@Anti-Matter Okay, cool. You do you. But personally, most of the best games I've played have been M rated ones. They're able to tell more nuanced stories with actual emotion baked into them. They're able to tackle grander themes due to catering to adults, and things like blood-spray kind of weigh events down in reality in my mind, giving death scenes proper weight that it feels like many games are lacking when I go back to play things like T rated games. It felt weird watching characters die in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, since every death kinda felt a bit more weightless.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@VoidofLight
I don't even want to feed my brain with such gruesome story like that.
I'm already disgust and hate those ideas.
I do not even want to know about their existences.
And that's why i oftenly said i hate AAA games due to a lot of rated M games from AAA title.
I would rather feed my brain with something cute, innocent, kiddie, rainbow, girlie, cartoonish to make me happy.
Maybe some violence but still have to appropriate for kids and teen.
@MarioLover92 I do not know if it is the first time you will play those Castlevania but either way you will have a good time!
I 100% each of the "metroidVANIA" games at least 10 times each and it is never getting old That is how much I love them!

Question for all of you, guys.
What obscure / unpopular games you have ever played ?
The games are only you know and like better but almost nobody ever knew or have interest about your unpopular games. Even i might never heard before.
@Anti-Matter I have a vague memory of playing a learning game that was called (I think) "I Did It Mom" when I was young. I can't find it on NL's database so it must be obscure.
1. Clive Barker's Undying - This is an FPS game made by EA back in 2001. It is very little known game and I consider it a hidden gem. the YouTube channel World of Longplays even published my full walkthrough of it in 2011 The atmosphere in the game is superb!
2. Sanitarium - This 2D point and click adventure is unforgettable for me and yet not many people know of it! Again Longplays published my longplay of it 2011. The game is so well done and so interesting that EVERY point and click adventure fan should play it!
3. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic - made with the Source engine (Half-Life 2) the game is fantasy FPS game set in the world of Ashan, the new world Ubisoft created for their Heroes of Might and Magic games (HoMM V, HoMM VI, HoMM VII and M&MX). The campaign is very interesting and takes you on a journey through many places. Also there is a leveling system.
4. Severance Blade of Darkness - another amazing game that has the Darksouls spirit way before Darksouls existed
5. Rising Kingdoms - almost no one knows this amazing 2D RTS game. It is like Warcraft 3 but in 2D. It is made my Haemimont Games which is a Bulgarian gaming company
6. Tzar the Burden of the Crown - again a Bulgarian fantasy strategy game made by Haemimont Games. It is so damn good!
7. Kingdom Under Fire - RTS game that only few remember! Another hidden gem!

It's insane how about a year ago, I thought that M rated games were games I was never going to play, but now I have quite a few in my collection. SMT V, Persona 5, Persona 5 Strikers (PS+ offer), both NieR games. I never thought I'd play a game with as much gore as NieR and be able to handle it, but I know that I can now, and I'm excited to see what other games I can experience with stories as good as these.
Word for word down to the exact game choices. Violence isn't necessary to enjoyment of a video game but when done right it should make everyone in the room question your sanity as you draw happiness from mowing down enemies. In the UK Persona 5's rated 16, so the M rating's less pronounced, but considering how heavy the themes are I'm surprised it's rated that easily. If you haven't played The Witcher 3 I'd recommend that (I have the game but am waiting for the PS5 port, same with Cyberpunk).
@Anti-Matter Scaler, my god that was just one of the games on ps2 that might not look good, but lord did I have a blast with that game, and I would kill for it to get a remaster.
I might be wrong about this one, but only because I have heard no one talk about it.
Spy vs Spy on the Xbox, Another gem, I wish they would remaster, they were actually going to too, but then the team quit, god.
There was this other game on the xbox called blinx, I loved the characters in this game, part 2 also added a a lot, but those tales are for another day.
None of the games I listed might not even be unpopular, but I hear no one talk about these games at all, and these were games I loved.

