So what do you know, there was a Series S at the store, so I guess there's going to be a series S in the house now. With microsoft buying everyone out, better safe then sorry.
Been wanting to play sea of thieves for the longest time! And the game pass has bound to have something I like.
@Tyranexx Hey makes sure to tag me with your playthrough as well!

@Anti-Matter You're welcome. Just remember, you will see Star Wars in the intro/tutorial (Infinity integrated tutorial in the intros) and loading screens, beyond that, you'll have everything in the toy box if you decide on 3.0.

Toy box is a lot of fun, you make your own world and play in it.

@MarioLover92 Yes, that's the one. It was a very good game. I use to watch the cartoon a lot as a kid too. Never had the animated storybooks, I think Toy Story Activity Center was the only game I had like that until Finding Nemo's Underwater World of Fun. Mom surprised me with that one on PC, and thankfully, my parents understood I just liked what I liked then, even though I was older. IIRC, it was a Finding Nemo mini-game collection.

Sounds like a good setup. I mostly use a Logitech gamepad in PC games, it has a switch between XInput (Xbox) and Direct Input (older games/Logitech tool). I like it. Me neither, I did play through Sonic Adventure DX months ago on PC just to have all the levels unlocked on a PC save. Haven't thought about it until replaying the game.

Awesome, my childhood was similar, with Sega games as my brother had a Genesis and I had a Game Gear. I still remember when Cartoon Network had old cartoons, loved Snorks and would get up early for it. I'm more of an adult cartoon fan, I'm not a kid anymore, but I still love cartoons that are more on the kid friendly/family friendly side since it's always been something I always loved, I stick with it because I enjoy them the most.

I remember seeing an episode of Batman The Animated Series and that was it, I just wasn't into. Super heroes just wasn't my cup of tea. I think the closest were Power Rangers, and Powerpuff Girls, the latter was more of a cartoon at times, and I loved the latter.

Cool, the first Super Monkey Ball was my first GameCube game. I also played Step & Roll, Touch and Roll, Jr, and Banana Blitz HD. Still need to get Banana Mania

@Tyranexx That's cool, I don't have much manga, a couple based on anime I like. Ok, I usually like drawing when I have the free time to, and it's usually just fan art of characters I like. That's understandable. Yeah, I find it fun trying to make something new. Especially if it's a dish from another country.

I think we got a bit of snow yesterday, but today, we had a blizzard. My Switch was on YouTube all day following coverage, and I did gaming on my PC today.

@Snatcher Have fun! A friend of mine recently got a Series X, and I've seen it in person too. We play Halo Infinite together via cross-play, I play on PC, my friend on his Series X.

@Sunsy Thanks, at first I was kinda eh about it, but with the gamepass, and maicrsoft getting activision, I'm actually pretty darn excited! And I ended up remembering all these games I have been wanting to play on the Xbox.

plus I don't have to pay for Nintendo stupid service to play banjo.

Sounds like it's going well, @Tyranexx .... As far as I recall, that was certainly one of the more tedious bosses, so glad you got through it OK!

Today, my another Switch game Street Fighter 30th Anniversary has been eliminated (has been sold). 🙁
I sold that game for being nearly unplayable with Joy Cons and the sound quality was really disappointing (too low until I have to raise the TV volume).
I remembered I was upset after I bought the game and tried for 5 minutes, it was really disappointing and in my anxiety, I bought Sushi Strikers Switch as well.
My Switch games collection decreased by 1 title, now I have 42 Switch games currently.

But...
I bought the replacement and got the game just now.
It was Cars 3 PS4. 😀

@Snatcher I'll try to remember! Maybe I should just start tagging the whole thread?

@Sunsy It's hard for me to sit down to draw for more than a few minutes at a time. I usually doodle at work for a moment or two to help me refocus my brain when it starts bouncing in 500 directions. I keep side dishes pretty simple - I steam a lot of veggies in the microwave - but I try to get a little creative with the main dish if I have the time. Unfortunately some ingredients are hard to come by unless I order them online.

