So, I was just procrastinating sleeping as usual, this time with a word search/sudoku activity book… And noticed the company that made it has a website with promotions for subscriptions. I didn’t plan to get one but got curious about how much would a subscription for this kind of book cost and visited it anyway…

And I saw they literally costed many many thousands of pesos, like, the cost of a MacBook Pro for 6 activity books!

Then I realized the magazine was made in Colombia. It was colombian pesos.

The subscription would actually cost around 10 US dollars.

And that’s what I learned today.

Today is 5th anniversary of my New 3DS XL Pearl White USA version that i bought on 5 February 2017. 😀
But i haven't played any 3DS USA games this Saturday, maybe i will play some before i sleep as i was busy to unlock all songs reward from DDR SuperNOVA 2 USA PS2. The unlocked songs are not playable yet until you redeem them with some points from playing in Game Mode.

@MarioLover92 That's nice, trying to think of the themes I have on my 3DS. I have a Gurumin one that came with the game Gurumin 3D, I also have a couple of Sonic ones, and I have an Anna and Elsa theme back when Disney offered themes on the theme shop. They don't do it anymore. It did work out as I have a Frozen themed New 3DS case. Cool, I use to have an original copy of Ruby, but lost it. I do have a copy of Pokemon Emerald in its place. Still need to get around to opening that copy of Pokemon X.

Yeah, they made it optional. It's only needed for playing classic Doom mods. I think the only games I used with a Bethesda account are Doom Eternal and Quake Champions.

@Tyranexx Sounds good, I usually put a bit of season salt, dill, and fresh lemon juice on my salmon. Hope the "bean concoction" comes out good. Same, I'll sometimes have leftovers too, had some leftovers last night. I think leftovers do some favors to Italian food, for example, sitting in the sauce all night.

Weather's been weird here. Yesterday the snow melted because of rain and a bit warmer temperatures, then last night, we got a dusting of snow because it was cold enough.

@Tyranexx It was snowing quite a lot here yesterday as well. The roads and sidewalks were all covered! I didn't get how many inches it was, but the snowflakes sure poured hard. It's not snowing here right now as of this post.

Sounds exactly like me, except with Sonic 2 instead, lol. I did eventually finish Chemical Plant, had a surprisingly easy time with Aquatic Ruin and Casino Night, then I had no clue what to do with the first loop in Hill Top. That's good you made it the furthest. Just curious, what part in the Cave of Wonders did you get stuck in? If you don't remember, that's ok. I've finished Shovel of Hope as well, I think that's the only Shovel Knight story I beat.

Can't blame you for wanting to play it - TTYD is a masterpiece for sure, but yeah, many copies of it cost a real pretty penny. I'm exactly the same way, but with Pokemon Heart Gold instead. Not to mention, there are many counterfeit DS and GBA games out there on eBay and other places. Shopping for retro games is a lot more tricky than it was back then, because of those two factors.

Yeah absolutely, I would want to see the GameCube's most popular hits to be out there in some way. It would maybe even convince me to finally get the expansion, assuming there's a good amount of its best games of course.

@Sunsy I remember being surprised that there was a Frozen theme for the 3DS. That's cool you got it. (No pun intended, lol.) I saw themes based on Sega's consoles as well. Other themes I have include one that has all the Mario items, and one based on A Link Between Worlds. Weirdly enough, they made a 3DS theme based on Super Mario Odyssey, which to me, doesn't make sense because that's a Switch game. I want Switch themes so bad. lol

@Tyranexx Holy crap that is a lot of snow. Over in Texas, we didn't really get that much outside of pretty icy roads. The area where I live in Texas is ill-equipped when it comes to colder weather 😂. I know in some places they use road salts to melt ice and stuff but they don't do any of that here 😅. It used to never snow here or get this cold until a few years ago. Last year we had a crazy winter storm around this time but I guess it would've been normal to you lol.

As far as XC2 goes I'd love to tell you more but again I'll have to wait until you finish the game lol. Super excited to see where your playthrough takes you next!

@blindsquarel My current computer wouldn't be strong enough to emulate something like that but honestly, after playing Paper Mario 64 for the first time on NSO, I really want to play it as well so I'll definitely look into emulating it when possible. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney as well because, if you know me, OBVIOUSLY.

@MarioLover92 Thanks, that reminds me, I have the Dreamcast theme too. The Dreamcast theme has a cool feature where opening from sleep actually makes the system's beep noise and startup sound disc reading makes. Nice touch really.

Nice, haven't seen the Link Between Worlds theme. I think I have the Isabelle theme from My Nintendo. I remember seeing that Super Mario Odyssey theme, maybe it was there to promote the game, having a hard time remembering if that was a free theme or a paid one. IIRC, the Sonic Boom theme was free to promote the then new Wii U and 3DS game.

@blindsquarel It really is, so I can't blame you for playing it on an emulator. And that's coming from someone who mostly plays games via official means, either with original hardware or stuff like Virtual Console.

@Sunsy Ah yeah I remember that! I saw it on a YouTube video (can't remember what video it was though), they opened their 3DS with the Dreamcast theme loaded and there was its disc reading sound. Wasn't there a Sega CD theme, as well? I thought I saw it, but I could be misremembering. I know there was a Saturn theme.

Yeah, you're likely right about the SMO theme. I know they make Tetris 99 themes for games that recently came out. The latest one I got was the Mario Party Superstars one. Mainly because I love the game itself.

@MarioLover92 Yeah, I think Sega released a theme for all their systems. IIRC, it was a way to promote the Sega 3D Classics Collection's physical release. I remember the game even came with Sega themed decals you can put onto your 3DS. I don't use stickers, so I just keep them on the sheet they came on (funnily enough, I do this with character stickers, I just keep them on the sheet).

Yeah, it's a good way to market stuff to people who didn't have a Switch yet. Even the Wii U eShop has some of the older Directs that showcase Switch games. I've gotten some of those Tetris 99 themes, I think I got the Mario Party one too. I also like the Super Mario All-Stars and Splatoon one.

@Sunsy That's cool. Come to think of it, I think that Genesis theme had one of the Sega CD start-up themes. I think it was the model 2's. I have SNES decal stickers on my laptop, but that's kinda it. I never put them on any of my consoles. That Super Mario All-Stars theme is my favorite one! And it's all because of the nostalgia I have for the game. lol
