@WoomyNNYes
I haven't visited the local game center at my place for 2 years during pandemic. Still afraid with the virus spreading.
I have no idea if they still keep DDR machines over there but I will extremely dissapointed and sad if the DDR machines taken away (and replaced with other machines).
Last year DDR A20 machine had removed due to pandemic situation and the owner couldn't afford for monthly payment of e-amusement subscription. It was sad as before pandemic, I have played some DDR A20 songs and took some photo of my high scores on DDR A20.
If I remembered, probably only three game center in my place that still have old DDR machines (DDR MAX 2, DDR X, DDR X3).
I live in Surabaya, East Java and Surabaya never get special treatments of newest Arcade machine as Jakarta or Bandung always get newest Arcade machines with online feature.
Even I have send messages to game center about newest Arcade machines, they will not listen as they thought Surabaya audiences have very "poor taste" in gaming from my opinion. The arcade machines that almost every where in Surabaya are MaiMai DX, Danz Base and ticket source machines. Gamecenter in my hometown Surabaya looked suck, almost have no Konami Standard. I always felt envy to see Jakarta or Bandung always get better Arcade machines than Surabaya. Currently, there is DDR A Arcade (Will get DDR A3 update from the machine) at Jakarta and at least two malls have 1 DDR A Arcade machine over there.
If only Konami want to release their current DDR on PS5 / Switch with all songs in disc or cartridge, not by making DDR Grand Prix for PC with monthly subscription to access more than 700 DDR songs like Arcade by online and e-amusement account.
@WoomyNNYes
I prefer both of gameplay style (with controller and DDR pad).
Since in my country there was an user who could make DDR metal pad by order, when I able to order DDR metal pad from him, I can start to build DDR Arcade at home as I just only need DDR metal pad + consoles + DDR games.
Just only matter of time and my money.
That's cool. I've pretty much fully completed all of them at least once in some form. I remember playing quite a lot of New Super Mario Bros. back when it came out, it was exciting to have a brand new 2D Mario game at the time. That magic kind of worn off when the later NSMB games came out, though they're not bad games by any means.
@Sunsy Ah yeah, your birthday's next month, isn't it? That'd be cool to share a pic of your Isabelle plush with us. Isabelle is pretty cute, not gonna lie! That's not a bad deal at all, only $6. I never had any Animal Crossing amiibos, however, nor Amiibo Festival itself. I think they got scalped in recent years, IIRC, so do hold on to your Isabelle amiibo for dear life!
(Spends over an hour categorizing the Pokémon I have left in the 3DS games by dex number to maybe create another living dex specifically for generation 6)
Me: “Well that’s looking mighty fine, it’s less than a third of a full dex but it’s looking all nice and tidy. Let’s save Pokémon Bank and call it a night”
Bank: An error occurred. You will be disconnected from the internet. (Game closes without saving)
I got Meet the Robinsons and Endless Ocean.
My first impression with those two games:
Meet the Robinsons = Pretty disappointing in term of camera control since you have to tilt with Wiimote motion control. Also, as for platformer games, this game didn't have basic actions like Jumping around, smash the object, etc so it was very stiff with limited actions and interactions. Rotating camera was pretty abysmal.
Endless Ocean = Mediocre scuba diving games as I felt the actions was limited, the character's lip was not moving during talking, the playable character couldn't run or jumping around, only can walk by pointing and holding B button. The game was mission based and I got similar vibe as Hakuna Matata PS3.
Well, I got two mediocre games from Tokopedia, but at least the games are playable. Noticed, when I didn't add with happy emoticon from my games purchase, that's mean I was not impressed with the games after tried them. It was either boring or mediocre or disappointing. But better I got mediocre games than unplayable games.
For the past month I've dealt with a war happening on the other side of the world, multiple states passing anti-LGBT legislation, and my stepdad's mom dying. And then on Sunday I found out an online friend put out a suicide note online and vanished.
I don't tend to bring up reality too much to this silly internet forum but I'm so exhausted.
