@BruceCM Yeah absolutely! I wonder if they'd do the Oracle remakes as well, they just remade Link's Awakening after all. Though I wouldn't be in a rush to play them personally. Been playing Oracle of Seasons on my 3DS.
@Tyranexx That's cool. I loved DuckTales Remastered, it's a really solid platformer and I did not expect Capcom to do a remake of the NES original, since you know, Disney made DuckTales themselves. I watched the cartoon itself for a bit as well when I was really young, though it was a rerun. And I'm no 80s kid either, lol. Most of the Disney stuff I've seen were the animated movies themselves, but I've seen a few of the classic shorts long ago, too.
I had my Wii U since Christmas 2012, I had Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U as my first couple of games. I remember getting Metroid Prime Trilogy when it first came out, they actually had it for 50% off for the first week or so. That was quite the steal. I have a USB hard drive. They actually let you locally back up games and saves on the Wii U? I didn't know that.
So I want to go buy a bunch of games on 3DS and Wii U in the coming months before the eShops get shut down… I have a 2DS, and I was wondering if the microSD cards that you use on Switch are compatible with it as well? Same question with Wii U I guess, but I think it has more base storage than the 3DS….
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
For the new 3ds and 2ds you can use the same type of card( micro ds). But I am not sure you can use the same one. And I think you need a normal sad card for Wii U,

Yeah, it'd be better to play the older FFs before XV, anyway, @Tyranexx .... Are you likely to get something that can play the full version soon?
Maybe those as well, @MarioLover92 but we'll hopefully find out fairly soon
@BabyYoda71 If you have a regular 2DS rather than a New 2DS XL you'll need a normal SD card for that, not a microSD. You can get adapters that let you use a microSD card in a normal SD slot, I assume those would work alright on 2DS but I haven't tried it.
If you need more storage space on Wii U you'll have to buy an external hard drive. The SD card slot on Wii U can only be used for Wii save data and Wii Shop games, which of course aren't available any more.
Come on Nintendo, give us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Switch Online
@Tasuki I think it may have been covered by others, but it's likely that a lot of this is down VISA & Mastercard pulling their services in Russia due to sanctions (I think) so digital storefronts will not be able to accept payments, rather than some kind of boycott by these companies.
I guess regular Russian citizens can change their Region to something out-with Russia to access the eshop if they really wanted to, but no idea if their cards would actually work - I changed the region on my Russian account to Poland
@Dogorilla Ok thanks for that info! I checked and one of my microSD cards from Switch came with a converter, but when I tested it it said “Could not detect an SD card”. Has that ever happened to you?
EDIT: Sorry, just realized you said you never tested it.
@BabyYoda71 No, that hasn't happened to me. Maybe someone else will know whether you can use those converters on a 2DS. But do you still have Switch data saved on that card? If so I think that might be the problem. You'll either need to format it on a computer (which will delete the data on it, so only do that if you've transferred the data from it onto another microSD for your Switch) or buy a new one, in which case you might as well just buy a normal SD card if you can find one.
Come on Nintendo, give us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Switch Online
@BabyYoda71@Dogorilla they work with a adapter up to 32gb on a 2ds/3ds. You can’t use them on both the switch and 3ds simultaneously. It’s one or the other
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
@Dogorilla Huh… I’m not actually sure if there’s Switch data on the SD card, I’ve used two separate ones on the Switch, and I think this one is the one I used first, but I’m not sure…
I googled it and on the Nintendo website it said you can use microSD cards with an adapter, but it also said they can only be 32GB or under… is that true? Mine’s 64 so that might be the problem.
Just saw 1UP’s message, I guess that would be the problem then
@BabyYoda71 Ah yeah that must be it. I think I read there's some way to get higher capacity SD cards to work on 3DS but I don't know what it is off the top of my head or if there's any risks if it doesn't work. You could look into that if you want or you could just buy another one.
Come on Nintendo, give us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Switch Online
Well, if that's what it says on the Nintendo website, @BabyYoda71, that's more authoritative than anyone else .... Back then, 32 GB was huge, so the info sounds about right!
Ok thanks for the help everyone, I think I actually have an SD card somewhere, but I’m not sure how much storage it is. Anyway, thanks, it’s been very helpful!
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
@Anti-MatterYokai Gakuen Y's premise sounds intriguing indeed. If I get the chance, I might watch the anime subbed. I wonder if Kyubi's teenage persona matches roughly what his "human shape" looked like in the original anime? I agree, aspects of Y do sound a little like Digimon Fusion/Xros Wars in that regard.
I think the problem with the Yo-Kai Watch series outside of Japan was that it took them awhile to bring it to other territories. It enjoyed some popularity here in the US, but it fell out of sight pretty quickly. Also, Yo-Kai are tied much more to Japanese lore, so I don't think the concept was as well understood or appreciated in other territories. I'd still like to see Yo-Kai Watch 4 localized, but its status is unknown after Level-5 decided to pull out of North America.
As for school feuds, they seem to be a fairly common anime trope. Unfortunately I haven't played Final Fantasy VIII, so I can't comment one way or the other on that comparison.
@MarioLover92Ducktales: Remastered was indeed a pretty solid game; I was surprised how much I enjoyed it! I saw bits and pieces of the cartoon as a kid, but the show's original run definitely predates me lol. I was disappointed when it was delisted from the Wii U eShop due to licensing issues, but IIRC it was restored once that was taken care of.
I didn't get a Wii U until summer 2015, so by that point Nintendo was trying to entice the public with all sorts of bundles. I wanted one before that, but life changes + finances meant I had to wait a bit. I picked up Metroid Prime Trilogy at one point as part of a My Nintendo discount. It was only about 30% off, but I still considered that a steal since hard copies sell like gold bricks. You can technically run games off of storage media, but I only use the flash drive for backups; trying to run games off it would be slooooooow. XD
@BruceCM Depends on how soon I delve into the Sony ecosystem vs. when/if I actually build my own PC lol.

