@Snatcher my parents won’t let me get something if it has the M rating on it. Won’t even let me get most T games if I ask for them for my bday. I end up getting most stuff digitally because of it lol
@Link-Hero He has just never Talked about what Happened to make him hate Rated M stuff, If anything Maybe we could help him Be At peace with it, But I'm just assuming at this point.
@TheJGG Junior year of high school, or college? If it's the former, I got the impression from our exchanges that you were a bit older than high school age! Compliment intended. I admit that I don't miss the school grind outside of aspects of college. Though if I do decide to ever go back to school, I do hope the homework load isn't too insane. Don't sweat timely replies, truth be told my schedule is filling up too. This month will be somewhat busy, but October will be way worse. It's very likely I'll take a hiatus from posting during that time, though I'll officially mention it in here since this is where most of my forum posts end up these days anyway. Mayonnaise is...no, just no. I've sometimes found belatedly that it was applied to a sandwich. I can tolerate it in very small amounts, namely because I can't really taste it in those situations.
Hah...It comes with having a bit of a smart mouth and a sense of humor that doesn't always work with everyone. I'm usually pretty good about pulling out liquids and electronics and putting them in the bins...ew...to be scanned (I guarantee those weren't sanitized pre-pandemic most of the time), though once some toothpaste I had in a backpack was flagged in a scan even though another TSA agent told me I didn't have to pull it. Ugh. Agreed, bone against bone is a terrible feeling. The only thing I never wish for when getting a window seat is to be right over one of the wings. THAT is quite boring lol.
I did dive into some of your XC work in progress and have read up through Chapter 3. You pretty much nailed that scene with Fiora and Shulk. Very good for a first draft so far. It would probably benefit from a bit of editing, but IMO it's better to jot down the whole draft first. I'm very interested in reading your take on Xord when the time comes. Honestly, the Ether Mine is one of the few parts of the game that felt like little more than filler despite playing a minor role in the plot. You're working in the Heart-to-Hearts as well? Good idea; the more meaningful characterization, the better. Looking forward to encountering some of those as I read along!
Ghosts of Tsushima is definitely part of my "Hopefully Eventually" list when/if I do jump over to the PlayStation ecosystem. I do agree that Nintendo games could use more photo modes; maybe then I'd be more enticed to take my own screen shots. I technically do on occasion, but...accidentally lol. Usually when I intend to press the Home button on my pro controller. FPS has never been a huge worry of mine to a point (Referring back to the Assassin's Creed III example as where my tolerance ends), though I do acknowledge fast, stable frames have their use in some game genres. It would be nice to actually power on the Switch with an external controller instead of just waking it up with the Home button; the Wii U did something somewhat similar with the Gamepad, though the drawback was that the battery drained somewhat quickly.
I do not wish horsefly bites on anyone. Don't know if you've heard of deer flies, but those are, if anything, worse. They raise itchy welts and like dive-bombing sweaty individuals in wooded areas on hot summer days. We had an outdoor dog when I was a kid, and the things would attack her near her ears and aren't easily repelled. Shelter and medication were the only things that did the trick.
I've been fairly merciful to my bandwidth lately since I've whittled down my purchases and streaming somewhat...but some of that is due to my busy schedule. I'm still not a fan of "physical disk DRM" so to speak, which is why I wouldn't blame some folks for just going all-digital on PC and most other modern consoles. Though I have a few small gripes about the Switch, it's one of my favorite consoles of all time and, undeniably, most games being present on a physical cartridge (ignoring third-party laziness) is an overwhelming positive. The WoW download debacle didn't, but downloading what's essentially most of the game via an oversold 3 MB/s internet connection that was in danger of being interrupted was not fun. Such a download would skate on my current connection.
On your images: You're welcome! I'm thrilled I guessed most of the origins correctly despite not playing almost any of those games. Maybe I've caught more footage and screen shots here and there than I thought. By website covers, are you referring to profile banners or cover photos, or are you actually planning on generating your own gaming blog?