@kkslider5552000
I would rather being LGBT peoples but still being nice with other peoples rather than being puritans who condemned other peoples for having different religion or different sexual orientation.
@MarioLover92 Thanks for the best wishes man! Also for letting everyone know about the bundle
@Sunsy O' course! Awesome matches with you and @MarioLover92!! We gotta hit the new courses and do some battles
@WoomyNNyes Yea for sure!! It'd be super fun if we can all play together, so long as I dont come in last lol. One of my buddies we played with on RL, Pasta, just got a Switch and MK8D. I'll try to get him to hop on as well ^^! I think I actually played a bit of RL that weekend too xD.
@Tyranexx Glad you've enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles 2 thoroughly! I do wonder how you'll feel about your visit to the Golden Country. I really love the emotional moments in 2, the characters and cutscenes are done so well. Hearing Shulk's line before killing Zanza, while Rex concludes his monologue as well, with drifting soul playing in the background, perfection! Also, I feel like we talked a little about this last time, but the way the world came about from the past world being remade into this new world, connecting Morytha the bottom to the very top, Elysium is such a mind-warping cutscene albeit longwinded lol. Also, lmao, gotta agree with your criticisms especially the cold gravy part lmao. On another note.. XC3 T^T.. I cant wait!
Hey does anyone know a thing or two about sound bars? My dad got a sound bar, but he had trouble using it, and he actually offered it to me. I got to test it out on my TV and it does work. At least on stereo. I tried getting surround sound to work, but to no avail - I tried OPT, AUX, and ARC. If it helps, it's a 2.0CH sound bar. It may not even be capable of surround, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Apologies for my relative lack of audio knowledge. But I will say, it's still a massive upgrade from my TV's built-in speakers!
@tekoii Yeah no problem! I don't think I got any other replies about that though. I have the MK8D DLC so we can play on the new courses together.
That was a really good day. Friend who moved away was in town and visited, so we spent the day gaming and took a trip to the store. Played a bunch of racing games, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, and some older games like Sonic Advance 3 co-op and Shadow the Hedgehog's battle mode.
@MarioLover92 Yup, though I did try some of the tracks today, my friend who visited bought the DLC, he totally forgot it came out today. So we played some of the courses on his Switch. Will do one day I will. Just got to remember where Isabelle is hiding, lol. She's probably off watching her shows going on about her TV watching habit, lol (I know she's a plush, but those moments always stand out when booting up New Horizons).
It was good deal, two amiibos and a game for $6. Amiibo Festival isn't like Mario Party, it relies heavily on Animal Crossing amiibo, but still it was a good deal Isabelle and Digsby as amiibo, and I can use them on Switch.
@tekoii Indeed, though I may wait a bit before buying the DLC. My birthday is next month and I'm hoping for an eShop card to get the DLC when the day comes. I did try some of the tracks today, a friend who moved away visited and he got the new DLC and had his Switch with him.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
Busy weekend, but I have time for replies while I wait for my mopped floors to dry lol.
@Sunsy Yep, most mainline Pokemon games from Gen 2 onward have used time to help fuel some events. Though in G/S/C and the Gen 3 games you had to set the clock manually since the GB/GBC/GBA didn't have a built-in clock. I used to dread the "The internal battery has run dry" messages in the Gen 3 games....The game could still be played, but clock-based events (not many, thankfully) couldn't be used correctly.
@MarioLover92 My sleep has still been improving, though I'll certainly bring it up when I go to the doctor next. That animation isn't bad at all, but the voice acting...I agree, it's pretty bad lol. The original VA of Ash in the Pokemon series pulled off "young boy" much better than that actress. As for Dr. Light...One of the comments under that video killed me:
"This voice acting deserves more appreciation. People don't realize how hard it is to sound like you're drunk AND eating a sandwich."
I played New Super Mario Bros. a few years after its release, though before any of the other "New" titles. I quite enjoyed it, though after New Super Mario Bros. U (The Wii U version), I realized those Mario platformers played things a bit too safe. I didn't dislike NSMBU by any means - quite the opposite! - but it didn't wow me enough to want to play the Wii or 3DS entries.