@Tyranexx Yeah, at least a port of Sonic 4 Episode II on Wii U, given the sequel did use a 3D engine. It was still 2D, but Sonic, Tails, enemies and the levels were 3D models. It would have been nice to have both Episode I and II on a Nintendo system together at least.
@MarioLover92 Happens to me at times. I don't peak at guides much either, though I like how some of my GOG games gave me the guides to some games. I'll sometimes use them, but I have more fun looking at them. Even ones that made mistakes. Had a Pokemon Red/Blue Prima guide that incorrectly had a map to the Japanese Red version's Cerulean Cave.
I still have two Nintendo Power magazines that I like looking at, got them for free via an offer that came with a Nintendo game. They stand out because it had a preview to the Sonic GBA port, a look at download play DS multiplayer games, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon comic, and a lot of early Wii coverage. I miss gaming magazines and guides. I just liked looking at them.
Yeah, I found it kind of cool caped Mario is in this SMB3 style. It's like someone at Nintendo had Mario Maker and went crazy making levels for GBA and putting them on cards. Buying this game is perfect as MAR10 is around the corner.
@reporterdavid Welcome back! I am looking forward to MAR10 Day. Going to wear my Princess Peach shirt, and play some Mario games that day. Just got Super Mario Advance 4 on Wii U recently, so I have a new Mario game to enjoy. Well almost new, it's a port of Super Mario 3, but the e-Reader levels are new.
So Im staying overnite at the hospital after having a surgery to fix a hiatal hernia. It's not a major surgery or anything, but oh man did I feel awful coming out of anaesthesia and dilaudid. I'm such a lightweight 😂 a weird fact y'all might appreciate - the surgery involves expanding the stomach with gas; that gas gets trapped in the body and is the primary source of pain for this procedure. The weird part is...i can feel it. If I push down on my chest it's like it krinkles 😳. Anyway, just thought i'd share that. It's 11:30pm and im usually in bed by now but since I slept all day I'm wide awake and bored lol.

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.
@Losermagnet Oh man sorry to hear but glad to know that you are recovering. Yeah, I can sorta imagine that, I had stomach flu and the pain and feeling were awful already (we were traveling on highway for many hours so I was really inflamed) so I can imagine that it's worse. Best wishes mate, keep us informed.