Honestly, while I sort of get the whole gambling = PEGI-18 push, it surprises me that games with loot boxes, if I'm following the news correctly, wouldn't be included. One form uses simulating gambling or fake money, while the other involves...real money. Even if they post the odds, it's still completely random. Trust me, I used to play the game room sections of the Pokemon games (mostly just to try them out; I usually just bought enough coins to get the Pokemon prizes I wanted), and it didn't turn me into a raging gambling addict. In fact, I still have no designs on ever blowing my money on sheer chance and would only ever visit a place like Las Vegas to see Hoover Dam. If I ever do walk into a casino, it's with a reasonable budget. And I've proven to myself that I can stick to them.
@NintendoByNature That detail was nagging at my brain, so I went to revisit the Switch Purchase thread. Somehow I had a brain fart and interpreted that as Bravely Second, not Bravely Default II. Oof. I owe you and @Ralizah an apology for any confusion. I've played the former, but not the latter. Darn SE and their weird naming conventions.
@Blooper987 I luckily never had to take many online classes, though given the current world environment I'm not surprised. I hope you don't have too many online courses on your plate; as my sister found out the hard way, taking too many at once can be brutal. In her case at least, it's like the instructors think you have nothing else going on in your life except school lol. Granted, she's studying to become an elementary school teacher, and the courses and requirements in my state (IL) are known for being pretty brutal. Good on you for studying chemistry! I liked the chem class I had in high school, though unfortunately it was paired with my arch-nemesis, physics, the next semester.
@MarioLover92 Nope, they never extended the gold coin discounts to the Wii U and 3DS eshops to my knowledge. Probably because they used to provide discounts on some games on those systems. They were very limited however, and stopped being offered entirely about a year ago. To my knowledge, the only things you can get now are some old 3DS themes. I'm not a fan of My Nintendo, but some of their Virtual Console discounts have been helpful to me over the years.
I played Super Mario RPG on the Wii U VC and really enjoyed it; while a bit of it is clunky nowadays, I can easily see why many consider it a classic. I enjoyed Color Splash - it was my first Paper Mario - though the gripes I did have with it are apparently worse in Sticker Star, which is why I've never picked up the latter. Super Paper Mario was so quirky that it all just worked, helped along by excellent characters (Mimi, O'Chunks, Count Bleck, and perhaps my favorite version of Princess Peach, which is saying something as I'm actually not that fond of most incarnations of her) and a decent plot for a Mario-centric game. I'm pretty hyped about Pokemon Legends. Diamond/Pearl did indeed run a little slowly and occasionally had slow saves in retrospect, but I didn't mind those delays at the time. Nowadays, since my time is more limited, it would probably drive me crazy. XD
@BruceCM Good to know that I won't be catapulted past the point of no return without warning then! I admittedly haven't played Ys in a few days, hoping to return to the Isle of Seiren this evening. I'm at the start of another Dana section.

Random insert - Horseflies are pretty scary, but i'll take them over bot flies. Larval bot flies burrow into a host animal. And yes, they can use humans as a host.

@NintendoByNature you might find this funny - I like buying themed cookbooks. I have an Earthbound one, a Harry Potter one (well....technically it’s my wife’s), and a Simpsons one. Well I just bought a TMNT themed pizza cookbook, and in it there is a recipe for a pizza called ‘Shredder’s Revenge’. It’s a shredded buffalo chicken pizza. It’ll have to hold me over for awhile, since the game isn’t coming out til next year 😑

I can’t vouch for the actual recipes, as I haven’t made any yet. But I think seems like a really good book otherwise. Recipes are varied with a good number of vegetarian options, and a section for sweets too. There’s even a recipe for a green ooze smoothie!
@Snatcher just another reason to stay indoors 24/7.
@tekoii Yeah it's a really nice special edition. Love the art book that came with it. I have a quite a few art books in my collection, a few other examples I have include Super Mario Odyssey and Cuphead. Thanks for the motivation. I do remember getting stuck in XC1 actually, since I couldn't beat that one enemy for a story mission, but I have been doing side quests to get more experience points.
@TheJGG Ouch...that blows. Sorry to hear. I'm having trouble getting my hands on the Metroid Dread special edition so you're surely not the only one who's been in a situation like this.
@Tyranexx Ah okay, I remember now. I totally forgot that they had discounts for 3DS and Wii U games when I made that post of mine, lol. Goes to show how forgettable many of My Nintendo's offerings are. I did get a few SNES games for the New 3DS via the MN discounts, however. They've been having physical rewards now, which is nice and I did get some of them...but man, Club Nintendo was so, so much better. Loved the rewards that CN brought to the table, and it had that certain magic that really resonated with me as a Nintendo fan.
My brother really liked Super Paper Mario as well, I remember it being one of his favorites. I enjoyed it too, plus it has a surprisingly dark story for a Mario game. Of course, my favorite Paper Mario game is TTYD...but yeah, as we know already, it's out of reach unless it gets a rerelease of some kind. And yeah, as noticeable as it was, the slow saves in Diamond and Pearl didn't really bother me as much either.
