@Tasuki I was wondering that too, but (apologies if this was already covered in what Woomy said, they deleted their response) I saw someone online say that the point of companies doing that is to lower morale in Russia so that citizens become more aware of the war (because not everyone even knows about it in Russia due to the propaganda) and more opposed to it. It does seem a bit unfair to ordinary Russians but I can see the logic of it now.
I have a question - if I play the Triangle Strategy Prologue Demo from the eShop, but then buy the game physically, would my progress still cross over?
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
@MarioLover92 Yeah, didn't mean it as a bad thing at all. I like the new Kirby demo, and placed it on my wishlist for now. It really is a feel-good movie, try to find the time to watch it. It's on Disney+ so you already have access to it. Glad you got unstuck, it always ends up being something like that.
Yeah, I had to do some errands yesterday and picked up some eShop cards (one for the Wii U and one for the 3DS), grabbed SMA4 and Sonic 1 8-bit. I played World 1 of SMB3, then I just went to the e-Reader levels since I played the SMB3 levels so many times, it's refreshing. Loved the SMB remakes, and even spotted some Super Mario World elements, like Chargin' Chuck.
I do find it funny, I still touch the goal flag, and then have to hit the SMB3 level goal in the SMB levels, lol.
@Tyranexx Oooooo that's a good idea, at the end of a few of my college classes they make us submit a git repository for our final projects. I put those projects on my resume but I didn't link the git repository. Also yeah, I didn't even know leetcode existed until I started applying for full-time jobs! I didn't hear it mentioned once in college lol.
Yup, now it seems like you're all caught up on the fan theories...only 6 months to go 😂
@Sunsy Hmm, that's weird. You'd think they'd at least let the other Sonic episodes come out on Nintendo systems since they released the first one.
@BruceCM I'm sure I could if I really wanted to! However, a game has to really sink its hooks into me anymore for that to happen....I'm trying to be less of a completionist these days.
@MarioLover92 As the majority of my digital games on both Wii U and 3DS are Virtual Console titles, I sorted franchises with three or more games (Mario, Zelda, etc.) into their own folders on 3DS. On Wii U, it was mostly by platform (S/NES, GBA, etc.). Then there are folders for "Other" when I don't feel there are quite enough for each category, then sort them each by title/genre/release year/whatever I think fits best lol. There's also a NOPE folder on my 3DS for some of the free apps I don't use. XD
@TheJGGOh believe me, I was sick of hearing those moves called out by the end of my long ordeal. XD Though those tidbits definitely fit Amalthus. At least the fights with Malos didn't last nearly as long enough to leave such impressions. As for elemental bursts, I knew they existed but didn't quite catch on how to create them effectively until almost up to that fight (Chapter 9). I loved using Pneuma when I could pull off activating her correctly - still not sure which button combo was accidentally deactivating her at times - and those moments when I WAS able to use her to chain off amazing combos were pure ecstasy. I at least picked up on the basics pretty quickly; the game was at least somewhat sufficient on explaining them, though I'm sure my previous experiences with the other two games helped.
Ah yes, I've heard about KOS-MOS and how difficult she is to get. There are at least ways to raise the chance of getting rare Blades, but unfortunately nothing that makes the odds almost certain that I'm aware of. I agree that Monolith is pretty good at developing and balancing their deep and intricate combat systems...but I also agree that XC2 is the slowest of the bunch. XC:DE is indeed a happy medium, and (biased as this is) I wish more JRPGs had combat that flows as fast as it can in XCX.
Torna might be best for me to start late spring/early summer, after all my early lawn maintenance items are finished and all the obligatory family Easter celebrations wrap up. I'm banking on at least 25-30 hours; I hope to do some side items, but how much depends on how gripping the expansion is. I've read online feedback to where some consider it to be better than the base game in terms of its combat systems and, once or twice, the plot even. I do wish to try Final Fantasy XV at some point in the (probably far) future; I hope you enjoy your time with both that game and Gran Turismo 7! I'm currently working on some shorter titles - Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time and WarioWare: Smooth Moves - as well as trying out the Octopath Traveler demo to see if the full game will be my cup of tea.
On Celeste: I hadn't heard about the assist mode, so many thanks for mentioning it. I'm not one to run to those first thing, but...well, it depends on my mood and my tolerance levels. Sometimes I prefer to just relax vs. challenge myself lol. I'm glad its difficulty at least comes off as fair. I've had a few nasty experiences with early platformers such as the original Mega Man series and those nostalgic Disney titles pulling some cheap moves with enemy and hazard placement, so needless to say I'm pretty cautious. While I did enjoy Shovel Knight, having to traverse part of the stage from the previous save point (only to learn I'd died one screen away from another) certainly left a sour taste in my mouth. Glad that Celeste is more merciful in that regard.
