@BruceCM Noo he wanted to play as him or fail on purpose as him
@Link-Hero my small ring light is very bad. I will invest in a huge overhead lamp for recording/photo shooting

@Sunsy That's cool, I've heard of a lot of DOS games like Chip's Challenge and Crystal Caves, and they honestly look pretty fun. Both are on Steam, with the latter being called Crystal Caves HD. Wasn't The Incredible Machine a DOS game as well? I remember playing that during my school days.
I actually did that with my Sonic CD PC disc too, it is indeed really cool that they made it so that you could listen to the game's music on any CD player. Love the Tidal Tempest theme in the Japanese version too, it's really fitting for a water level and it's super chill. I also like Palmtree Panic's Japanese theme a lot more than its US counterpart, love how cheerful it sounds.
@Zuljaras I know I said this on your Twitter post, but you did a nice job on that miniature NES. Your finished product looks quite rad!

@MarioLover92 Thank you and the rest of you guys for the kind words. This gif shows all I feel right now

Heh, I thought the colour of the headband looked slightly different but I wasn't familiar enough with them to know what it meant, @Zuljaras .... What should he play, then, @Link-Hero?
@Eel Those chocolate chip cheesecake cookies look sinfully delicious! The only problem with using recipes from the internet is sorting through all the ads and fluff.
@MarioLover92 I'd argue BDSP are almost too close to the originals; this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but so far they feel like very safe remakes compared to the remakes that came before. I'm still having fun with it, but they definitely could have done more. I stopped buying player's guides when my internet access became more regular and I didn't need them. Kinda explains why they died out lol. I unfortunately never had the opportunity to subscribe to Nintendo Power.
@Sunsy Most of the earlier Carmen Sandiego games were geography based, so that makes sense lol. "Wanda" kinda sounds right, but honestly it's been so long that I'm not 100% sure.
On Rollercoaster Tycoon: I still have the original disc, and it surprisingly runs on my Windows 10 laptop. The only hiccup is an unknown error when exiting the game, but it still saves and functions properly from what I can tell. Oh, and the resolution is small compared to modern screen displays. XD I've heard of Two Point Hospital and Cities Skylines, but I haven't played them.
@Zuljaras Love love LOVE that Mikey diorama! He's playing video games and eating one of my favorite foods to boot!
@Cybergirl I'm very sorry for what you're going through. I hope this needless conflict ends very soon. We're here if you wanna chat. All the best.~
@TheJGG I've certainly had stress-driven sleep disturbances, but I don't believe that was the case...at least directly. Once in awhile it is due to oversleep the night before, but that isn't a frequent occurrence. Still in the research phase of that essay? I completely understand not having the time to invest in it outside of mandatory study periods; RL likes hitting like a train sometimes. Especially when multiple essays are in the mix....I'm guessing several long ones too.
Oh boy, don't get me started on the BotW2 micro-analyses floating around lol. I'm definitely excited about the game and am fine with the delay, but I feel like watching every speculation video will only wear me out. Good point on Cyberpunk 2077, at least from what I've read. I realize trailers with gameplay aren't the end-all be-all, but historically I've had better luck with gauging if I'll like a game based on gameplay footage. Or, better yet, a decent demo.
Many thanks for linking the Darin De Paul interview! It's clear that the guy has a lot of passion and energy for Ardyn's character. Definitely a very talented individual that absolutely loves what he does.
Octopath does appear to be a decent game overall; I'm just unsure if it's for me, at least 80+ hours of it lol. Yep, those who don't complain at all probably inhale FromSoftware games! Interesting that I picked up on the character inconsistencies you mentioned without playing all the routes. I have heard high praise for Primrose especially, enough that I'm almost considering giving the demo another try and starting with her. With my limited experience, I'd say I also connected with Cyrus the best out of the 3ish hours I put into the timed demo. His VA was definitely my favorite.
@Cybergirl I echo everyone else's comments, the NL community is incredible. Sometimes it's a perfect distraction. It's a shame the world has to be like this, and it's a shame you've met us through this circumstance, so I hope you and your family and friends stay safe. Hope is the best weapon we can use.
@Cybergirl Im so sorry this is happening to you, and everyone Else right now. I just can’t imagine, but stay strong, and if you ever need to talk, we are here.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@Tyranexx Ah, I see. So it's a bit of a step backwards from the previous Pokemon remakes, at least early on. Yeah, game guides were starting to become less relevant now that the internet is more widespread and faster. (We've sure come a long way from the AOL days!) Part of me kind of wishes that we had Nintendo Power magazines back in the 90s, at least - I'm pretty surprised we subscribed as late as we did, lol.

Right now in my place is 6.30 pm.
The Indie Direct will be aired tomorrow in my place at 2 am, when it is my bedtime.
How do I keep stay wake up before 2 am rather than interrupting my sleeping time and I will going upset like Sim peoples in The Sims 1 ?
@Anti-Matter There's an indie direct? I looked at Nintendo Life's home page and I didn't see anything regarding an Indie World showcase.
Anyway, I will have to agree with @Eel. If the livestream just so happens to be live while you're sleeping, don't sweat it. Sleep is really, really important - you gotta listen to your body. I'm positive it'll still be up once you find a good time to watch it.

@MarioLover92 At 3pm ET Nintendolife will live stream their own indie-direct-like live stream called Indie Spotlight. They did this before, I think it was in september. At some point here today, NL will post an article placeholder will have the link to the live stream, and NL will have the live chat running for NL users. Here's the announcement from yesterday. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2022/04/nintendo-lifes-indi...
@Cybergirl At some point in the next two hours, nintendolife will have an article post on their news page which will contain the Indie Spotlight live stream with a live chat for nintendolife users -you may see a couple Chit Chat thread users in the live chat.
As to whether the Indie Spotlight will be good, I guess we'll find out. It will probably be hosted/narrated by Alex Oleny, Zion, or Kate Gray. (see the link above for local times)
@WoomyNNYes Ohhhh, gotcha. Anti said "indie direct" in his post, so I thought he meant an Indie World stream from Nintendo themselves. I think I glanced at one of those things from the Nintendo Life home page, but I never watched it. I pretty much just go on NL's message boards to discuss games and stuff on this thread and others. I don't really go on their articles too much because of how toxic people can be.

@MarioLover92 While the comments for articles can be toxic, the live chat blog during a live stream is usually mostly NL regulars, and they haven't been toxic. (hopefully I havent' jinxed it)
@WoomyNNYes Ok, that's good at least. Doesn't seem to be the kind of livestream where they'd be like that. I pretty much just look forward to Nintendo Directs, and I'd keep the live comments off while I'm watching. I watch them on Nintendo's own YouTube channel.
