@blindsquarel
TTYD is being unbuyable for having inflated price so it really broke my heart to see retro games price got inflated crazily like that.
I have moved on from TTYD rather than keep lamenting for unable to buy TTYD. I found the replacement with similar graphic style but with different gameplay, Dodgeball Academia.
@Anti-Matter
What do you mean? I got it for 80$ today. Yeah it is more then a new game but not outlandish. Plus it is basically a new game for me. Plus I am a big paper Mario fan.
On another note, have you tried bug fables? It is like thousand year door but is only 25$. It is a great alternative to TTYD.
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG

@blindsquarel
I found Bug Fables in physical release (PS4 version) with a little bit expensive price (not crazily inflated price) already available in my country Indonesia but only one game available since it was Limited print games.
Btw, you were so lucky to get TTYD with $80.
TTYD prices on Ebay from different seller was more than $100. 😵
My good @Teksetter, hearty greetings! I miss being able to spend more time on this site, and having conversations with people like yourself. I feel like it was literally yesterday when I read your messages about pinball and Subnautica... in the early summer. 😯
I've actually been thinking about some words you wrote last, about people in the forums ignoring others and such. It's true that I enjoy conversing with you (I mean, you get my humour, which is too rare), so I'm biased, but... I don't recall many of your posts on NL being antagonistic. Nonetheless, I wanted to share the following.
First: if you ever are in a bad mood at work and need to post something contrary or disagreeable, feel free to channel your energy to me. Perhaps you could address me as something like mangy lint-magnet (it's been a cold winter and I'm still (!) growing out, I make no apologies). I in turn will address you as kept woman of Waluigi (we can all see it's true, don't bother denying it), and we can have a showdown in the comments. Just thought I'd offer in case you need to.
Second: my own Ignore List is as long as a Wii U release drought. Upon reflection, I have to admit that I myself need to adhere more to that old maxim - "less teeth, more fur". So... I've decided to remove most of the names on my Ignore List. Some people definitely deserve to be ignored, like those who look down on their fellow gamers, or are just plain hateful. But people who are just being annoying (... or young) probably deserve a chance. 😁
I wanted to add that I quite enjoy your comments in the articles. I don't think I've agreed with everything you've said, but I appreciate your calmness, and the way you champion what they call "retro gaming" (I prefer the term "vintage"), not to mention physical publishing. And... pinball is truly élite! You can regale me about that subject anytime, in English or Japanese! My best to you and your young ones!
this masterpiece of a song from the DKC TV Show popped up and i just HAD to post it here:
@TheStardustWarrior This is a superior work of culture. Your one post here is enough to cleanse this site of the stain caused by that horrifying Disco thread. My sincere thanks to you.
I’ve been playing the The Office game on mobile and it’s honestly depressing.
It’s not only a hilariously basic and uninspired advertisement-heavy wait-athon game with insultingly expensive micro transactions that no one on their right mind would even consider paying for.
That would be fine.
But it’s also a buggy mess. The game only saves whenever it wants to, and actually might revert your progress at random. The game will sometimes just softlock for no apparent reason, requiring to restart the app, which you guessed, makes you lose progress. Sometimes that lost progress includes unlocking new characters that don’t get unlocked again because the game somehow remembers you’ve seen these events before, so they stay in limbo. The “music” cuts off if you enter menus and doesn’t come back unless you go and turn it off and on again in the settings, graphics fail to load at times too. Oh and did I mention the game has a hard time keeping track of your progress? Even just switching between the regular story mode and the special event they’re currently running makes the progress of both modes reset to arbitrary points in time.
So even if opening the app and seeing the money go up and unlocking new cutscenes can be fun in short bursts, the game can and will make you do everything twice.
@Link-Hero I only had to see 10 seconds into the show, and I got “I’m watching my figure” to that comment to then get responded with “don’t worry, I’m watching it for you” then a wink, like dude, was I watching do oooor? Really cursed stuff.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

Sorry for being a tiny bit late on responses. Yesterday I bought Privateer 2 thanks to a GOG sale, and when I finished playing it, I ended up playing a few rounds of Paladins with a friend.
@Snatcher Hope you enjoy it, I'm up to level 4 on Earthworm Jim 2. Level 3 is nightmare fuel, lol.
@MarioLover92 Yeah definitely, I watched along with her, she was telling me all the features it had. It had a really long theme song (I know the song thanks to a Disney's Greatest Vol 2 CD), a news reel (mostly kid friendly stuff), a cast of kids called the Mousketeers who did skits and songs, and a Mickey cartoon. Mom remembered this all as she was watching. Really surprising seeing her get nostalgic over a show from her childhood, in the same way I do with games and older cartoons.
Yeah, all I had was this Mickey tape, and an old Winnie the Pooh tape called "A Blustery Day" when I was little... now I want to see if that's on Disney+. That sounds like a good documentary to watch.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
Been getting back into some Castlevania with Portrait of Ruin on DS. I have such a weird relationship with Metroidvania games, they don't interest me like 95% of the time but when I get into one, I'm hooked until it's finished. Just trying to beat Dracula without getting severe hand cramps now.
In real life my wife and I have been going back and forth for baby scans, got a bit of peace of mind yesterday so we'll see what fate hands us now.
Hang on to your youthful enthusiasms - you'll be able to use them better when you're older.
Hey guys...you may want to check the SNES app on the Switch. I went ahead and updated it, and I can't believe they did this, but they also added Mario is Missing and Mario's Time Machine to the Switch's SNES catalog. Really, Nintendo? Why would you guys do this?! Really surprised that Nintendo Life hasn't even covered it. I think it's better that you go ahead and see for yourself.
@Sunsy That sounds nice, I may give that a watch out of curiosity. That's cool, we also had a whole bunch of those Disney sing-along tapes when I was real young. I'm hoping to give that making-of documentary a watch, especially with how smooth Disney movies animate!

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