@tekoiiYep, that cutscene where Shulk and Rex's speeches are both going on at almost the same time, in different universes no less, was pretty powerful. I suspected we were dealing with the shell of an earlier civilization once the group reached Morytha, but I wasn't sure I bought the rumors that it was originally The Architect's world until the game spelled out that conclusion. I originally thought Alrest was another universe that had been generated thanks to Klaus's actions, which (in a way) is still correct. But unlike the world of XC1/DE, Alrest was built on the remains of Klaus's actual world. Yep, XC2 is still a very good game, though its flaws are more apparent than the other two Xenoblades IMO. I'm looking forward to XC3 as well, though it might not be day one. That'll depend in part when it releases in September since my Octobers tend to be pretty busy; I do game during that time, though I prefer shorter, less meaty games around then.
@Anti-Matter Ohh nice!! But isn't there some weird form of getting new songs and what not? Still glad to see DDR in 2022. Hmmm... also love the Scarlet and Violet artwork form a while back!
@Sunsy Me too actually. Since I will mostly play online, I won't be needing the DLC for quite some time. Awh awesome mega early on the Happer Birtday XD. Ohh nice how're you liking the new ones you've played so far? I can't try them till I stream MK8D... need to have that initial reaction. Would be awesome having you guys play with me when I do go live
@Tyranexx Yea, the cutscenes get me everytime lol. Ahh right, time flies we'll be back to asking about your Haunted escapades in no time! But for once, please time fly by to September lmao. I just need some more Xenoblade in my life. Kirby and MK8D, and some PC stuff should hold me occupied for a bit. I totally hear you on the shorter games especially for my livestreams now. It awesome playing multiple games in the time it takes to complete one long one, allows me to diversify my experiences
@MarioLover92 Ahh... all good, as long as people knew about it, its chill Nice dude... I want to play them but self-imposed obligations say not yet XD. But you know it's on... once I'm ready. 😠😀 Gotta get @WoomyNNyes on it too, course!
@tekoii
DDR A3 started by 9 new Konami original songs + 1 new Extra Stage song but NO new licensed songs so far. I found from remywiki, there will be 3 licensed songs on DDR A20 (Vocaloid songs) get removed by 18 April 2022. Not really big deal for me as I'm not really interested with Vocaloid songs.
More multiplayer gaming today, friend had no plans today so he came over for some gaming. We played Sonic Battle, Team Sonic Racing, more of the Mario Kart DLC on his Switch, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and Starlink.
@Tyranexx I get that message in Emerald everytime now. I still play it, even if the clock based event no longer work. I'm also thankful for Gold on 3DS, I have a copy of Gold with a completely dead battery.
@tekoii Thanks, it isn't until early April. It's on April 7th, so you can imagine the next day being a big Sonic fan, lol. I like them all, friend came back today and we played the Mario Kart DLC and raced on all the tracks. That would be pretty cool.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy Oh nice! So you got a taste of the DLC. How are you liking it? I pretty much got enough practice on the new courses, and I so want to play them online now. Kinda weird that we can't play them online outside of private rooms until the 22nd, but ok. Gotcha, yeah she's probably watching a whole lotta shows - I wonder what Isabelle's favorite series are! You'll probably want to ask her, I'm curious. lol
@Tyranexx That'd be good to do, yeah. Yeah totally, it's been a really long time since I saw the Pokemon anime, but yeah, Ash definitely sounded like a young boy. Wasn't he voiced by a female as well? I know that in Sonic X and some Sonic games, Tails had a voice actress.
Yeah, the New Super Mario Bros. games do tend to play things safe, they all play very similarly to each other. You could pretty much get by playing just one or two of the games, and not miss out on much. I'd be more excited to play SMB3, SMW, and a lot of the 3D Mario games, but I do play the NSMB games from time to time.
@tekoii Yeah whenever you're ready! That'd be cool to play you, Sunsy, and @WoomyNNYes as well.
"Give yourself the gift of being joyfully you."
Favorite games: Super Mario 3D World, Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Playing: Hollow Knight
Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
