@Tyranexx Ahhhh yeah I have heard that some of those join statements can be tough lol. I've only ever used the inner join and outer join statements in my experience so far but I know there's stuff like full outer and cross which I don't think I've really used yet. When you were doing your interviews did you ever have to study leetcode questions? I was doing some research on one of the companies that I applied for and it looks like at some point during the interview process I'll end up getting a few (assuming the interview process is the same).
@Tyranexx As for the Xenoblade 2 stuff: For the third aegis you've actually already met them before! I'll give you a hint! Klaus in Xenoblade 2 said that the third aegis Ontos "triggered a space-time transition event and disappeared forever." Take a good look at the core crystal for Malos and Pyra in the two photos below. Where else have you seen that shape? 🤔
Now I'm not quite sure if it's possible to spoiler tag photos so I just posted links instead lol
I won't blame you if you don't remember because it's such a small detail and it's likely been a while since you last played the game lol. If you look at one of the cutscenes from the first Xenoblade though you can actually see shulk appear to be resonating with a core crystal (3:59 timestamp in particular): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc37g6wT9aQ&ab_channel=He...
It's really cool when you think about it. When Rex dies at the beginning of Xenoblade 2, Pyra saves him and he appears in "Elysium". That Elysium was actually just a memory that Pyra has from the past. This same thing happens in the first Xenoblade when Shulk gets shot by Dickson and he comes back to life. In the cutscene that I linked, you can see Alvis and Shulk talking in space which is a memory of the universe before it was destroyed.
@X-Slayer You're welcome. I'm curious to see what they add next week for icon options.
@MarioLover92 You're welcome, I do enjoy playing the single player mode, different missions in either set tanks or you can custom tank missions, which are the same missions except you use the tanks you want. Cool, the Super Mario Odyssey stuff on NSO missions reminded me there was a tank portion of the game too.

@Sunsy Ah yeah there was, in New Donk City. There's even a whole boss where you're using the tank capture, Mechawiggler. Man, all this talk about SMO makes me want DLC or a sequel. I just can't stress that enough, I'd even preorder it in an instant. lol

Last Wednesday was already a one-two punch of horrific news that forced me to actively pay attention to the news again, so dealing with my step-dad's mom dying has made me feel so exhausted. Considering how I felt like I was seeing a light at the end of the tunnel after the last 2 years, only for reality to pull this.
@MarioLover92 Yup! I remember my friend told me about it too. I had fun with the tank level. I'd be down for a Super Mario Odyssey sequel, I love the game. I still remember when I went to see My Little Pony The Movie when it was in theaters, the commercial for the game appeared before the movie. It was fun seeing Mario on the big screen.

Hiya!
I got three games this afternoon from Tokopedia. 😀
My first impression with Rango was okay. Pretty similar as Ratchet & Clank despite i'm not a fan of character design but the gameplay was as interesting as Ratchet & Clank style games. I noticed the fps was not really stable even on PS3, it was like between 20 - 30 fps. So far, I have quickly reached Land of Giants chapter after first time playing for 2 hours. I think i can finish the game in three days in a row looking from the number of chapter I have to clear.
Remember, I have never played this game before, not even have interest with Rango before but suddenly I got intrigued with the game when I found the game was available on Tokopedia with quite cheap price.
For My Universe Cooking Star Restaurant, the game was running in 60 fps on PS4 version. I played as Boy character and I named my restaurant with DDR SuperNOVA Boss song Healing-D-Vision.
I have unlocked Italian female chef for the second chef who is working in my restaurant. From gameplay aspect, it looks like Cooking Mama without repetitive "Wow, even better than Mama." comment. The gameplay was not just making the dishes but you have to deliver to right customer who have ordered it, so it was like a little bit Diner Dash style.
Imagine if everytime you have order from the customers and you keep hearing "Wow, even better than Mama." comment for thousand times during making the dishes for customers. 😆
So far, My Universe Cooking Star Restaurant looked better than newest Cooking Mama game on Switch / PS4 in my opinion.
The last was Sushi Striker.
I bought the 3DS version as I want to get hiatus from the Switch version of Sushi Striker since the game felt enjoyable in 3DS style than Switch style. The fps performance for 3DS version was mixed of 30 and 60 fps. 30 fps for the world map and during the scenes but 60 fps during Battle.
Five years today since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild came out, one of the most well-designed, immersive, enjoyable games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Here's hoping Nintendo somehow find the resources to be able to make games better than this one. It's a tough bar but I feel like this year they could be onto something...
I wish the best for you guys if you're heading out from NL - take care!
@Sunsy Oh that's cool! I don't remember seeing ads for games while I was at theaters, just trailers for other movies. Are you gonna see that Mario movie when it comes out? Being the Mario buff I am, I do want to get to see it.

