine are, as is my brother-in-law, and I'm acquainted with and took some college classes with a guy who has Asperger's.

Yeah, thing is the few mice we had just disappeared after we got our cat. I hear ya on spoiling them, my cat is really picky with what he eats and sometimes causes trouble if he doesn't get his particular food. Also weirdly enough, he hates fish. Mom and I love him though. Speaking of animals, one of the deer came to visit today, so here's a picture of them from one of the bedroom windows.

Indeed, will admit the worst of it (at least for me) are meltdowns and sensory to certain feels. Though sensory can also be a good thing when it's a good feel, like a plush toy for example. I've had autism since I was a kid, and those kind of insults made me cautious about talking about it. Yes, I agree, they are essentially bullies.

Cool you know some people on the spectrum. Awesomely, since becoming friends with me, my friend has actually learned more about autism and helped me in some situations where something bothered me.

Here I thought I was the only one who watched the anime. Really a good anime. Still remember the day I showed this one to my friend, lol. BTW, happy belated birthday!

@TeaCatherine It's fairly pretty. We live near Lake Michigan, so I get to go swimming every Summer. It's nice and cold here in Winter, and scolding hot in Summer. Muskegon is where I live, and it's not the best city, but it's alright. In West Michigan, we have Wesco, which isn't anywhere else in the world besides for West Michigan.

@Sunsy You watch School-Live???? That's great! My brother tricked me into watching it when I was 11. He realized I loved cute anime, so he got the theme on osu and played it in front of me. I immediately asked if I could watch it because it looked cute. I had fallen right into his trap. I wound up reading the manga because the anime ends on a cliffhanger, and I'm mad at the animation studio for changing the story. You don't get to see what happens next because the anime is off in its own world. Either way, I think the show should be more popular, it's amazing. But only the manga, I prefer the manga. Also, I had a meltdown during my autism test yesterday, and then the person taking the test yelled at me for it, which didn't make it better. I also can't stand the sound of churchbells, and I love touching soft things.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Michigan sounds nice. What's your favourite song?
Sorry, forgot to tag you and just a second ago I deleted that intending to replace it with one that did. Just had a short browse of an anime site.

@TeaCatherine My favorite song is Endless Embrace, Last Game from Steins;Gate, and any Dragon Maid song.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko Yup! I did just that to my friend, lol. We usually get together to watch anime, shows, and sometimes movies (at home or theater), and I suggested it to him. Worth it for the reaction from the end of episode 1, awesomely, he loved it. Really cool to see you're reading the manga. I haven't read School-Live's manga yet, I only have a volume of Toradora, Himuto Umaru-Chan, and Teasing Master Takagi-San.

My friend and I often reference Shovel-Kun a lot whenever we see shovels, lol.

@Sunsy Ah, man, I love Shovel-kun. Shovel-kun best character. Also, I love Teasing Master Takagi-san! I watched season 3 as it came out, and I would've watche dth emovie in theaters if it wasn't across the state from where I live. And my brother loves Toradora. That reminds me, our annual watching of Toradora is getting closer and closer. I watch anime with my older brother a lot.

@EllaTheKawaiiNeko I still need to see season 2 of Takagi-San, I saw season 1, and started season 2, then got distracted with other anime like Is The Order A Rabbit and Kinmoza. I would have loved to see the movie too, but friend and I already had two movies planned for the summer.

Awesome, hope you both enjoy watching it again. I loved Toradora when I first saw it, even though it's sad towards the end. I do like to revisit the Christmas episode around Christmas time when I want some holiday anime to watch.

@Sunsy How does a show about a tiny tsundere get sad?????? Now I have to watch this show. My brother watches all of Toradora around Christmas, sort of his tradition. I decorate the tree, put on some holiday clothes, and watch stupid Christmas movies w=around my fake fireplace.