@Vortexeo Linking to your Git account/repositories could be beneficial for the more technical parts of your interview process. Granted, this all depends on who you're applying to and how they handle hiring employees. Every company is different. I daresay it was easier for me to find an internship. XD
Only six months...until more fan theories! Though that'll depend on the direction Monolith takes XC3's story and if they leave any dangling threads.
Currently playing: Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy (Switch)
Yeah, it's just to show how much shorter Torna is, @Tyranexx .... Is FFXV going to be your next FF whenever that is, I thought you wanted to play others in the series, too? Do let me know if you do go on to play Octopath as well! Then, there's obviously Triangle Strategy that's just released & has a demo, too!
I was thinking about Youkai Gakuen Y from YouTube as I wanted to engage with the gameplay. I knew the game was Japanese version only but I still dare myself to get into the game and try to adapt with it.
Also, I like to watch the transformation from Youkai Gakuen Y. Jinpei's transformation is the best.
@BruceCM That's true. Wasn't sure if there were any rumors going on, I don't really pay attention to those and would just rather wait for directs to come out. Yeah, that could very well happen, maybe a dual pack of Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD if BotW2 doesn't come out? That'd be cool to see SMG2 come out, hopefully they'll give a free update to 3D All-Stars that adds it. Plus a rerelease while they're at it...hopefully without any silly time limit.
@Sunsy I'll try my best to do so. Yeah, that happens to me a lot when I play Zelda games, especially ones I haven't played much. And I don't really like looking up walkthroughs, I wanna do as much of the game on my own as possible.
That worked out great, then. That's cool, I do like how they remade the SMB1 levels. Yeah, they pretty much have both the flagpole and the roulette block, since most of SMB3's levels end with the latter - that's just how the game rolls.
@Tyranexx That's cool, similar to how I sort my games then. It's been a while since I looked at my Wii U menu, but I recall having one folder for Virtual Console games, and another for other downloadable games. Or one folder with all the downloaded games I have, can't remember which. I use an SD card for all the VC games on the virtual Wii menu, only because of how tiny the Wii's internal storage is. I put stuff I never use in the way back. lol
Yeah, those seem to be the 2 most likely, @MarioLover92 .... While BotW2 could be coming this year, I think it's more likely to be next spring or summer! One way or another, we should hear something about it this year, so not too long to wait
Good day, I dont post that often. but had a question: 4 days until the so-called "MAR10 day".... any news?
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022)
@BruceCM Yeah, I'm kind of expecting to come out in a year or two, rather than this year. That'd be really cool to learn more about it this summer. We'll see what happens.
@reporterdavid Hey welcome back! We haven't heard any news about it yet I don't think, but I certainly will be playing Mario that day. lol
Well, I think they'll have to say something about BotW 2, at least, @MarioLover92.... & you know how they like to do it, from previous times: "we're still working on that, so here's 2 other Zeldas coming in a month instead!" Maybe they'll announce something Mario related for his day, too but I haven't heard any ideas about that particularly, @reporterdavid

@Tyranexx
I wonder if you also interested in Yokai Gakuen Y in both anime and the video game (Switch / PS4 version).
I saw from wiki, the game got some updates with a lot of additional things. It was cool but I saw also there were some DLC that I definetely couldn't purchase since I will not make another account for Japanese version only games. My planning is getting Yokai Gakuen Y PS4 version as I want to increase the amount of PS4 games quantity collection but I have to be aware with my PS4 storage as all PS4 games took some GB to install the application not to mention the updates of Yokai Gakuen Y updates that I don't know how big it will be.
Yeah, it was strange for me as I have a rollercoaster situation with my Nintendo Switch as I could see a different treatment during the first three year and during pandemic. I was hyped with Nintendo Switch for the first three year (2017 - 2019) and I was like a fanboy who have half hearted feeling with my PS4 but after watching EA presentation in June 2019 which The Sims 4 will never get ported to Switch, it broke my heart and I slowly changed my mind to give more attention to my PS4 as I was blinded by my fanboism. I started to re build my PS4 games again after I sold my PS4 games by my fanboism when I got the same games in Switch version and I regret to sell some of my PS4 games after some thought.
