@Eel I want to get the Zelda game and watch, mostly for the original Link's Awakening, but also because I like little handhelds. I love my Super Mario Bros. one, but will probably wait until after Christmas. Again, friends and family get me gaming related gifts. Me and a friend who play games together often exchange games every Christmas, it's our tradition.
@Losermagnet Yeah, I found Sin & Punishment a little hard to control due to the Wii U gamepad. I switched to using my Fight Pad (which looks like a GameCube controller, but it's really a classic controller that plugs into the Wii remote, while having a cool Yoshi design), and found it played better with that. Mostly, I think it's the C buttons I think, the right joystick (or GameCube on Wii's case, the C-stick), behave like C buttons. Had this trouble with Super Mario 64 on Wii U, as well as 3D All-Stars. Never had a problem with Star Fox 64.
@MarioLover92 Hope you can try it one day, it's quite good IMO. Though I find it easier to play with a PDP Fight Pad (basically a Wii Classic Controller that looks like a GameCube one, has a Yoshi theme) than my Wii U gamepad. So far this game impresses me, it looks really good for an N64 game, the story scenes feel like a movie.
That's cool.

It just occurred to me that the Mario Game and Watch added an infinite lives mode to the games. That made the whole thing a lot more convenient and easier to enjoy in short bursts as a pick up and play kinda game, at least for me.
I really hope they add something like that to Zelda 2. I might actually play it if they do!

Candy cane striped the porch column yesterday with 6 strings of christmas lights - 3 red strings, 3 white. I've never put lights up this early before, but we may not hit 65F again before December. (I used 8 strings last year. More lights definiltey looks cooler. I may break down and have to put up two more strings. We'll see.)
@WoomyNNYes@NintendoByNature I always do this early, it gets really cold in December, so I usually put out the lights early, do a small test to see how it looks, and then light it up after Thanksgiving. They're up on the outside banister already.
Though, I do listen to Christmas music early too. Mostly because I wait all year for it, but also it motivates me to get my chores done and it's my favorite holiday.

@NintendoByNature Yeah, mine are off, too, until after thanksgiving. I've got the daylight sensor/timer ready to go.
My brother drove into to town last night, and mentioned he saw houses with christmas lights on. I said, "Oh, I guess I'm not the only one getting them up early". He said, "I don't think these people's lights ever got taken down.😉".
@Sunsy Oh yeah, it was you the other day, that said you put up your lights. You inspired me to take advantage of the warm weather. Thanks! It definitley sucks putting lights up in the cold, with your fingures geting cold/stiff/numb. It was nice doing it in shorts - it was just warm enough.
watching a GTA lifestream of the Switch version.... on a Switch...

@WoomyNNYes They are nice indeed. I wish more people do those kinds of decorations here. How to say it ... more American!
Unfortunately in my country around Christmas there are ad campaigns for sick and dying people, hungry orphans and other very sad things ALL the time (during the holidays)! It is little depressing. They could do those campaigns every other time of the year but around Christmas people feel more generous and give more money.
@WoomyNNYes You're welcome, glad I inspired you. It's always been a habit of mine for years, just to make sure things are up before it gets too cold. Rest of the stuff inside usually goes up slowly, like the tree, I wait until after Thanksgiving for that. Though I have my stocking out now, only because I needed to clean it from some dust.
@NintendoByNature I see, I live in New Jersey, so the temperature usually is around the 40-50 degree mark on most years, hence why I took advantage of the warmer weather. It's still better than waiting closer to December, where it goes under 40 degrees.
Awesome! I feel like putting some music on now too.