Apologies for the double post. Forgot to make a reply to BruceCM.
@BruceCM Absolutely I wouldn't be the only one, lol. We don't know anything about the next Super Mario game yet, but I suspect they'd make DLC for SMO, considering they're doing that with MK8D.

@Sunsy Noted x100! The only reason I signed up for a Steam account was so I could gradually access games that weren't on Nintendo platforms coughYsPlanetCoastercough, but I'm not picky about the source either.
@MarioLover92 I had a look at some of the icons, and I'd use a couple of them lol. Unfortunately, it'll have to wait until I renew my NSO sub, which likely won't be until next month. While I think the Switch could do with more themes, more than anything else I really do think it needs folders. The addition of those on the 3DS and Wii U were VERY welcome.
@BruceCM Very much so! That way when I do jump into XC3, I'm not left slightly in the dark on some matters lol. According to HLTB, it appears Torna is roughly 25-30 hours?
@TommyTendoInteresting....Is that confirmed anywhere? It's a curious theory, but XC2 also mentions that various beings and things were scattered to various worlds. Not to mention that Alvis claimed he was the administrative computer of the satellite facility Klaus and Galea were in. I'm not saying you're incorrect, I just didn't pick up any hints that was really the case.
Edit: Further evidence was provided to me, definitely a plausible theory, but let's see what XC3 brings to the table.
@TheJGGThe Malos fight at Cliffs of Morytha did take me a couple of tries, but Amalthus by far was the worst. One good thing that came out of that fight (other than the sublime cutscene closing out chapter 9) was that I gained a better understanding of how elemental seals worked and how to best rack them up with my preferred setup (Rex/Nia/Morag). I didn't feel the game explained them very well. Not to mention I would sometimes somehow kick Pneuma back to Mythra when trying to fire off a chain attack.
At first, I didn't mind the gacha Blade mechanics too much. However, as the story progressed and stopped throwing the player freebies, I started burning through a LOT of core crystals trying to find another Rare Blade before giving up. I believe the last one I awakened was Ursula, which turned out to be lucky as I was REALLY needing a healing Blade for Rex at that point. Yes, combat was indeed slow. Not too much of a hassle when you were up close and personal, but I really noticed the slow speed in battles with large enemies.
It's been awhile since I've played XCX, so while I agree XC:DE is the best of the bunch, it's harder for me to call whether I'd rank X over or under XC2 (It has been a bit), though I'm inclined to agree with your ranking. XCX nailed its open world and is more about world building than its plot (wonderfully weird though it was). Skells were a sheer joy once I got the hang of using them and were in part why I was considering trying out the unrelated Daemon X Machina at one point. Wait, landmarks and locations don't go towards the party's stored experience in 2? I was under the impression that's where some of those reserves came from?
As for Torna, I do plan to play through it between now and this fall. The problem is, both this month and the next are full of a few releases I'm looking forward to, then for me there's a big lull in May and June before Live A Live shows in July. I've heard Torna has better combat mechanics, and I'm glad to learn that the dialogue and emotional deliveries are on point. Fully agree on Rex's voice acting.
Sounds as though I should look up Celeste proper at some point since you praise it so highly. I've heard it's an excellent game, but the alleged difficulty I've heard about is a bit off-putting. I don't mind playing challenging games if I'm in the mood, but there's a fine line between "challenging" and "controller mysteriously flies out the window" in my book.
@Vortexeo Thankfully the craziest I get with JOIN statements in my work is with Left and Right OUTER JOINS, though the occasional INNER JOIN gets thrown in. Nested SELECT statements can become pretty interesting too. I confess I had to look up what Leetcode is; such a thing never existed when I was trying to enter the job market! I have had to field some technical questions in interviews. Generally in my experience, understanding the shared basics of most programming languages, as well as problem solving logic in general, has helped a lot. When I was job hunting, I also created some basic programs and saved them out in a Git repository. I would then add the link to my resume. If creating sample programs, simpler is usually better.
(I should mention it's been almost a decade since I first entered the field, and my interview experience certainly isn't one size fits all)
On Xenoblade: Outside of the Conduit, I didn't recognize the shapes at all. It has been a bit since I played XC:DE (summer 2020), and I don't believe I paid much attention to Alvis's necklace. I believe this was originally a key in the original game? I had thought they'd just updated the design. Not sure what to think about the core crystal resonating comparison, but it's an interesting observation. Definitely some interesting comparisons, and as I now search I'm seeing that this theory is quite popular.
Definitely a lot to chew on, not saying I entirely agree or disagree yet, but I can see that it's plausible. Let's see what happens in XC3.