Might get a winter storm here later this week, though the weather peeps are still trying to figure out what'll happen. I don't mind a few inches, but close to a foot exceeds my limit lol.

@BruceCM Malos or the Phantasms? I daresay the latter were more tedious than difficult.

@Eel or anyone else,

Do you know if emojis have to show through the Spoilers black-out-bar? I have never wanted my emoticon to show through the spoiler bar. It kind of ruins the delivery when being silly.

See? Because it totally gives away a dry humor punchline coming 😉

@TheJGG You know I have heard about that game but I have never actually played it before! That cover sounds absolutely fantastic though! I already know that's going to be stuck in my head for a little while lol!

@Tyranexx Man when I first entered the Spirit Crucible I was sooo lost lol. The fight with shadow addam took me quite a while to finish lol. I didn't know this at the time but I heard you can use "seal reinforcements" to stop them from multiplying so much. You're getting pretty close to one of my favorite areas in the game! Or idk you might be there already 😅

@tekoii I saw @Tyranexx recommending Ys VIII to you so I am going to do the same 😂. It's definitely worth playing!

Edit: I just noticed that I got the first post in a single thread page three times in a row! What do I win?

@Tyranexx Sonic Advance 3 was pretty good overall, I might give that game another playthrough. Still have my GBA cart, though I kinda want Sega to rerelease all the Sonic Advance games with QOL improvements like an increased resolution, controls that are more like the Genesis games, and easier ways to get to the special stages. That's what I'd do if I were them, anyway.

Yeah, in the Genesis Sonic games, especially in Sonic 2 and 3, there are plenty of sections for the player to go fast in, though there's a lot of platforming to do as well. Sonic 1 has the least amount of fast sections, I find. I'd have a heck of a time blasting through Green Hill Zone, then they hit me with Marble Zone and now everything's slowed to a crawl. What's up with that??? At least things got better with Spring Yard Zone, lol - I like Star Light Zone as well. It's still a good game for sure, it was the first Sonic game after all, but I had more fun with its sequels.

I still remember being shocked when I played Super Mario 64 DS for the first time. I was expecting to play as Mario, but nope, I'm using Yoshi instead! The manual did say that it's up to Yoshi to save Mario and the others, but my 13-year-old self didn't look at the manual beforehand. XD

@Sunsy I also heard of Buster's Hidden Treasure, that was the Tiny Toons game Konami made for the Genesis. Not sure if you've played it, but I did hear it's quite good. I played a good number of Konami's games for the SNES and Genesis, all of the ones I played were real good. Stuff like Axelay, Contra III, Rocket Knight Adventures, the list goes on.

It's been a while since I used my Logitech controller, I'll probably give that for another whirl before I go out and buy another controller for my PC. It's navy blue, and its face buttons have the same colors/layout as the Xbox's. Nice, the consoles we had back in the 90s were the SNES, N64, and Game Boy Color. So for my childhood, replace all the Sega consoles with Nintendo's, lol.

I don't think I've seen Snorks. I've seen stuff like Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, and Megas XLR, plus I remember they did reruns of old Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes episodes. I just remembered that Toonami was a thing too, I liked watching anime like Dragon Ball Z when it was around. Not for super long though, lol, because my dad would have me and my brother go to bed on 8 pm.

That's cool, the first GameCube games I got were Luigi's Mansion and Super Smash Bros. Melee - wouldn't get Super Monkey Ball 2 until it came out back in 2002. Been having a good time with Banana Mania myself, it's pretty much SMB1 and 2 on modern systems.

@Snatcher Just wanted to say enjoy your Series S. Though, the only Xbox exclusive I'd really want myself is Rare Replay. I did hear Game Pass is quite good, though I'm not sure I'd get to that since 1) I have so many games I'd want to play now, and 2) my backlog is massive. I finished Banjo-Kazooie a few years ago too, still a fantastic game after all these years.