@Snatcher
Oh, Scaler.
I knew that game. 🙂
A 3D platformer game with blue chameleon + sliding on rail like Ratchet & Clank style.
I have never played that game before but i have ever watched the gameplay from Youtube and i already knew that title long time ago since 2000's era.
For Blinx, i still unable to figure it out about the gameplay. It was like a big question mark on my face. 😕
I didn't see any appealing from the gameplay style. Not even looks interesting like Ratchet & Clank style. The character design also was not helping me to get interested.
Btw, my attention recently was on this game.
I still keep my eyes on this game as i never have interest about this game before, nor even have interest to watch its movie but suddenly... since i found there was one seller of game shop have that game on sale this month, i keep my eyes on it until i get my salary then i will pick the game.
From character design, i didn't see any appeal from Rango but... the gameplay looked similar as Ratchet & Clank with Cowboy style. I saw some appeal from the gameplay style and the environments.
I have opened my heart to deal with some new things as long they are still tolerable for me and i have discovered some hidden gems from PS3 games. Of course the games for kids.
@Anti-Matter Sure it might have had some R&C themes in it, Scaler in my opinion was great because it had that, on top of the transformations, Changing the gameplay a lot!
Blinx wasn't supposed to be anything like R&C, I can sort of see where you getting the comparison, but from my memory, (Because I haven't watched anything about this game in a long, long time) is that is had luigi's mansion gameplay, with a time Travel placed on top of it, the only real luigi's mansion thing about it being the vacuum clock he's using.
Part 2 took this a step further, with added playable characters, and a matrix like time stop mechanic to it. god I wish they would port those games.

Obscure, Twinkle Star Sprites on Neo-Geo. I don't own a Neo-Geo, but have the officially emulated version SNK released on PC. I remember seeing this cute looking game while browsing GOG, next thing I knew, I bought it. Love this game, it's adorable, but a really, really fun shmup with a vs. puzzle element.
Unpopular, most cartoon tie-in games. I tend to play these because I like said cartoon game is based on. More recently, I play the ones on mobile are based on cartoons I like (except Minion Rush, not big on Minions, but I still like the game regardless). I still wish they were on console or PC since games can be discontinued and unplayable on mobile (looks at you Trolls Pop). Will add, I did enjoy Frozen Olaf's Quest because I like cartoon tie-in games, and I like Frozen.
@Sunsy Frozen Olaf's Quest 3DS ?
(Looked at the screenshots)
Oh, it looks like 2D style Mario games.
3DS games have too many 2D style platformer games from what i found.
I wish Disney games can be better on modern consoles.
@TheStardustWarrior Oh no please don't take at as me saying the game is trash, (I hope not) alot of people love that game, and wile I never played it, the endings look cool.

@Sunsy I actually do have Captain Toad on both the Wii U and Switch. I ended up getting the Switch version on sale on the eShop, that was with the DLC bundled. Haven't got to that yet, because my backlog is out of control. lol
That's cool. I only played a few Rayman games, notably the original and Rayman Legends. Though, I only played them briefly. The first Rayman was one of the games that came with a PlayStation 1 that one of my relatives gave me. Most of them weren't in their original jewel cases though, they just came in one of those CD zipper cases. Oh, and a busted copy of Final Fantasy VII. I bought another copy at my retro game store because of that. XD I liked Mario Paint as well, I would play that to play around with the drawing utensils, colors, stamps, and animations, as well as Gnat Attack. That was that fly-swatting minigame.
I never played the first Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, but I absolutely loved its sequel. I eventually got it for the Wii U, and it certainly held me over before Mario Kart 8 came out.
@Tyranexx Ah really? I see, I'd love to watch Brotherhood but only after I watch the first series. Unless there's a movie that takes place between the two or something. Yeah, I can handle some M or R-rated stuff. Those Hangover movies are when things go overboard, huh? I never watched them.
@VoidofLight Yeah, I wasn't thinking I would get into a vast majority of M-rated games. Though, I used to want to play Halo as a kid, I was like 12 when Halo started to get really popular, but my parents told me no. I've just been playing it on Steam for a couple nights, after I got it on sale. I do want to get into the Persona games at some point too.
@Zuljaras It's the first time I'm playing those games - never originally had them back when the GBA was around. So, totally fresh experience for me.
@Anti-Matter Not sure if it's super niche overall, but the closest I could think of now is Rocket Knight Adventures on the Sega Genesis. I first heard of it in around the late 2000s, when I started to get into the Genesis, and it's an insanely good platformer. It's right up there with the Sonic games, to be honest.