During pandemic in year 2020, my interest with Switch suddenly dropped as my attention was on building PS3 and PS4 games as I finally got PS3 machine in 29 Dec 2019, a big redemption after I couldn't buy PS3 machine in year 2014. I got some hype again on Switch from ACNH but I felt more less motivated to add more Switch games during late year 2021 as I changed my plan to get the 3rd party multi console games on PS4 / PS5 instead. I still like my Switch but at the same time I want to give same attention with my PlayStation machines as I personally called myself as PlayStation gamer since I was raised by PS1 and PS2 games during my teenhood and college age so I felt have more fond with PlayStation games for the 3rd party games. Of course i like Nintendo games too as I have the biggest collection from NDS, 3DS, Wii and Switch games but my hype with Switch currently at the lowest point during this year. There are some 1st party Switch games I want to play like Paper Mario Origami King, Ring Fit Adventure, Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury, etc but it seems I don't really have hype with those games at the moment as my hype currently is on 3rd party games. I know i have interest with completely different 3rd party games, I still never found another user have interest with Yokai Watch games / Yokai Gakuen Y. It seems the hype from Switch games really overshadowed the not really popular games and I always felt lonely for unable to discuss about the non popular games. When I tried to discuss with some non popular games, nobody ever want to talk with me as I saw peoples here only have interest with games I don't like such as BOTW, Xenoblade, other Nintendo games I have no interest to talk about.
Pardon of my long reply. If you still have interest with Yokai Watch franchise, maybe we can discuss about as I start to build my hype with Yokai Gakuen Y and Yokai Watch 4++ before I pick the games as I have to observe the games since they are Japanese version only.
@BruceCM Unfortunately, I don't have a reliable way to play FFXV outside of the Pocket Edition. I'd rather get to the ones I can access first and have backlogged lol. Triangle Strategy might be an eventually - depends on when I get to the demo and if I like it - and Octopath might be a miss for now.
@MarioLover92 Oh yes, I have a small Wii U folder for my non-VC games too, though they're few at this time. Right now it's home to DuckTales: Remastered and Year Walk, though previously I also had the free version of Pinball Arcade in there. Most of my downloads on there are VC titles and a couple of retail games. SM3DW and Nintendo Land were digital titles that came with the system, and then I downloaded Metroid Prime Trilogy. I back up the games/saves I can onto an old SD card or flash drive lol.
@Anti-Matter Ah, I have heard of Yokai Gakuen Y! Though only the anime; I wasn't aware there were any games for the series. I believe that's where the Yo-Kai look like people? I'd certainly be interested in any Switch games, and eventually PlayStation should I ever decide to get one. Unfortunately as you mentioned, the series is mostly Japan-only right now. I'd seriously comsider importing a Japanese copy of any Switch games though, even though I'd have to use a guide. I can't read hardly any Japanese, and I only recognize a few spoken words.
No problem with the long post. Everyone has different interests. If everyone liked the same things, the world would be pretty boring.
Edit: Love those cat transformations up there. Though I am biased towards felines.
@Tyranexx
About Yokai Gakuen Y, the Yokai world has been destroyed by Alien so the Yokai from Yokai world has been reincarnated as human. Some of them look good despite Komasan as human looked weird. Ninetails has been reincarnated as teenager human (Ryusuke Kyubi) as well despite he has strange addiction, fell in love with Natsuki Enra (Human version of Smogmella) as nurse in Yokai Academy. 🤭
The drastic change was Enma become Emma (From boy become girl). Emma is a human version of Lord Enma despite the gender was swapped. As i saw some episodes from new season, there were some Yokai that still exist got fused with the human Yokai like Digimon style such as Ryusuke Kyubi + Tengu.
Speaking about Yokai Watch franchise and Pokemon franchise, i think Level-5 was dare enough to expand their Yokai Watch franchise with crazy spinoff like Yokai Gakuen Y but Pokemon franchise still selling in everywhere, peoples talked a lot about Pokemon than Yokai Watch franchise like the not so popular things never get a chance for better appreciation.
Despite i have some interest with upcoming Pokemon games Scarlet/Violet but i still have more curiosity with Yokai Watch franchise which nobody here want to talk about.
Speaking about storyline plot in Yokai Gakuen Y and other anime with similar theme, i was wondering what makes Japanese people have an idea about School Mafia or School Feud that from my logical thinking, why there must be a fight between two different schools that involved students attacking other students. It was like a cliche in education place that students are not supposed to have fight with other school. I think it was same idea as FF VIII which Balamb Garden vs Galbadia Garden of you remembered. What makes they have to invade other school ? Do you think there is difference between school academy and regular school ?