@BruceCM Oh believe me, I've dealt with worse bosses in my gaming tenure. XD

@Snatcher Duly noted. Though I'm at a point in the game (about 2/3 through I believe) where no spoilers is increasingly difficult to pull off. I'll certainly keep using the tags!

@Vortexeo It's such a deceptively linear dungeon at first too. While I was initially glad it opened up more, I think it skewed too far in the other direction for my liking. Didn't know that about the Shadow Addam fight, definitely noting that for future encounters. I actually thought I was almost done at one point until three more clones showed up. :/

@MarioLover92 I remember enjoying Sonic Advance 3 overall. It was a nice distraction back in a time where I had fewer games and more time. I'm kinda surprised Sega hasn't rereleased those entries tbh. I realize they aren't as classic as the Genesis games, but I get the impression they were decent.

I skipped the first Sonic; I read that 2 is considered the better entry and figured that would be the game to sell me on the series. It has been a while since I played the game, but I do recall the first couple of sections allowed Sonic to get pretty speedy sometimes. Stages after that with hazards and enemies though...Oy.

I was usually the opposite as a kid; I'd dive into the manuals first to look at all the art and read the sections that interested me. For various reasons I can logically understand why printed manuals are no longer the norm, but I miss the smell and general feel of them.

@Snatcher That already sounds like a good deal. I still haven't bothered with the expansion pack, I have half of the N64 stuff on my Wii U, what's stopping me from playing them there?

I heard good things from a friend who got game pass on PC. Have fun with that, it's nice to be able to play any game. While it's a subscription, I like that all the games on it can still be bought. Meanwhile, I can't buy SNES games I want, only play them with a subscription.

@Anti-Matter Have fun with Cars 3, I had fun with that racer.

@WoomyNNYes For what it's worth, I own Cars 3 twice. Bought it for Wii U when it released, and then got it for Switch months after getting the system. Wii U version held me over for a bit when the Wii U didn't get many retail releases (honestly, if I had Just Dance 2018, I could say I have a complete Wii U 2017 physical library since there were only four games IIRC).

@Tyranexx That's understandable. Sometimes simple dishes can be good too. Had pasta and sauce tonight for dinner, mostly because my mother had pasta and clam sauce, and I'm not big on seafood.

Not too bad. I live here in the northeast so we got dumped on with a lot of snow.

@MarioLover92 Cool, I think I played a Tiny Toons game on Genesis when we had Sega Channel, I think it was sport themed though. Now that I think about it, I think Sega Channel did Xbox Game Pass before it was a thing. Nice, I don't think I played those, but I do remember playing Animaiacs on Genesis, and Turtles In Time on SNES, both were by Konami too.

That's the same exact controller I use on PC. That reminds me, I had a N64 and a Game Boy Color in the latter half of the 90's. My brother had a PlayStation and a Game Boy Color of his own too (how else are you gonna trade Pokemon. )

Yeah, Snorks is an old Hanna-Barbera cartoon, similar to Smurfs, except underwater. That's cool, I also remember Ed, Edd, and Eddy and Looney Tunes when Cartoon Network showed them. That reminds me, I use to watch Sailor Moon as a kid, that was the first anime I watched, along with Pokemon. Nowadays, I watch more anime ever since downloading Crunchyroll on Wii U. Some of the shows, I have on DVD.

Wow, you had Melee since the start. I got Melee two years after getting my GameCube. Glad to hear Banana Mania is fun.

@Sunsy Agreed, whats also funny, you can buy Banjo if you want, you don't nee to buy a whole pack just to play it, if only nintendo did this.

@Snatcher I agree. I don't mind subscription services, I think they're great to play games and try games you wouldn't buy otherwise. It's always a good option to be able to buy a game for keeps in event you want to cancel or something.

It saddens me I can't keep Super Mario All-Stars on Switch Online. Even though I have the Nintendo Selects (honestly was about to say Player's Choice, lol) version on Wii, I like the convenience of having one of my favorite games on a current system. It's also why I have Sonic 1 for almost every system, lol.
