Been finding myself playing Mario Kart online a lot...I can't stop playing it! Which makes perfect sense because the first wave of DLC will be out in a couple days. I even went ahead and did all the 150cc time trials. Also playing more of Monster Hunter Rise while the trial's still active. I'm liking the game more and more now, thankfully, and I'm getting better at it too.
@Sunsy One of the plushes I have is of Tanooki Mario, I've had him as a present from graduating from high school. I'd like to post a pic of that when I get a chance, if I can overcome my Mario Kart binge fest. lol
Oh you've got it on the GBA, huh? I think I heard of that version from a YouTube video or something. I have PSIV on the Genesis Mini. Just haven't played much of it yet.
Oh that's cool, I normally go for party mode every time I play Mario Party, with friends and family. In MPS, I found myself playing the puzzle minigames on a couple occasions. those are pretty fun.
@Tyranexx Dang, that does sound rough, I know that feeling. I hope it gets better real soon for you.
That's funny you mentioned the voice acting thing. One of the games that really comes to mind is Mega Man 8. It's a decent game imo, except for that one level, but my goodness, is the voice acting laughable. There's Dr. Light who talks like Elmer Fudd and says "Doctah Wahwee," but the one that sticks out like a sore thumb to me, is the voice for Mega Man himself. I'm not kidding you, he sounds like a little girl in this game...what were they thinking???
Ah ok, so you'd generally just aim for finishing Mario games, not necessarily to fully complete them. I actually did a casual playthrough for the first New Super Mario Bros. when I felt like playing it on a whim, lol. I ended up taking the warps, too. I actually started using the switch axe in MHR. I think I'm getting more used to the slower weapons now, I wanna try to invest more time into the game the next couple days while my trial's active.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Yeah, I liked the puzzles enough for the ones I did, @Tyranexx .... But I heard about some of the ones that were probably your tests of strength & since I'd done plenty of them, I didn't go looking for the ones I hadn't come across
I didn't have an aneurysm or throw my controller around when I was playing Elden Ring! That's definitely a much more accessible game than Dark Souls Remastered, if you did want to try it

@Tyranexx I still use my Wii U and 3DS regularly, so yeah I change it back. I haven't changed it on my Wii. My Wii remote is synced to the Wii U instead.
@MarioLover92 You and me both, been playing it more in anticipation of the new courses. Also played a bit of Mario Kart 8 on Wii U when my Switch controller needed charging.
That sounds like a cool plush. Now I'm reminded, I have Isabelle too. She literally has a bell that rings too.
Yeah, when Sega and THQ were working together to release GBA games, they made a game called Phantasy Star Collection, which had the first three games. It didn't have IV, but still a nice collection of three games.
That sounds like a nice time.
@Zuljaras Looks good so far. I'm sitting here wondering which turtle will it be.

@Sunsy Thank you and it will be Leo as he was always my favorite
@Eel Thank you and I hope he will not be disappointed! I just need to add some more details like the small green scales here and there but the painting will be the one thing that will bring him to life

@Sunsy Absolutely, I'm super excited to play the DLC tracks. They made an update that shows all the new cups, but we can't play the wave 1 content right now. It says you have to get the booster course pass or the NSO expansion pack, even though I have the ownership key downloaded. I'm assuming that they'll make another update that actually has the tracks.
Oh your Isabelle plush sounds cute! Ah I see, guess they didn't have enough space to put IV in. Yeah, Mario Party is definitely at its best when you're playing with friends/family.

They finally added that thing to iOS and MacOS where you can just move your mouse cursor between your computer and your ipad and use the same mouse and keyboard for both and it’s so…. Fancy.
Doubt I’ll get much use out of it, but at least this post was written using my MacBook’s keyboard on my iPad.
@MarioLover92 Thanks. Still not sleeping the best, but it's at least been less broken up the last couple of evenings. I've been trying to compensate by still sticking with my exercise routine and trying to fit in sunlight exposure when I can. Didn't know Mega Man 8 has voice acting, though I've only played a couple of titles from the original series. "Doctah Wahwee", huh? Not sure I could've kept a straight face after coming across that one! I'll have to look up some of the dialogue on YT.
On completing Mario games: I typically stick with them for at least a little while after the credits roll since I do enjoy them. But it's rare that I fully unlock or complete everything. Off the top of my head, I think the only titles I've 100%ed are New Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario 3D Land. Both of which I played back when I had more spare time lol.
@BruceCM Lol I hated the first Test of Strength I came across...because it was one of the most difficult! I thought all of them were that hard but discovered otherwise as I played. While I'm intrigued by all the Elden Ring hype, I don't have a reliable means to play that one right now. I'd at least try it for a bit.
@Sunsy I've mostly been using my DS Lite lately - trying to wrap up Partners In Time - and have no need to change the system time; turns out I left it on DST and didn't notice. XD I'll likely change it on my N3DS XL since I do plan on picking it up again soon.
@Zuljaras You're welcome. Cool, Ralph was my childhood favorite.
@MarioLover92 Me too, though I may have to wait a bit because birthday is around the corner.
She is, the bells are like jingle bells from a Christmas toy or something. When I find her, I'll share a pic of her. She's too cute. I also have Isabelle's amiibo because I bought amiibo festival when Toys R Us was closing for like $6.
Yeah, IIRC, Sega Smash Pack also had three games, so I'm guessing it was a GBA cart limit. Indeed it is.
@Tyranexx Cool, I needed to change my time mostly because I started playing Pokemon X. Those games use a clock function obviously.

