@Tyranexx That's awesome to hear, it's great to see games that exceed your expectations. I had a similar experience with Breath of the Wild. I wasn't thinking that I'd be super into it, yet here we are, and I already sunk over 100 hours into it, lol! Speaking of Metroid Prime, at least with the first game, I wasn't too big into the game when I first played it, then I came back to it much later and really enjoyed my time. It's pretty amazing how our tastes in games can evolve just like that.
Yeah... I've been absent too. Unfortunately Gran Turismo 7 arrived just as I was in the middle of binging Final Fantasy XV. So I've had to juggle those two for a few days, plus hustle my aching corpse downstairs for meals in the meantime! I've been working on other covers too, including stuff I started months ago but never got to finish.
I also saw The Batman on Monday, and I've got to say, it's one of the best superhero films I've seen. There's a few little issues here and there, like how long it is, but it doesn't take much shine off of what is a really well made, well shot movie with a mostly great cast of characters, and well thought out casting choices. Robert Pattinson makes a great Batman, though I believe his Bruce Wayne alter ego is tied so close to his Batman persona that there's almost no difference. Bruce feels like Batman out of the suit, not a man of immense wealth...
Edit: Happy MAR10 day to everyone! I know you'll be particularly excited @MarioLover92!!
@MarioLover92 Happy MAR10 Day to you as well! In commemoration, I think I'll finally finish Mario Bros 3 today (it's my favourite 2D Mario yet I've never actually beaten it, I need to go change that).

But they might be real because I have seen people(hippies), during my glorious 1 month experience in retail electronics, to apply for a loan to buy the newest iPhone. So you never know how stupid can people be in their pursuit of owning branded items

Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
@blindsquarel Same here honestly. I think it's more of a status symbol than anything (and even then, my sisters prefer Supreme for that kind of message). I wouldn't know the first thing about fashion mind you: I pick whatever I see first in my wardrobe and that does me grand. Give me a football jersey and that's all I need to wear for the next year, give or take.

Happy MAR10 Day! Played some Super Mario Advance 4 and Super Mario 3D World today, and wearing a Peach shirt.
Speaking of Mario, I hope Instagram links show up, just spotted this announcement from Hallmark. If not, I'll just delete this part.
It worked, as someone who loves Super Mario 3, I need this!
@MarioLover92 Yeah, it's just fun flipping through old guides and magazines for all that stuff. Also, the advertisements, it was interesting to see what was advertised then. I just remember, one of them has Star Fox Command coverage, I remember getting that game a few years back missing out when it was new.
That's cool, hope you both have fun.
@Tyranexx That would be really nice to see happen.
@BruceCM Probably the resident Trolls fan too, but yeah, I think you mean me. Lego Peach looks cute, also, I never notice her hair has a heart shape in it until yesterday.
Happy Mario Day all! The most I'm doing to celebrate is playing more Partners In Time later. Maybe a bit of WarioWare: Smooth Moves if I'm up for it too, though I know the latter is more of a stretch.
@MarioLover92 According to my Switch, I've put 165+ hours into BotW, which does include a lot of the DLC. That was a very fun game where it was very easy to get swallowed by Hyrule. On MPT, I wasn't expecting to enjoy those games as much as I did either. The FPS elements concerned me, but at the end of the day it was still the Metroid series I know and love; it was indeed 3D Metroid, with all the puzzle solving, exploration, power ups, and awesome boss fights.
@BruceCM Should be fine as long as my laptop doesn't kick the bucket in the meantime.
@TheJGG Glad to know that you enjoyed The Batman too. Definitely not a perfect film - I mostly agree with your impressions, especially on the runtime - but it got so many things right. I liked its take on the Batverse. I think I slightly prefer Christian Bale, but Pattinson did a very good job. I do agree he was a bit too broody, though the movie was trying to portray a younger Batman just coming into his element.

Thanks guys! Been playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario 3D World today (finished a lot of levels as Mario), and I'm currently playing Super Mario Bros. 3 (via Super Mario All-Stars) with a friend of mine.
@Sunsy I love that Raccoon Mario ornament! That's one ornament I'm hoping to get this year.
Yeah, it is interesting to see what games have been advertised back in the day as well. I remember seeing coverage for games I never got, like Bomberman Generations for example. There was a small section for Mega Man Battle Network 2 in my first NP issue, though I wouldn't get into the MMBN series until a few years later.
My friend wrote today, we were gonna play Mario Party, but turns out they couldn't play since they didn't get enough sleep. Ah well. I'm playing SMB3 with another friend of mine as of this post, at least.
@Tyranexx I put around 135+ hours into BotW myself, and I still have yet to actually beat it. Yeah, for MPT, the first-person gameplay was kind of intimidating at first, which was perhaps why I didn't really get into it at first. That's cool you're playing Partners in Time. It's still a Mario game, so good way to celebrate Mario Day.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