I haven't visited the local game center at my place for 2 years during pandemic. Still afraid with the virus spreading.
I have no idea if they still keep DDR machines over there but I will extremely dissapointed and sad if the DDR machines taken away (and replaced with other machines).
Last year DDR A20 machine had removed due to pandemic situation and the owner couldn't afford for monthly payment of e-amusement subscription. It was sad as before pandemic, I have played some DDR A20 songs and took some photo of my high scores on DDR A20.
If I remembered, probably only three game center in my place that still have old DDR machines (DDR MAX 2, DDR X, DDR X3).
I live in Surabaya, East Java and Surabaya never get special treatments of newest Arcade machine as Jakarta or Bandung always get newest Arcade machines with online feature.
Even I have send messages to game center about newest Arcade machines, they will not listen as they thought Surabaya audiences have very "poor taste" in gaming from my opinion. The arcade machines that almost every where in Surabaya are MaiMai DX, Danz Base and ticket source machines. Gamecenter in my hometown Surabaya looked suck, almost have no Konami Standard. I always felt envy to see Jakarta or Bandung always get better Arcade machines than Surabaya. Currently, there is DDR A Arcade (Will get DDR A3 update from the machine) at Jakarta and at least two malls have 1 DDR A Arcade machine over there.
If only Konami want to release their current DDR on PS5 / Switch with all songs in disc or cartridge, not by making DDR Grand Prix for PC with monthly subscription to access more than 700 DDR songs like Arcade by online and e-amusement account.
@WoomyNNYes
I prefer both of gameplay style (with controller and DDR pad).
Since in my country there was an user who could make DDR metal pad by order, when I able to order DDR metal pad from him, I can start to build DDR Arcade at home as I just only need DDR metal pad + consoles + DDR games.
Just only matter of time and my money.
That's cool. I've pretty much fully completed all of them at least once in some form. I remember playing quite a lot of New Super Mario Bros. back when it came out, it was exciting to have a brand new 2D Mario game at the time. That magic kind of worn off when the later NSMB games came out, though they're not bad games by any means.
@Sunsy Ah yeah, your birthday's next month, isn't it? That'd be cool to share a pic of your Isabelle plush with us. Isabelle is pretty cute, not gonna lie! That's not a bad deal at all, only $6. I never had any Animal Crossing amiibos, however, nor Amiibo Festival itself. I think they got scalped in recent years, IIRC, so do hold on to your Isabelle amiibo for dear life!
(Spends over an hour categorizing the Pokémon I have left in the 3DS games by dex number to maybe create another living dex specifically for generation 6)
Me: “Well that’s looking mighty fine, it’s less than a third of a full dex but it’s looking all nice and tidy. Let’s save Pokémon Bank and call it a night”
Bank: An error occurred. You will be disconnected from the internet. (Game closes without saving)
I got Meet the Robinsons and Endless Ocean.
My first impression with those two games:
Meet the Robinsons = Pretty disappointing in term of camera control since you have to tilt with Wiimote motion control. Also, as for platformer games, this game didn't have basic actions like Jumping around, smash the object, etc so it was very stiff with limited actions and interactions. Rotating camera was pretty abysmal.
Endless Ocean = Mediocre scuba diving games as I felt the actions was limited, the character's lip was not moving during talking, the playable character couldn't run or jumping around, only can walk by pointing and holding B button. The game was mission based and I got similar vibe as Hakuna Matata PS3.
Well, I got two mediocre games from Tokopedia, but at least the games are playable. Noticed, when I didn't add with happy emoticon from my games purchase, that's mean I was not impressed with the games after tried them. It was either boring or mediocre or disappointing. But better I got mediocre games than unplayable games.
